Chapter 245: The Head of the Family
Following that, George and Jasmine went to the courtyard and found a hose to wash the car for Noah.
"That Noah, how dare he hit George! When I get back, I'll spread this matter to all our relatives!" George muttered angrily as he washed the car.
"I'll make sure you become infamous among our relatives, you useless piece of garbage!"
"What? Still talking so much when I just asked you to wash the car?" Noah's voice rang out calmly.
George trembled in fear and quickly shut up. He didn't expect this kid to have such sharp ears that he could hear what he said from such a distance.
At the same time, Lisa and Chloe helped Daniel, who had passed out, into the room.
"Dad, hang in there! I'll call an ambulance right away!" Lisa's face was filled with worry as she took out her phone to dial emergency services.
"No need to call an ambulance," a voice suddenly came from Daniel as he opened his eyes leisurely.
"Dad?"
Lisa was taken aback. She didn't expect Daniel to wake up on his own.
What was even more surprising was that his eyes were clear, and he seemed energetic, not at all like someone who had passed out from anger.
"Dad, you didn't lose consciousness?" Lisa asked cautiously.
"No, I pretended to be unconscious," Daniel shook his head and admitted calmly.
"Oh, why?" Lisa was quite puzzled.
"Why?" Daniel shook his head helplessly. "If I didn't pretend to be unconscious, should I just watch that good-for-nothing Noah disrespect our relatives? If that gets out, where will I put my face?"
"In order to save face, I had no choice but to pretend to be unconscious. I'll pretend I know nothing about what happens next. If it gets out, the responsibility will all be on that good-for-nothing's shoulders, not mine or Daniel's! I won't be embarrassed."
"Dad, is face really that important?"
Lisa was speechless. She didn't expect Daniel to pretend to be unconscious just for the sake of face and cause her unnecessary worry.
"Of course, a person needs face just like a tree needs bark. Can you say face isn't important?" Daniel raised his eyebrows and continued,
"I can't control that good-for-nothing anymore. He's gotten cocky and doesn't even regard me anymore. He even said he'll kick me out! Completely disrespectful! What's more, he's making me lose face in front of our relatives!"
"Dad, Noah isn't a good-for-nothing." Lisa's face turned cold.
"If he's not a good-for-nothing, then what is he? Even if he has money to buy this mansion, how much does he have now?" Daniel said,
"What's more important is that he doesn't understand basic respect for elders and care for the younger ones! George is his George, his elder! Jasmine is his sister, and yet he treats them like this!"
Lisa sighed. She knew it would be difficult to change her father's opinion of Noah.
"What's the situation outside now?" Daniel asked.
"Husband asked them to wash the car," Lisa replied.
"Wash the car! Oh my god! This infuriates me! Letting George wash the car, if this gets out, my Daniel's reputation will be ruined! Noah has no shame, but I do!"
Daniel was trembling with anger, but he knew that even if he went outside to talk and try to stop them, it would be useless. Noah wouldn't listen to him at all.
"Never mind, at this point, I'll just continue pretending to be unconscious! It's better to act like I know nothing about this! Going out now would only cause more trouble."
Saying that, Daniel closed his eyes and remained motionless.
Lisa was speechless once again.
...
Thirty minutes later, George and Jasmine washed Noah's car inside and out until it was spotless, as good as new.
"Noah, is the car clean enough now?" George put down the water hose and cautiously asked.
Right now, he was genuinely afraid of Noah.
This kid dared to even hit his elders, what other things could he not do?
Meanwhile, Jasmine rolled her eyes. Hmph, it's just a beat-up van, why take such great care of it? If someone didn't know, they would think it's a million-dollar luxury car!
Of course, she only dared to think about it in her heart and never dared to say it out loud.
"Noah glanced at his car and said, 'It's clean enough. Now, you two can get lost.'"
"Get lost?"
Both of them were stunned.
"Where do we go?"
"Noah, you're not trying to kick us out, are you!"
They both said in succession, their faces unpleasant.
"You have amnesia, didn't I just say that I want to kick you two out? How could you forget so quickly?" Noah frowned slightly, "Are you two still thinking about living in my house?"
"Noah, you're so heartless! Kicking us out in the middle of the night, where are we supposed to go?" Jasmine angrily looked at Noah.
"That's your problem." Noah said indifferently.
"Damn it! Damn it! Noah, you want us to leave, do you really think you're in charge? Daniel! Daniel!"
George yelled and rushed into the villa.
"It's over, George is here! Lisa, help me stall him, say that he can't wake up and that we've already called an ambulance!"
Hearing George's voice, Daniel's expression changed and he closed his eyes tightly.
He felt bitter in his heart, he definitely couldn't handle this matter, he could only pretend to be unconscious, and bluff his way through.
Creak!
The door was pushed open, and George walked in. When he saw Daniel on the bed, he immediately shook him forcefully.
"Daniel! Wake up! Wake up! That useless son-in-law of yours wants to kick me and Jasmine out! Where are we supposed to go in the middle of the night? Wake up! Take care of this!"
No matter how George shook him, Daniel remained motionless, like a dead person.
"George, stop shaking him. My dad fainted and we've already called an ambulance. If you continue shaking him, what if something happens to my dad?" Lisa said coldly, she didn't have a good impression of George either.
"It's over, Daniel won't wake up. Does that mean Jasmine and I will really be kicked out by that useless person?" George regretfully took two steps back, his face turning pale.
At this moment, Noah also entered the room, he glanced at Daniel and was slightly taken aback, then a sly smile appeared on his lips.
"It's really a matter of the monkey being the king in the absence of the tiger!"
George sighed, "Daniel, why did you have to be unconscious at this time? As the head of the family, we and Jasmine can only be bullied by this useless person!"
"Heh, regardless of whether Daniel is conscious or not, as long as it's something that happens in this villa, I have the final say. The head of the family is me, Noah, not Daniel."
Noah crossed his arms and let out a cold laugh.
Upon hearing this, Daniel's breath on the bed became barely noticeable, his face turning red, and his fingers tightly gripping the bed sheets, as if enduring great anger.
"Hmph, if it weren't for Daniel's unconsciousness, would you dare say that?" George sneered coldly.
