Chapter 425 I Want a Divorce
                    "Thirty percent!"
The table fell silent as Daniel and Sarah stared at Larry in disbelief.
"Silverlight City is a first-tier metropolis—we're talking a trillion-dollar real estate market," Daniel said, his jaw slack. "And Daryl thinks he can just claim thirty percent of it?"
Larry leaned forward, confidence radiating from his face. "Absolutely. Mr. Fields has powerful connections backing him. Snatching up thirty percent of the market is child's play for someone at his level."
He couldn't hide his smugness. "Once he becomes the dominant force in Silverlight City real estate, my position rises with him."
"You're onto something big here, Larry," Daniel nodded approvingly. "Daryl handed you a villa right after hiring you—that shows he's grooming you for something important. This is your shot at the big leagues. Don't waste it."
"You've got this, honey!" Sarah squeezed Larry's arm.
Larry's eyes burned with determination. "I owe this chance to the Rolls-Royce Guy in a way. He may not know me, but I'd be letting him down if I didn't seize this opportunity."
He clenched his fist. "With the right moves, I could be pulling in millions annually. My boss is about to become Silverlight City's real estate kingpin—and as his right-hand man, I'll be right there reaping the rewards."
"Show them what you're made of!" Sarah added. "Leave that loser Noah in the dust. Without Bodhi propping him up, he's absolutely nothing."
At Noah's name, Lisa felt a sharp pang in her chest. "I want a divorce," she said quietly.
The sudden statement froze everyone mid-bite.
"Lisa?" Daniel stared at her, barely containing the gleam of triumph in his eyes. "Say that again?"
"I want a divorce," she repeated, firmer this time.
Sarah practically leapt from her chair. "Finally! You've come to your senses about that deadbeat!"
Her face lit up with vindication. "I knew this day would come. Noah lacks everything a real husband should have—responsibility, ambition, backbone. Divorcing him is the smartest move you could make."
"I completely support this decision," Larry chimed in with a solemn nod. "Noah simply isn't husband material."
Lisa shook her head quickly. "That's not true. Noah is a good husband—he treats me well. He's not useless." She looked down at her hands. "I'm divorcing him because I'm not worthy of him."
"Not worthy?" The three of them echoed in unison, utterly baffled.
Sarah scoffed. "Are you serious? You're a project director making seven figures, while he's just coasting through life with zero skills! How could you possibly be unworthy of him?"
She narrowed her eyes. "Don't tell me you actually believe he's someone important just because he's latched onto Bodhi's coattails."
"It has nothing to do with Bodhi," Lisa insisted, then hesitated. She wanted to reveal Noah's true identity but knew they wouldn't believe her—and Noah might not appreciate her sharing his secret without permission.
Daniel cut through the conversation with a wave of his hand. "Enough about worthiness. Lisa wants a divorce, so we're getting her a divorce. I've put up with that parasite long enough."
His expression turned calculating. "What we need to focus on now is the asset division."
Sarah and Larry straightened up, suddenly all business.
"I might as well tell you," Daniel continued. "The property deed for Summit Retreat Oasis originally had Noah's name on it."
"What?" Larry nearly choked. "That hundred-million-dollar villa belongs to Noah?"
"That's impossible!" Sarah shook her head vigorously. "Where would someone like him get that kind of money?"
In their mind, that villa was simply a gift for him from Lisa's company; they never believed he was worthy of it.
"Are you lying to us?" Larry gritted his teeth. "Noah's nothing but a pathetic loser!"
"Why would I lie about something like this?" Daniel savored their shock. "I had the same reaction when I first saw the deed. Couldn't believe my eyes. But facts are facts—his name was on the paper."
He leaned back with a self-satisfied smile. "I always knew Lisa would eventually come to her senses about Noah, so I made a contingency plan."
"What contingency plan?" Sarah asked curiously.
Daniel's face brightened as he explained, "I had Lisa add her name to the property deed. Summit Retreat Oasis is now legally their joint property."
"Brilliant move, Dad!" Larry slapped the table, eyes gleaming with admiration. "That means in the divorce, Lisa stands to get fifty million dollars!"
"Fifty million..." Sarah whispered, the enormity of the sum sinking in.
A flash of jealousy crossed Sarah's face as she glanced at her sister. One divorce and Lisa would instantly become wealthier than the rest of them combined.
Larry's mind was already racing ahead. "Lisa, I can help you get even more in the settlement," he said, lowering his voice conspiratorially.
"Technically it should be a fifty-fifty split, but we can argue that Noah contributed nothing during your marriage. He freeloaded off our family for a year—if not for us, he'd have been homeless."
He tapped his fingers on the table. "I know a lawyer who specializes in these cases. With the right strategy, we could secure you seventy or even eighty million."
His smile turned calculating. "Of course, since we're family helping family, I'd expect a small consideration—say, ten million of that settlement. What do you think?"
Larry finished with an expectant smile, watching Lisa's reaction like a hawk.
