Chapter 370 Another Medal

"Mr. Roberts, it's my duty as a citizen," Noah said with a smile. "Drug trafficking is a crime against humanity. When I see it, I can't just stand by and do nothing."

Austin nodded, increasingly impressed with Noah. "In today's society, there aren't many young people like you who are so enthusiastic. Most people are indifferent and only care about their own business."

"If there were more people like you, our country would be much more peaceful and stable."

"I'm curious, how much drugs did that Rooster guy have?" Noah asked.

"Just on his desk, there were 55 pounds," Austin replied, not keeping it a secret. "And we found another 800 pounds hidden in a storage room at the skating rink, thanks to the drug-sniffing dogs."

"800 pounds! That's a lot!" Noah was shocked.

"Yes," Austin said with a sigh. "This batch of drugs is worth billions of dollars. If it hit the streets, who knows how many families would be destroyed."

"Through interrogation, we found out that Rooster was selling drugs in many nightclubs and karaoke bars in Silverlight City. He had over four hundred customers."

"He's just a small player. His supply comes from an international organization. We still haven't figured out who his contact is in Eagleland."

"These drug dealers operate in a very secretive manner. Each person only knows their direct contact. Once a link is broken, it's extremely difficult to trace it back up the chain. But seizing these 800 pounds of drugs has undoubtedly saved countless lives and families."

Noah nodded, sharing the same deep hatred for drugs.

"By the way, Mr. Anderson, we looked into your record and found that you helped the police in Oceanbridge City break up a loan shark gang led by Luke. You even received a Good Citizen Award for it," Austin said with a slight smile. "The Oceanbridge City police protected your privacy and safety by blurring your face and using the name 'Rolls-Royce Guy' when they announced it."

"Yes," Noah said, not surprised that Austin had found this out.

"I watch short videos too, and I've heard of 'Rolls-Royce Guy.' You've brought a lot of positive energy to society. We need influencers like you in Silverlight City as well," Austin said with a smile. "That's what a real influencer is."

"How about this: we want to give you a Good Citizen Award too, just like in Oceanbridge City. Of course, to protect your safety, we'll use the name 'Rolls-Royce Guy.'"

"After all, this drug bust is a big deal. Announcing it will have a significant impact on society. If people see this news and know we're working hard to maintain social stability, they'll feel safer and trust the government and police more. So, it's very meaningful."

Austin's expression turned serious. "But you should know, drug dealers' revenge can be much more brutal than that of other criminal organizations. They might target your family and friends, and it's usually deadly. So, you can refuse this award."

"Of course, we'll do our best to ensure your safety if you accept it. What do you choose?"

Noah thought for a moment before saying, "Let's announce it under the name 'Rolls-Royce Guy.'"

"Great!" Austin was visibly relieved. He had been worried that Noah might be too scared to accept, which would have been awkward. Society needs role models like Noah and the positive energy they bring.

"Let's shoot a video now. The Galaxy District police will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce the news," Austin said immediately.

"Okay," Noah agreed.

The process was straightforward. Austin presented Noah with the Good Citizen Award and recorded a video for the announcement. Throughout the video, Noah's face was blurred.

By the time everything was done, it was already eleven at night. Silverlight City was bustling with traffic and noise, and a cold wind blew gently.

Noah held a round, gold medal in his hand. It felt cold to the touch and had "Silverlight City Good Citizen Award" engraved on it. He put the medal in his pocket and prepared to drive home.

East and his three friends had been waiting for a long time. When they saw Noah, they rushed over to ask, "Noah, did the police give you any trouble?"

"No trouble at all," Noah said with a smile. "I was doing a good deed. How about you guys?"

"We're fine too. After the interrogation, they let us go and even praised us," East said with a grin.

"Good, let's head back," Noah said, walking towards the exit.

A GMC was parked at the police station entrance.

"Excuse me, sir!" A voice called out.

Noah turned to see a middle-aged man running towards him. The man was wearing a suit and thick glasses, looking very much like an intellectual.

Noah recognized him as Terry, who had been in Room Two earlier.

"Sir, my name is Terry," Terry said, glancing nervously at the four big men behind Noah but still managing a smile. "I want to thank you. If it weren't for you, I don't know what I would have done with my son. He might have been tormented by drugs for the rest of his life. You saved his life!"

His words were filled with genuine gratitude.

Noah frowned slightly. "I heard Rooster say you're a journalist. You should know a lot about drugs. Why didn't you call the police when you found out your son was using? Why let him continue?"

"I was blinded by fear," Terry sighed. "When I found out my son was using drugs, I wanted to call the police, but Rooster threatened to kill my whole family if I did. He has over a hundred men, all ruthless. I was afraid he'd really kill us."

"And when my son's addiction kicked in, he was like a madman, shaking and in terrible pain. I couldn't bear it, so I kept giving money to Rooster to buy drugs for him."

"In just a few months, all our savings were gone. If it weren't for you, I really don't know what I would have done."

Noah shook his head slightly. Terry might be an intellectual, but he was also incredibly naive.

"What about your son?" Noah asked.

"The police have sent him to a rehab center, and they gave me a stern lecture," Terry said, looking ashamed.

"Sir, I can't thank you enough for what you've done for my family. If you ever need anything, I'll do whatever it takes to help," Terry added.

"I don't need anything from you," Noah said coolly, ready to leave. Terry seemed too naive and useless.

But then Noah paused, as if he had thought of something, and turned back. "I heard Rooster say you're the editor-in-chief of the Silverlight City Daily?"
