Chapter 426 Lisa's New Husband

"Lisa, just say yes! If you get seventy million, giving Larry ten means you still come out ahead by twenty million!" Sarah urged when Lisa remained silent.

To her, this was a no-brainer that Lisa would obviously accept.

"I don't want any of the property. I just want an amicable separation—we can handle the divorce paperwork at the courthouse," Lisa said softly, biting her lower lip.

"Summit Retreat Oasis was purchased with Noah's money anyway. It's rightfully his. What claim do I have to it?"

"What do you mean by that? You've been married—dividing assets during divorce is completely normal and legal! Your name is on the deed!" Sarah's voice rose in panic, watching her ten-million-dollar payday evaporate.

"I said I don't want any of the property," Lisa repeated, her resolve unwavering.

Larry threw up his hands in frustration. "Are you out of your mind? You're turning down free money!"

Daniel's face darkened. "Lisa, how does this benefit you? If you walk away from the property division, Noah loses nothing while you lose everything!"

He leaned forward, his voice taking on a manipulative edge. "I'm not getting any younger. What if I develop a serious illness? Those fifty million dollars could pay for my medical care. Can't you think about your father's future, if not your own?"

"Dad, I'm the project director of the slum redevelopment initiative. My salary is more than enough to cover any medical expenses you might have," Lisa frowned. "Plus, you have health insurance. Even a serious illness wouldn't cost much after reimbursement."

She could see right through him—Daniel had his eyes on that fifty million too.

Daniel's expression shifted. He knew Lisa well enough to recognize when she wouldn't budge.

"Fine, suit yourself," he sighed, unable to hide his disappointment. "But I insist that you remarry within two days of the divorce. We can't leave this hanging."

"Otherwise, when we return to Oceanbridge City, all our relatives will laugh at our family."

"Speaking of that," Larry's eyes lit up. "A young man just joined our company, about Lisa's age. He mentioned yesterday that he's looking for a wife! I think he'd be perfect for Lisa."

"Tell me about him. What's he bringing to the table?" Daniel perked up immediately.

"His name is Tyrell Baldwin. According to his resume, he's from Riverton and highly educated—PhD in civil engineering. He makes thirty to forty thousand a month at our company!" Larry explained.

"From Riverton? A PhD?" Daniel could barely contain his excitement. "That's an excellent background—Riverton is the capital! And with that education, he's already miles ahead of that good-for-nothing Noah."

"Plus, he has a stable job at a major real estate firm. Larry, can you arrange a meeting?"

"Of course!" Larry nodded and immediately made the call.

After a brief conversation, he put down his phone. "Dad, Tyrell says he'll be here soon."

Daniel stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Tell him not to come here. Let's meet at Noah's place. We'll take Lisa there to handle the divorce and let Noah see just how much better Lisa's new husband is compared to him."

"Brilliant idea! I'll let Tyrell know right away!"

Larry quickly sent Tyrell a WhatsApp message.

Throughout all this, Lisa remained silent.

One hour later, they arrived at Oasis Villa.

"Noah really lucked out, latching onto Bodhi and getting to live in a villa," Sarah remarked, eyeing the luxurious homes with barely concealed jealousy.

"Who cares if he lives in a villa? It's not his—it belongs to Bodhi. Nothing to be envious about," Larry said with a dismissive smile.

Sarah nodded.

Larry checked his watch. "Tyrell should be here by now."

As if on cue, a black BMW X5 pulled up smoothly and parked by the curb.

The driver's door opened, and a man stepped out.

He appeared to be in his early thirties, dressed in a business suit. His complexion was somewhat dark, his features unremarkable, and he wore thick glasses that marked him as an academic type.

"Larry!"

After exiting the car, the man scanned his surroundings before his eyes landed on Larry and lit up with recognition.

"Tyrell, you made it!"

Larry greeted him warmly.

"You said you'd introduce me to a potential wife—of course I came! I'm thirty-two already. If I don't get married soon, I might end up single forever!" Tyrell chuckled. "So, where is she?"

"Right here!"

Larry pointed at Lisa.

Tyrell followed the direction of Larry's finger and saw a young woman standing there.

She had delicate features and carried herself with a quiet dignity.

One look was all it took for Tyrell to freeze, his eyes filling with undisguised desire.

"Tyrell, this is my sister-in-law. What do you think?" Larry asked.

"Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful! Let's go get our marriage license right now!" Tyrell could barely contain his eagerness.

"Not so fast. First, we need to go inside and meet Lisa's soon-to-be ex-husband," Larry said with a smirk.

Tyrell's eyes flashed with understanding. He'd been told Lisa was previously married, which had initially made him hesitant.

But after seeing her beauty, what did it matter if she was divorced? He'd take her regardless!

"Meeting the ex? Fine by me."

Tyrell nodded, then turned his confident gaze toward Lisa.

"Lisa, I'll show you just how much better I am than your ex-husband. You won't regret choosing me."

With that, Tyrell strode purposefully toward Oasis Villa.

"This Tyrell may be a bit older, but he's decisive, highly educated, and from a good family. Perfect husband material for Lisa," Daniel nodded with satisfaction as he watched Tyrell walk ahead.

The group entered Oasis Villa and soon arrived at Noah's front door.

"It's still morning. Noah's probably still sleeping—losers like him never get up early," Daniel remarked, looking at the closed door as he pulled out his phone and dialed Noah's number.

"Noah, get your ass out here. Lisa's back!" he barked into the phone.

"My wife's home?" Noah's surprised voice came through the speaker. "I'll be right out."

Moments later, the door opened, and Noah emerged, his eyes still heavy with sleep.

Stepping outside, Noah froze momentarily. He hadn't expected to see not just Daniel and Lisa, but also Larry and Sarah—plus a stranger he didn't recognize.

When Lisa saw Noah, her nose stung with emotion, and she barely managed to hold back her tears.
