Chapter 51 Roll as Far as You Can
"Yes, alright!" Logan nodded repeatedly, instructing his subordinates, "Did you hear that? Clean this up thoroughly! Don’t leave a single trace of blood!"
"Understood!"
The subordinates immediately got to work.
"What..." Megan froze in his wheelchair. She had asked Logan to come and help, but in the end, he was obeying Noah.
"Logan, you..." Megan hesitated for a moment.
"What should we do with them, Noah?" Logan said firmly, "I’ll say it again, I have nothing to do with them."
"They should roll away as far as they can," Noah said indifferently.
"Did you hear that? Noah said roll away as far as you can!" Logan stared.
Even Megan and his wife, despite their stupidity, realized that Noah was not a simple man. If Logan was treating him with respect and didn’t dare provoke him, could he be on the same level as Liam?
Megan's eyelids twitched as he thought about it.
"Let's go!"
He knew that he couldn’t stay here any longer. They would just have to forget it.
"But what about my Lucy..." The woman looked at the pile of ashes on the ground.
"You stay here with your Lucy then!" Megan snorted coldly, stood up from the wheelchair, and jumped down the stairs.
"Husband..." The woman called out and followed after him.
An hour later, Noah's front door was finally spotlessly clean. Logan even went downstairs to buy disinfectant and thoroughly disinfected everything.
"Is this okay, Noah?" Logan asked softly with a coquettish smile.
Noah nodded. "Come in."
Logan was taken aback, wondering why Noah wanted him to come inside.
Although he was somewhat unwilling to do so, he thought about Noah's terrifying skills. Even if he wanted to run, he wouldn't be able to escape. So he mustered up the courage and entered the house.
"Ouch, that hurt." Ethan was lying on the sofa, holding an ice pack on his eye.
"Tell me, what's the situation in the slums?" Noah asked.
"Huh?" Logan was stunned once again.
"What do you mean 'huh'?" Ethan snapped coldly. "Noah asked you a question, answer him quickly!"
Logan trembled in fear. "The slums are in chaos now. Liam’s been hospitalized, and there are rumors that he offended some powerful figure and his position may not be guaranteed in the future."
Logan glanced at Noah, and when he saw that he had no expression, he continued.
Liam had been hospitalized and many people wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to take his place, but the likelihood of that seemed slim. After all, Liam had connections in the poverty-stricken area that could not be easily replaced, unless Liam personally named someone to take his position.
"The government is planning to renovate the poverty-stricken area, which has great potential for profit. Many people are itching to get their hands on it!"
Noah nodded, understanding the situation.
"Ethan, go to Building 1 in Wealth Square and find a person named Samuel. Tell him that I recommended you and ask him to assign you the task of resettling and compensating the residents in the poverty-stricken area."
"What?" Ethan was taken aback, feeling a bit lost.
Noah wanted him to handle the resettlement and compensation work in the poverty-stricken area? Could Noah be in charge of the renovation project in the poverty-stricken area?
"Noah, I know you’re an important man." Ethan hesitated, rubbing his hands. "But the renovation of the poverty-stricken area is a multi-billion-dollar project. Even just a small part of the resettlement and compensation is worth billions. Are you sure you want me to do it? And I’m sure if you can decide that."
Ethan was tactful, but his meaning was clear. Who was Noah to order him to do this? Would the other party even agree to let him do that?
"Just do as I say." Noah smiled. "But remember what you said earlier – handle the resettlement and compensation well, and avoid any bloodshed."
"Alright, I’ll definitely remember that." Ethan nodded helplessly, getting ready to go to Wealth Square later.
Even if he was rejected, he wouldn't lose anything.
"From today onward, you'll follow Ethan," Noah looked at Logan. "From now on, Ethan will be in charge of the poverty-stricken area, not Liam."
Both Logan and Ethan were stunned when they heard that.
Could it be that Liam was going to be replaced?
Logan's eyelid twitched, but then he shook his head. It was unlikely. Liam had been operating in the poverty-stricken area for many years, and he couldn’t be replaced so easily .
And even though Noah was Mason's savior, would Mason listen to him in matters regarding personnel changes?
Ethan also had his doubts. Liam had made a name for himself in the poverty-stricken area from a young age. He had been the undisputed ruler of the area for over a decade. He couldn't be replaced just because Noah casually mentioned it.
It was obvious that Noah was pretending to be important when he said that.
"Okay, Noah, I understand." Ethan smiled and cooperated with Noah. He didn’t expose him. He would simply treat it as if he hadn't heard anything.
Noah didn't say much more. He wanted Ethan to take Liam's place because he felt that it was about time to cultivate some of his own people.
Although Mason, Samuel, and John were powerful in the business and street world, they ultimately owed their success to his father Larry's support.
On the other hand, Noah wanted to cultivate individuals who were loyal to him to him to facilitate his actions.
In the afternoon, Ethan, who had just left Noah's house, arrived at Building No. 1 of Fortune Plaza.
Ethan felt a bit nervous as he looked at the luxury cars parked at the entrance of the building and the people going in and out, all dressed in suits.
'Can I trust what Noah said? Is he just trying to deceive me?
'Forget it, even if I am rejected, I won't lose anything. At most, people will just laugh at me!'
Gritting his teeth, he walked toward the reception desk and said, "Hello, I'm looking for Samuel."
The receptionist glanced at Ethan. A hint of contempt flashed in her eyes and she smiled. "Do you have an appointment with Samuel, Sir?"
"Um... no." Ethan shook his head.
"I'm sorry, Sir. Without an appointment, we cannot let you see the CEO," the receptionist said with a smile.
'Noah was just bragging!'
Ethan had already anticipated this, so he shook his head helplessly, but still tentatively said, "Well, Noah told me to come see Samuel."
"Noah?"
The receptionist's gaze flickered, and she picked up the phone and dialed a number.
"Ok, alright, Sir. I'll bring him up to see you!"
The receptionist hung up and smiled, "Please follow me, Sir. The CEO is waiting for you in the VIP lounge."
Ethan was suddenly dumbfounded and followed the receptionist to the elevator.
Half an hour later, Ethan walked out of the building, his heart pounding with excitement.
Noah Capital had assigned him the task of resettling and compensating the residents in the slums!
Samuel had promised to transfer one billion dollars in compensation funds to his account within three days and even signed a contract!
Most of the one billion dollars would be used to compensate the slum residents, and if it was not enough, more would be transferred!
Rich people were truly different!
Ethan yearned for that lifestyle as he thought about Samuel's designer clothes and watch that he could barely recognize.
Those were the people at the very top of society!
Ethan suddenly thought of Noah.
