Chapter 377 Those Who Became Great

Tomas leaned in, "You know, your dad, Larry Anderson, had a ton of buddies back in the day. Real solid guys."

"But two of them got caught and killed by the local tribes when he went to the Desert Continent to hash out a gold mining deal. Even though he was furious, he kept his cool and pushed on with the negotiations."

"You're feeling just like Larry did back then, Mr. Anderson."

Noah's eyes widened. He had no idea Larry had faced such a nightmare.

"Larry built his empire by stepping over the fallen," Tomas continued. "So, what I'm saying, Mr. Anderson, is to keep your head straight and stay focused on your business. Don't let grief mess with you. It'll only drag you down."

"You're Larry's only son. From the get-go, you were meant to shake things up and be something special. That's your destiny, and you can't dodge it. Death's just part of the journey, so don't get too hung up on it."

"Keep my head straight and stay focused on business? So am I supposed to just let North's death slide?" Noah asked.

"Absolutely not. North died so you could have a better shot. He gave his life for you, Mr. Anderson. So, remember his sacrifice and let it drive you," Tomas said. "When Larry found out his friends were killed and eaten by the tribesmen, he didn't rush for revenge. He still closed the deal with the chieftain."

"A year later, once the gold mines were tapped out, Larry hired mercenaries to wipe out the entire tribe."

"And for those who ate his friends, he made sure they got what was coming to them. I won't get into the gory details, but let's just say they watched as tigers tore them apart."

Noah's eyes twitched. He never knew Larry could be so cold-blooded.

"To do big things, you gotta plan well, be patient, and know when to strike back," Tomas wrapped up.

"I get it now," Noah said, a newfound determination in his eyes. "I'll honor North's death."

"I won't rush into revenge. I'll wait for the right moment to hit back."

"I'll make sure the Murphy family pays for what they did to North. I won't drown in guilt or self-pity."

A chill seemed to radiate from Noah.

"Glad you see it that way, Mr. Anderson," Tomas nodded. "North's death won't be for nothing."

"Thanks, Mr. Savage, for steering me right," Noah said, bowing deeply to Tomas.

"Mr. Anderson, please, no need for that!" Tomas quickly moved to steady Noah. "It's my job. I'm honored to help someone like you."

Noah turned to Bodhi. "Bodhi, what's the status on North's body?"

"It's already at the funeral home for cremation," Bodhi replied.

"Good. Once we get his ashes, don't send them home just yet," Noah instructed. "First, send a hundred grand to North's family as compensation. Keep his ashes here for now. I want to use Fox's ashes to accompany North."

As Noah spoke, his eyes were icy, and the air seemed to crackle with a dangerous energy.

"Got it!" Bodhi shivered, nodding quickly.

Noah personally saw Tomas off at the Eyfel Hotel before heading back to his own place.

With Jesse's crew now under his control, Noah had cemented his power in Silverlight City's underworld.

Next on the agenda was to slowly infiltrate the Murphy family's inner circle and find the perfect moment to take them down for good.

As for Fox, Noah had already decided that his ashes would rest alongside North's.

When Noah got back to the hotel, Luna greeted him with a bright smile. "Hey, Noah! Tomorrow, after Clementine's off work, we're planning an outdoor livestream. Wanna join?"

"What's the livestream about?" Noah asked, intrigued.

"Oh, you know, just the usual—eating, shopping. What else do girls do on an outdoor livestream?" Luna laughed.

"Sounds fun," Noah said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

Seeing Luna made Noah think of his wife, Lisa, and he felt a wave of longing.

He thought to himself, 'I need to bring Lisa here. She's got so much on her plate in Oceanbridge City, and I don't want her burning out.'

Back in his room, Noah called Samuel at Noah Asset Management. "Give Lisa a few days off."

"Of course, Mr. Anderson. I'll let Mrs. Anderson know first thing tomorrow," Samuel replied.

'Once she's on leave, have her come to Silverlight City,' Noah mused, planning to check out the Harris Group's factory the next day. He wanted to get a feel for the workers' conditions and find any chinks in the Harris family's armor.

The next morning, Noah and Clementine headed to the fourth floor of Silverline Square.

Noah had skipped work the day before to handle the Jesse situation.

When he got to his office, he found breakfast waiting on his desk.

"Noah, why didn't you come in yesterday?" Audrey asked, her cheeks flushed as she approached him. "It felt so empty without you here! I brought you breakfast today. Please, enjoy it!"

Audrey was dressed in a white dress with nude stockings, striking a balance between sexy and sweet, her long hair cascading down her back.

"Look at her, trying to charm Mr. Anderson again!" one of the female teachers nearby muttered, rolling her eyes. "And empty? Yeah, she sure needs something to fill her!"

"Thanks, Ms. Carroll, but I've already had breakfast," Noah said with a polite smile.

Audrey's face fell. Did that mean Noah wasn't interested in her?

"Alright," Audrey said, trying to play it cool. "How about dinner tonight? My treat at the Eyfel Hotel. You can order whatever you want, unlike Kurt who always limits the menu."

Kurt's face turned green with envy. He hadn't expected Audrey to pull out all the stops to win Noah over, even offering a fancy dinner at the Eyfel Hotel.

"No need," Noah said, turning her down flat. He knew Audrey had a crush on him, so he decided to be upfront. "Ms. Carroll, I should let you know that I'm married, and I love my wife very much. So, I think it's best if we keep things professional."
