Chapter 348 It Belongs In Heaven

The key to playing this piece wasn't just about having the technical skills; it required emotions! Without that emotional connection, the song lacked soul.

Very few people could play this song well, let alone infuse it with feeling. Francis had never seen anyone do it before.

"Is this 'Hotel California'?" Kurt froze when he heard the melody, then burst out laughing. "Noah, you must be out of your mind. 'Hotel California' is a level ten guitar piece. You, a rookie, think you can play it?"

"This kid is just showing off!"

"Yeah, playing this song so everyone in the classrooms can hear it. He's not afraid of being laughed at!" Audrey and the other female teachers mocked.

But as the melody continued, Francis, Kurt, Audrey, and the others gradually fell silent. The music had a magical quality that reached deep into their hearts.

Meanwhile, students in every classroom of the punk guitar school were also stunned. It was as if they could see a scene unfold before them: a blood-red sunset over a desert highway, an old Cadillac cruising down the road, a cigarette dangling from the driver's lips, and the cool wind tousling their hair. The music evoked feelings of desolation, freedom, desire, and nostalgia.

Francis and the others closed their eyes, completely absorbed in the melody.

"This is amazing!"

"Who is playing this?"

Students in other classrooms were excited and thrilled.

After about five minutes, "Hotel California" came to an end.

"What a song! I can't believe someone can play 'Hotel California' with such soul!" Audrey opened her eyes, her heart racing.

"How is this possible? Did Noah really play that?" Kurt opened his eyes, realizing he had been completely captivated by Noah's music.

"I can't believe I was so impressed by Noah's guitar skills and got lost in his music," Kurt shook his head, feeling deeply insulted.

Outside the meeting room, a crowd of students had gathered, including Genevieve. They had all been drawn by the sound of "Hotel California" and rushed to the door.

"That song was amazing! It couldn't have been Mr. Anderson playing, could it?"

Someone noticed Noah holding an electric guitar.

"It must have been Mr. Anderson!"

"Mr. Anderson only teaches basic guitar. I didn't know he was this good. 'Hotel California' is a level ten piece!"

"He's been hiding his skills!"

'He's amazing!' Genevieve's eyes sparkled as she looked at Noah.

"It belongs in heaven?" Tears of emotion streamed down Francis's face. His guitar skills were at level nine, very high. So he was more sensitive than others and could hear the deep sorrow in Noah's music, making his soul tremble.

"I never expected you to play 'Hotel California' so well, Noah." Francis wiped away his tears and looked at Noah seriously. "Your technique is at a level ten, but more importantly, you've infused your soul and emotions into it. Even I can't compare! Your guitar skills far surpass mine!"

Francis sighed deeply.

Hearing this, Kurt and Audrey were dumbfounded.

"Ms. Vasquez, you can't be serious!" Kurt exclaimed. "You're a level nine guitarist, and even if Noah is a level ten, that's just one level higher! The difference isn't that big!"

"Yeah, but Noah's playing was really impressive. He's been hiding his talent," Audrey added.

"You don't understand." Francis shook his head. "I'm a level nine guitarist, and Noah is a level ten. But that doesn't mean our skills are close. It's just that the highest level for guitar is ten."

Kurt gasped, shocked that Francis held Noah, an outsider, in such high regard. It was like the difference between a top student and a good student. A good student might score 98, while a top student scores 100. The gap might seem small, but it's actually significant. It's just that the test is out of 100.

"Noah, even though you don't have a guitar certification, your performance of 'Hotel California' truly amazed me. Your guitar skills are above mine," Francis said. "Clearly, what Kurt and Audrey said about your guitar skills being poor is false. Even without a certificate, you can be a guitar teacher."

"Ms. Vasquez, you can't be serious about not firing Noah!" Kurt's face turned pale. He didn't want Noah to stay at the punk guitar school.

Francis nodded. "Noah's guitar skills are at level ten. He qualifies to be a guitar teacher."

Kurt's face fell. He couldn't believe that Francis, who had just talked about firing Noah, had changed his mind so quickly.

'No way! I can't let Noah, this poor outsider, stay here! Just seeing him makes me angry! Working with him is an insult to me!' Kurt's mind raced, trying to find a way to change Francis's mind and get Noah fired.

'I've got it!' His eyes lit up as he thought of a plan. "Ms. Vasquez, I admit Noah's guitar skills are better than mine. He qualifies to be a guitar teacher based on skill. But morally, I don't think he qualifies!"

"Morally? What do you mean? Are you saying he has a moral issue?" Francis was surprised. In his view, someone with Noah's guitar talent shouldn't have moral issues.

"Yes!" Kurt nodded. "Ms. Vasquez, two days ago, I got my guitar certification and invited colleagues to dinner at the Eyfel Hotel. But Noah dined and dashed!"

"Dined and dashed!" Francis's face grew serious. "Is that true?"

"Ms. Vasquez, I wouldn't lie about this. You can ask Ms. Carroll and the others!" Kurt said.

"Ms. Carroll, is this true?" Francis looked at Audrey, still finding it hard to believe Noah would do such a thing.

"Of course it's true!" Audrey nodded, sneering at Noah. "Two nights ago at the Eyfel Hotel, I realized Noah was planning to dine and dash!"

"The hotel owner beat him up. Ms. Smith, you can see the wounds on Noah's face!"

Francis looked at Noah, who indeed had visible injuries. It was clear he had been beaten for dining and dashing.

"This is serious!" Francis frowned. No matter how skilled Noah was, if his character was flawed, he couldn't stay at the punk guitar school. He had to be fired to prevent any harm to others!
