Chapter 209 Revenge
Noah's gaze was ice-cold. He didn't say anything and slapped him again.
The sound of the slaps were clear and crisp, echoing one after another.
In less than a minute, Gideon's face turned purple and swelled up.
"Ah! Ah! It hurts!
"Stop hitting me! Stop hitting me!
"I'll kneel, I'll kneel, I apologize, please stop hitting me!"
In the end, Gideon gave in.
He had never been beaten like this before in his life.
The pain was unbearable, and he instantly surrendered.
Plop!
Gideon knelt in front of Noah, trembling as he spoke.
"Noah, I'm sorry for what I said earlier!"
Noah stood with his hands behind his back and gazed at Evelyn, domineering and unquestionable.
"And you, kneel down and apologize too."
"What? I have to kneel and apologize too?"
Evelyn widened her eyes, thinking she had misheard. Why should she apologize to this loser?
"Noah, you worthless loser. You're dreaming if you think I'll kneel and apologize to you!" Evelyn coldly retorted, disdain filling her eyes. "Do you even know what you are? You’re just a delivery boy! Who are you to make me kneel and apologize?
"I'm Lisa's best friend. If she finds out you made me kneel and apologize, she'll teach you a lesson!"
"Oh? So you won't kneel?" Noah frowned, a chilling expression appearing in his eyes as he approached Evelyn.
"What are you doing?"
Evelyn's face slightly changed, fear flickering in her eyes as she glanced at Gideon.
Gideon had already been beaten and looked completely unrecognizable.
"You hit Gideon, are you going to hit me too?" Evelyn shouted coldly, then shook her head. "Hmph, impossible! What gives you the right to hit me, you worthless loser?"
As soon as she finished speaking, a crisp slap resounded.
Another red palm print appeared on Evelyn's face, the searing pain causing blood to trickle from her gums.
"You worthless coward, why shouldn't I hit you?"
Noah raised his hand and delivered another slap.
"Do you really think I'm a pushover who you can manipulate as you please?
"Do you even realize what you are? You pretend to be above it all and preach about being single, and not married, hah, in reality, you're just a gold digger! You go after anyone with money! You always fantasize about marrying into a wealthy family, but have you ever looked in the mirror to see your true nature, to see if you're worthy of marrying into a wealthy family?
"First Joshua, now Gideon. Tsk tsk, your ability to kneel and lick the boots of the rich is quite impressive."
In just a few sentences, Noah slapped Evelyn five times.
Evelyn's face also swelled up.
"Noah... you coward, how dare you hit me! I'm going to kill you!" Evelyn seethed, her eyes bloodshot as she lunged toward Noah with clenched teeth and flailing limbs.
Bang!
But before she could reach Noah, he kicked her away.
Thud!
Evelyn landed heavily on the ground, feeling as if her bones had been shattered and her organs had disintegrated. The pain was intense and unbearable.
"Boo hoo..." Finally, Evelyn couldn't hold back anymore and burst into tears.
"Noah... you coward, you hit a woman! You're not a man... boo hoo..." she sobbed. "I'm going to tell Lisa..."
"Crying won't work on me. Tattling won't work on me either," Noah smirked, approaching Evelyn. He grabbed her snow-white neck with his fair left hand, lifting her up.
"You coward... let me go!" Evelyn struggled relentlessly, but to no avail.
"I can tolerate you calling me a coward, after all, you're just a woman with no restraint or sense." Noah gazed at Evelyn, emanating a chilling coldness that made her tremble and sent shivers down her spine.
"But..." Noah's gaze grew icier. "You shouldn't have slandered me, accused me of infidelity and made Lisa upset, which almost led to divorce."
Noah tightened his grip on Evelyn's neck, and she could feel her breath being cut off. She coughed incessantly, her eyeballs bulged, and she looked as if she was about to suffocate.
And in that moment, Noah continued to apply pressure with his hand.
Cough... cough... Evelyn felt like she was suffocating. She coughed uncontrollably. Panic filled her face, her pupils shrinking. She was terrified and sweating profusely. Her legs were weak with fear.
If she didn't apologize soon, she suspected Noah would actually choke her to death!
"I apologize... I'll kneel..." Evelyn's voice trembled as she mustered the strength to speak those words.
Noah released his grip.
Evelyn fell to the ground.
"Huff... Pant..."
She clutched her chest, taking deep breaths, feeling the cool air entering her throat as the suffocating sensation gradually dissipated.
"Kneel down," Noah said as he crossed his arms and looked down at Evelyn.
Evelyn's expression twisted. She was reluctant to apologize to this cowardly man, let alone kneel before him. She absolutely refused.
But... as she recalled the suffocating sensation that had nearly killed her just moments ago, her heart pounded with fear.
In the end...
Thud!
Evelyn gritted her teeth and knelt in front of Noah, bowing her head and speaking with a trembling voice. "Noah, I apologize for what I said to you. I was out of line and I hope you don't take it to heart.
"I also apologize for accusing you of cheating. I'm sorry... please forgive me."
Noah's expression remained unchanged as he looked at Gideon.
"Did you leave a good review?"
Gideon trembled and quickly replied, "Yes, I left a perfect review! And I even took a photo of the takeout to accompany the review!"
To Gideon, Noah was a disaster and he wished for Noah to leave as soon as possible.
"Great, as long as it's good."
Noah turned around with his hands behind his back and walked toward the door.
Two minutes passed after Noah left.
Phew...
Gideon and Evelyn both let out a sigh of relief.
Finally, Noah was gone!
They both still felt a lingering fear as they thought about the cold aura that had radiated from Noah earlier.
"Damn it, damn it!"
Gideon angrily threw his phone against the wall.
"I will remember what happened today! A delivery guy dared to make me kneel down! I’ll make him regret it!"
Evelyn's face also turned grim.
"Don't be angry, Gideon. Noah’s just relying on his physical strength. He’s just a poor guy who has fallen to the point of being a delivery man. He uses force to make people submit!"
"He dared to make me kneel down. I won't let him off easily!"
Evelyn was furious and took out her phone, wanting to complain to Lisa. However, she realized that if Lisa heard about Noah making her kneel, it would be embarrassing.
Instead, Evelyn held her phone to her mouth and sent a voice message.
"Oh, Lisa, I can't believe your husband is delivering food! But his delivery skills are terrible. He wasn’t just late, he also physically assaulted a customer. He’ll definitely lose his wages for that! He might even be sent to the police station for assault! You should keep an eye on him!"
Swoosh.
She sent the voice message.
...
Noah left the Grand Horizon Hotel and drove back to Noah Barbecue Restaurant.
"Thank you so much!"
The delivery guy immediately came forward with gratitude on his face when he saw Noah.
"The order wasn’t late, and the customer also gave us a good review! Thank you so much!"
If the order had received a bad review, the delivery guy would lose his monthly performance bonus, which was worth a significant amount of money.
So, the delivery guy was very grateful to Noah.
"No problem, it was just a small favor." Noah replied, smiling.
