Chapter 231 - We Can't Afford This!

"Okay, Noah, please come quickly!" Grace's voice choked with emotion.

After ending the call, Noah walked out of the villa and dialed Ethan's number along the way:

"Ethan, bring some people with you and go to the Noah barbecue restaurant on Orchard Breeze Avenue. There's trouble happening there. Come and help," Ethan said urgently.

"What! There's more trouble?" Ethan exclaimed.

Immediately, Ethan replied, "Noah, wait for me, I'll bring some people and come right now."

Currently, Ethan's status in Oceanbridge City was soaring and had great momentum, especially after Luke's downfall. Ethan absorbed a lot of his power, extending his influence beyond the impoverished areas to other places as well.

After notifying Ethan, Noah got into his car and headed to Orchard Breeze Avenue.

Half an hour later, Noah arrived at the Noah barbecue restaurant.

However, the entire place was in ruins by this time.

The barbecue grills, tables, and chairs were all knocked over. Broken beer bottles covered the ground. Seven or eight heavily tattooed men were wreaking havoc, wielding baseball bats and metal pipes, creating thunderous sounds as they smashed and destroyed everything.

Several customers were injured and lay on the ground, bloodied and moaning.

Grace and Charlotte stood trembling on the side, too afraid to intervene.

Noah stepped out of the car and upon seeing this scene, his brows furrowed and a coldness flashed in his eyes.

  "Stop it!" he said sternly.

His voice was icy, like a freezing frost, causing a shiver to run through everyone present.

The seven or eight men who were causing the chaos immediately stopped and turned their gazes towards Noah.

"Noah!" Grace and Charlotte both exclaimed in relief when they saw him, their faces lighting up. They walked over to him.

With Noah's arrival, they both felt a sense of security and comfort.

"Who the hell are you, kid?" the leading man asked, looking at Noah expressionlessly. He held a steel pipe and his tall and muscular physique towered at 6'1", giving off a strong sense of intimidation.

"This doesn't concern you. Get lost!" the man coldly retorted.

Noah responded calmly, "It does concern me when you guys are causing chaos for no reason, hampering other people's businesses. Anyone with a sense of public responsibility would step in."

"Heh, meddlesome rat," the man sneered. "I'm Alexander. I got into trouble and got locked up. I'm here for revenge this time."

"Alexander?" Noah rubbed his chin. This "Alexander" mentioned by the man was most likely the same one from yesterday.

"He's suspected of fraud and deserves punishment. Do you guys also want to join him in prison?" Noah said with a smile.

"Kid, if it weren't for this barbecue joint, would I, Alexander, end up in there?"

  The man became furious.

Alexander, his own brother, was seen by someone getting arrested here by the police last night. It was clear that it was the people from this barbecue joint who reported him.

So tonight, he came directly with his crew to smash the barbecue joint and get revenge.

"I'm putting it out there, Alexander was thrown in the slammer because of this barbecue joint. So this barbecue joint won't be able to stay open!" the man continued.

As soon as Grace heard this, her expression changed.

She had just opened this barbecue joint not long ago and it was thriving every day, gaining popularity. She put a lot of effort into it.

If the barbecue joint couldn't continue operating, it would be a huge blow to her.

Noah's gaze flickered slightly. This man only brought seven or eight people, but dared to say that the barbecue joint couldn't stay open. Obviously, someone was backing him up. Otherwise, he wouldn't have had the audacity.

"Thinking that knowing a few people gives you the power to do whatever you want and make a barbecue joint shutdown? Quite impressive," Noah sneered.

"But sorry, you may have someone backing you up, but this barbecue joint also has someone backing it up."

  "Somebody?"

The man was momentarily stunned when he heard this. "Who?"

  "Me."

"You?" The man burst into laughter as if he had heard a joke.

"Who do you think you are, kid? You think you can protect this barbecue joint? Do you know who is backing me up? Oceanbridge City's Lucas!"

  "Lucas? Never heard of him."

Noah shook his head. He only knew of people like Mason and Luke in the Oceanbridge City scene. But ever since Luke got caught, Noah considered himself capable of taking on anyone in the Oceanbridge City scene.

"You never heard of our Lucas? You're so short-sighted!" Contempt appeared in the man's eyes as he looked at Noah.

"You still dare to pretend that you have something to do with this barbecue joint. You really don't know the immensity of heaven and earth!"

  Clatter, clatter, clatter!

  At this moment, footsteps approached.

A group of over ten people walked over.

The leader was also a man, wearing an earring and a tattoo of a blue dragon on his shoulder. He looked fierce and menacing.

It was Orchard Breeze Avenue's Jack.

"Noah, my little brother told me that something happened at Noah barbecue restaurant, so I brought people here," Jack said as he saw Noah. He then glanced at the seven or eight men who were vandalizing and asked, "Noah, are these the guys causing trouble?"

Jack had some flattering thoughts about Noah in his mind.

After all, this person was generous, transferring fifty million immediately, and didn't care about it at all.

What kind of terrifying background does this person have?

So when he heard that Noah's barbecue restaurant was in trouble, he immediately brought people to help.

If he could resolve the trouble, gain Noah's favor, it would definitely be worth it.

  "Hmm." Noah nodded.

"All of you, quickly cover your heads and squat!" Jack nodded and looked at the seven or eight men in front of him, shouting coldly:

"Don't even have the self-awareness to pee on your own! Causing trouble in my territory, Jack! Simply courting death! If you don't squat down now, I'll take action!"

As he spoke, the henchmen that Jack had brought with him all took a step forward, their eyes coldly staring at the seven or eight men in front of them.

There were around twenty or thirty of them, each holding steel pipes and iron rods, naturally not afraid of these people.

"Jack? Nowadays, anyone in the streets can be called 'brother'?" The leader of the men sneered at Jack and gave him a glance. "I advise you to quickly leave. If you anger me, even if you're a dragon, I'll turn you into an insect!"

He didn't put Jack in his eyes at all.

"Hmm?" Hearing this, Jack frowned and asked coldly, "You don't even put me, Jack from Orchard Breeze Avenue, in your eyes. Kid, which street are you from?"

"Which street I'm from, you're not worthy of knowing." There was arrogance in the man's eyes. "I'll only tell you that I have Lucas backing me."

"Lucas?" Jack's eyes flashed as if he realized something, and he hastily asked, "Which Lucas?"

"In Oceanbridge City, how many Lucases can there be?" The man glanced at Jack contemptuously.

Hearing this, Jack's face changed drastically. He took a cold breath and trembled in fear. This man was related to Lucas?

Thinking of this, Jack immediately looked at Noah and said, "Noah, it's best for us not to get involved in this mess. This guy has a terrifying background, and we can't afford to provoke him!"
