Chapter 317 Return to Nightfall Bar

"Why'd they send 'em back? What happened?" Noah's brow furrowed slightly.

"We figured it out. It was this guy, Zaid, messing with things," Lily's voice was anxious. "He's got a lot of pull in the medical equipment sector in the eastern part of Eagleland. His family runs a financial management center, owns hospitals, and about thirty percent of the medical equipment comes from factories he controls."

"My dad was thinking about working with Zaid before."

"And the hospitals in Oceanbridge City and nearby? They sent the californium radiotherapy devices back 'cause Zaid told 'em to."

"So it was all because of this Zaid, huh?" Noah's gaze turned icy.

Just two weeks ago, Zaid had kidnapped Daniel and Larry. That plan flopped, and now he's ordering the return of all the californium radiotherapy devices.

These devices could make Noah billions every year, but Zaid had the nerve to tell those hospitals to send them back.

Noah's eyes grew colder. He didn't think Zaid alone could make all those hospitals return the devices. There had to be backing from the Harris family, a big name in the eastern part of Eagleland.

"Mr. Anderson, what do we do now? The californium radiotherapy devices just launched, and we haven't even covered the production costs. Now, without any profits, we're looking at a loss of several billion dollars!" Lily was still very anxious.

The devices weren't just about Noah; they were tied to the Benson family's interests too. With these devices, the Benson family had a shot at rising to prominence in the next couple of decades. But now, that path was cut off. How could they not be anxious?

"I'll take care of it," Noah said calmly. "Just keep doing your job."

Hearing this, Lily breathed a sigh of relief. If Noah said he'd handle it, then he definitely would. She had absolute trust in Noah's abilities.

After hanging up, Noah dialed Grace's number. He needed to know how her radiotherapy was going. If her treatment wasn't finished, it would be a big problem.

Soon, Grace answered the phone. She told him her radiotherapy was complete, the cancer cells were gone, and now she just needed to rest and recover.

Relieved by this news, Noah finally relaxed.

"The Murphy family is based in Silverlight City. The Harris family from the eastern part of Eagleland is also in Silverlight City. One tried to kill me, nearly costing me my life. The other cut off my financial lifeline, making me lose billions. Looks like I have no choice but to pay them a proper visit."

Noah set down his phone, a hint of murderous intent in his eyes.

Two days later, at dusk, the sky was painted red by the setting sun, and a cool breeze made the evening pleasant.

Nightfall Bar.

A white GMC slowly pulled up, and a young man stepped out. He was slightly built, looking like a frail scholar, but there was a unique, subtle aura about him. After getting out of the car, he walked into the bar with his hands clasped behind his back.

Inside, the bar was dimly lit. At the counter, a middle-aged man with a mustache and slight wrinkles was meticulously polishing a wine glass with a white cloth. Nearby, a girl with dyed blonde hair was mopping the floor diligently.

Hearing footsteps, the middle-aged man continued polishing the glass without looking up. "We're not open yet. Come back after seven."

There was no response, just silence. The man looked up, a bright smile on his face. "Noah!"

The young man at the door was indeed Noah. The middle-aged man was Bodhi, and the girl mopping the floor was Daisy.

Hearing "Noah," Daisy's eyes lit up. She straightened up, looking over with surprise and joy. "Noah!"

"Noah, how's your injury?" Bodhi set down the glass and walked over immediately, concern evident in his voice. Daisy also approached, her face full of worry.

"Much better. The wound has scabbed over. It won't be long before I'm fully healed," Noah smiled.

Hearing this, both of them breathed a sigh of relief. Knowing Noah was safe and sound put their minds at ease.

Then, as if remembering something, Bodhi's expression turned uneasy. "Noah, how should I address you now? Should I call you Noah or Mr. Anderson? Even Ethan calls you boss, and Ethan is my boss and the current leader of the underworld forces. If I keep calling you Noah, wouldn't that be disrespectful?"

Daisy's expression also changed, feeling anxious.

"Just call me Noah. We're friends; there's no need for formalities." Noah waved his hand dismissively.

"Alright!" Bodhi nodded, not one to be overly formal.

"Noah, then I'll call you by your name too!" Daisy patted Noah's shoulder, her usual carefree self. "You have no idea how shocked we were at The Luca Mansion when Mason and Ethan called you Mr. Anderson and Noah. We were stunned. We never imagined your status was so terrifying that even Mason and Ethan had to show you such respect! You're in a completely different league from us!"

Noah smiled, unsure how to respond. He had anticipated this reaction once his identity was revealed to them.

"After you were attacked, Ethan was even more ruthless. He trapped us all in The Luca Mansion, saying anyone who tried to leave would be killed. He even said if anything happened to you, we'd have to die with you," Daisy continued. "It was brutal! Luckily, you were okay. Three days later, Ethan let us go. Otherwise, if something had happened to you, we might have really had to die with you!"

Noah shook his head helplessly. Ethan had indeed gone too far.

"Daisy, watch your mouth!" Bodhi glared at her. "What do you mean 'if something had happened to you'? Are you cursing Noah?"

Daisy stuck out her tongue and fell silent, realizing her words were inappropriate. She often spoke without thinking.

"Alright, let's not dwell on that. Bodhi, I came to see you for a reason," Noah said.

"What is it?" Bodhi's expression turned serious as he led Noah to a booth.

"I'm planning to go to Silverlight City tomorrow. I want you to come with me," Noah said.

"Me? Why?" Bodhi was puzzled. "Noah, Silverlight City is a major city in Imperial State with complex power dynamics. What are you going there for?"

"Revenge," Noah replied.

"Revenge!" Bodhi's eyes widened. The word was filled with murderous intent, sending a chill down his spine. He had a rough idea of Noah's purpose in going to Imperial State.
