Chapter 90 Open the Gate

Lisa was taken aback. Hadn’t Noah who saved Evelyn? Why was she suddenly talking about the owner of the Rolls-Royce? "Evelyn, what's really going on? Please explain," Lisa asked.

Evelyn began to explain. "Here's what happened. When I was at Max's place, I passed out. But in my half-conscious state, I felt myself being carried into a car, and I faintly heard a voice.

"The person said something like, 'The hero saved the beautiful woman' and 'If it weren’t for that kid, I would have you tonight.' So, I concluded that the owner of the Rolls-Royce saved me!"

Lisa listened in confusion. "Evelyn, how can you prove that the owner of the Rolls-Royce saved you based on just that"

"Just wait, let me finish," Evelyn said.

"First, the voice mentioned that 'kid' saved me, indicating that the person who saved me is young.

"Second, on the way back home, although I was still groggy, I vaguely saw the emblem of the car I was in. It was the emblem of a Rolls-Royce!

"And finally, Max is a real estate tycoon in Oceanbridge City, an important man. The person who saved me must have some power and background for Max to show him respect."

Evelyn firmly declared, "After pondering over these three points, I believe that the person who saved me is a young man, has a Rolls-Royce, and holds a certain position and status."

She continued, "Think about it, Lisa, apart from the owner of the Rolls-Royce, who else in Oceanbridge City fits that description?"

Lisa nodded, convinced by Evelyn's reasoning. "From today onward, I’ll say goodbye to that scummy Joshua. The owner of the Rolls-Royce is my true prince charming!" Evelyn exclaimed.

"Wait, Evelyn!" Lisa's eyes lit up as she said, "The one who saved you wasn't the owner of the Rolls-Royce, but my husband!"

Lisa nodded and said, "After I received your call, my husband went out to save you and said that you would come back safely. Sure enough, my husband had just arrived home when you called."

"That doesn't prove that Noah saved me!" Evelyn said.

"Lisa, I was involved in this from beginning to end, I never saw Noah."

"Besides, I often mock that loser. Do you really think he would be so kind as ti save me?

"And I came back in a Rolls-Royce, I clearly saw the logo on the car. If your husband saved me, he would definitely be driving a Mercedes E350L! Does he have superpowers or something?

"So, it’s impossible that that loser Noah saved me!" Evelyn didn't believe that Noah would save her.

"It's impossible, my husband wouldn't lie to me. He told me that he saved you," Lisa shook her head.

"Lisa, you’re too naive. How can you believe what Noah says?" Evelyn sighed.

"Noah hates me too much. How could he possibly save me?"

"I guess when he said he saved me, he actually went downstairs, drove around, smoked a cigarette, and then came up when enough time had passed! He’s just a liar!"

"I don't believe it, my husband wouldn't lie to me."

Lisa snorted. "And Evelyn, you said the owner of the Rolls-Royce saved you, but why would the owner of the Rolls-Royce save you? There must be a reason!"

"Of course, there’s a reason," Evelyn smiled. "You should have seen the second viral video of the owner of the Rolls-Royce on the internet, playing the guitar in Carini Mall. The song 'Wedding in Dreams' mesmerized thousands of girls.

"And that day, we happened to be in Carini Mall shopping for clothes. I assume that the owner of the Rolls-Royce must have taken a liking to me and fell in love at first sight, which is why he became my hero."

Lisa paused for a moment.

"Otherwise, why would the owner of the Rolls-Royce save me?" Evelyn countered.

"Alright," Lisa sighed helplessly, finding the reason too far-fetched to argue about.

"I'm done talking, I'm hanging up," Evelyn spoke, her voice filled with excitement, like that of a teenage girl experiencing her first love.

"Before I go to sleep, I'm going to watch all the videos of the owner of the Rolls-Royce. I've already forgotten about that scum Joshua, now the owner of the Rolls-Royce is my Prince Charming! It's a pity he saved me but won't let me meet him! I just wanted to see his face, sigh!"

After hanging up the phone, Lisa asked Noah, "Honey, you obviously saved Evelyn. Why does she think the owner of the Rolls-Royce saved her?"

"I have no idea what goes on in her mind. Let's just go to sleep," Noah smiled.

"Ah, I don't feel sleepy at all now that this has happened," Lisa sighed lightly.

Noah had a mischievous smile on his face. "Then let's not sleep yet," he said.

"What should we do?" Lisa asked, her face filled with curiosity.

Then, she screamed as Noah tackled her onto the bed.

'You jerk, you're crushing my hair!' she exclaimed.

The next day, Noah woke up refreshed.

Lisa had already made breakfast and left for work.

After finishing breakfast, Noah stepped out of the community.

Summit Retreat Oasis was still under renovation, and he wanted to see how things were progressing.

Golden Summit Peak had an elevation of about 400 meters and a complex road leading up from the bottom. Currently, only half of the mountain had been developed.

Beyond the halfway point, there were still forests, trees, green bamboo, and mountain springs, surrounded by clouds and mist. You could hear birds singing from afar, and being there would surely bring peace of mind.

Since Lisa had taken the car to work, Noah had to ride his rusty second-hand bike up the mountain.

The mountain road was long, but not too steep, so cycling wasn't too tiring. It was good exercise.

Half an hour later, Noah arrived at the entrance of the villa.

The entrance was a motorized gate that could only accommodate one car at a time, with a security booth next to it and a serious-looking security guard.

Noah parked his bike by the side of the road and walked to the booth, saying to the security guard, "Open the gate for me, I want to go in."

The security guard glanced at Noah and smiled. 'Sir, this is a private villa community, and unauthorized entry is not allowed. If you know someone inside, you can call and get the approval of the owner, and I’ll let you through.'

The polite manner of the security guard gave Noah a good impression of the villa community.

"I'm the owner here," Noah said.

"You're the owner?" The security guard gave Noah a deep look, then glanced at Noah's rusty bike, his face filled with surprise.

"Can you give me your name, sir? We have photos of the owner, I can check," the security guard said.

"Noah," Noah replied casually.

"Alright!"

The security guard turned on the computer.

Beep beep beep!

Suddenly, a car horn sounded from behind.

"Move, move, don't block the road, you mutt!" someone shouted.

Noah turned around and saw a black convertible BMW M4. A young man in a floral shirt and sunglasses was sitting in the driver's seat, while a woman with wavy hair, sunglasses, and a dress sat next to him, revealing half of her fair face.

"What are you looking at?" the young man yelled when he saw Noah looking over.

"Julius, please wait. This gentleman claims to be an owner in the villa community, and I'm verifying his identity," the security guard said respectfully. The computer had already turned on.

"He’s an owner?"

The young man hesitated for a moment, then chuckled, "Are you a brainless security guard? Are you a moron? A retard? Can someone like him afford to live in Summit Retreat Oasis?

"All the villas here are worth millions. Take a look at his clothes, are they worth more than two hundred dollars?

"Can someone like this poor man afford to live in the villa area?"

After speaking, the young man burst into laughter and urged, "Get out of the way, a good dog doesn't block the road!"

"Julius, look!"

The woman in the passenger seat pointed to the side of the road. "It’s a bicycle, the handlebars are rusty. Could it be that this guy rode a bicycle here?"

The young man was taken aback. "It must be! Parking is not allowed here usually!"

He looked at Noah again. "You little brat, you're impressive, you rode a bicycle all the way here and you weren’t afraid of getting tired! The key is, what are you doing here? This is not your home, so even if you come here, you won't be able to get in!"

"Maybe he wants to see how the wealthy live in this area!" The woman beside him chuckled, covering her mouth.

"I'm telling you, stupid security guard, you deserve to be a security guard, you have no brains at all! You're just a dumb dog!" The young man cursed again, "Open your eyes wide, this guy rode a bicycle here! A rusty bicycle! Do you think he’s good enough to live in Summit Retreat Oasis? Open the door for me quickly, don't waste my time!"

"Julius, it’s my duty, please wait a moment." The security guard forced a smile, his forehead sweating, but he still opened the computer and entered Noah's name. The owner's photo appeared, identical to the young man outside.

"So you really are an owner, please come in!"

Relieved, the security guard opened the electric gate.
