Chapter 261 The Group Chat
"What?" Danielle was floored. "The Anthony family is sponsoring the show?"
The 'I Am a Super Rich' show was a goldmine. The return on investment was at least threefold.
Loads of families, companies, and conglomerates in Oceanbridge City were dying to invest in this show, and the competition was cutthroat. Even the Edward family couldn't snag a spot.
To become a sponsor of 'I Am a Super Rich,' money alone wouldn't cut it; connections were required.
Word on the street was that the main sponsor of this show was Facebook Live.
This company was super mysterious, especially its owner, who was rumored to be filthy rich.
In less than a month, they had lured top streamers away from other major platforms. Danielle knew the Edward family couldn't compete with that kind of financial muscle.
So, not just in the streaming world, but across various industries, any savvy businessperson was secretly keeping tabs on the Facebook Live owner, curious about him.
As the main sponsor of 'I Am a Super Rich,' they had major sway over investment decisions.
To invest in the show, Facebook Live's green light was needed.
"That's right." Zack said proudly, "The Anthony family dropped fifty million dollars on the 'I Am a Super Rich' show! We got this share because my uncle knows some big shots at Facebook Live."
"Congrats!" Danielle said, clearly envious.
Investing fifty million dollars, the Anthony family could expect at least a hundred million dollars in returns once the show airs.
"But that's not the main point. The main point is, Noah was picked by the 'I Am a Super Rich' show and given ten million dollars!" Zack pointed at Noah and shouted.
"What?" Anna and the others were stunned.
"His GMC Business Star was bought with the money. Yesterday at Royal Garden, he was decked out in Armani, also bought with the show's money!" Zack continued.
"Not only that, the first thing he did after getting the million dollars was to shower a female streamer with sixty thousand dollars in gifts!" Zack's voice grew louder.
"Noah is basically a nobody, just an average Joe, a bottom-tier guy! He just got ten million dollars from the 'I Am a Super Rich' show!"
"That amount of money might seem like a lot, but to our four major families, it's peanuts!"
The room fell silent, hanging on Zack's every word.
Danielle and the others were stunned.
"But Noah acts like he's loaded, bragging to Riley that he's from Riverton! Noah, look at yourself, what makes you think you can claim to be from the capital?" Zack continued.
"You're a total fraud! You lied to Anna, saying you're not a delivery guy, which is laughable! Gideon saw you delivering food to his hotel, and you still deny it!"
"Proof! Zack, you need proof to back up your claims!" Anna interrupted.
"Proof? Fine, I'll show you proof! I'll prove to everyone that Noah is a fraud, a loser, a delivery guy!"
Zack pulled out his phone and opened Facebook, showing a group chat named 'I Am a Super Rich Sponsors,' with over forty members.
"This group includes sponsors of the 'I Am a Super Rich' show and journalists responsible for selecting and following ordinary people," Zack explained.
"These journalists compile daily reports on the people they follow and upload them to the group for the sponsors to check on."
Zack opened the group details, showing a list of avatars. The first avatar was a shark swimming in the waves.
"The group owner is a higher-up at Facebook Live, the chief sponsor." Zack pointed at the shark avatar.
Danielle was envious. Being in this group meant the Anthony family had significant influence.
Noah recognized the avatar; it belonged to the finance manager at Shark Company. He smiled knowingly, not surprised because the finance manager was the main person in charge of the show.
Zack opened the group files, showing many documents with similar naming formats.
[Larry—Sofia.]
[Noah—Ally.]
[Noah!]
Danielle and the others focused on the file named Noah!
"It must be a coincidence. Noah can't be a fraud!" Anna said nervously, unable to believe Noah was a fraud.
"Noah, I'll give you one last chance. Answer me, is the money for the GMC Business Star yours or from the show?"
"And the Armani suit, did you buy it with your own money?" Zack looked at Noah and sneered.
"I advise you to tell the truth, or I'll expose your lies in front of everyone! You'll be utterly humiliated!"
"The car and the suit were bought with my own money," Noah said calmly, telling the truth.
"Hahaha! The evidence is right here, and you still deny it!" Zack laughed loudly. "Fine, I'll expose your final disguise!"
He opened the file.
Danielle and the others leaned in to look.
The file contained photos of Noah, such as him bravely defeating a thief and retrieving a stolen bag, and him wearing an Armani suit at Royal Garden, all taken by Ally.
Below were several paragraphs of text.
[Ordinary person Noah, after receiving the money, the first thing he did was to give sixty thousand dollars in gifts to his favorite female streamer.]
[Noah tried to enter high society. After many difficulties, he finally got an invitation to a high society event.]
[He also bought an Armani suit, estimated to cost around twenty thousand dollars.]
[Noah received ten million dollars and secretly bought a car without informing the show, likely considering the money his own.]
Seeing the text, Anna was dumbfounded, standing still.
"Noah, I have a few questions for you," Zack said to Noah.
"First, did you participate in the 'I Am a Super Rich' show?"
"I did," Noah said calmly.
"Second, is Ally the journalist who followed you?" Zack asked.
"Yes!" Noah nodded.
"Good, my questions are over," Zack said seriously.
"Danielle, Riley, the evidence is right here. Do you still think Noah isn't a fraud? Do you still think he bought the GMC Business Star himself?"
