Chapter 364 Silverlight City Convention Center

Audrey wore a sleek black business suit, her legs in nude stockings. Her long hair flowed gracefully, and her black-rimmed glasses added a touch of intellectual charm.

"Mr. Anderson, you should eat quickly. It won't taste as good if it gets cold," Audrey said softly, pushing her glasses up her nose, a blush spreading across her cheeks.

Kurt, standing nearby, clenched his fists in anger, jealousy burning in his eyes. Audrey had never brought him breakfast before.

Despite his jealousy, Kurt had become more cautious and didn't dare to cause Noah any trouble.

Firstly, Noah's guitar skills were top-notch, while Kurt's were just decent. Secondly, Noah's financial background was impressive; he drove a GMC worth over a million dollars and had connections with influential people like Finnegan, the owner of the fourth floor. Such a person was not someone Kurt could afford to offend.

Other female teachers noticed Audrey bringing breakfast to Noah, their expressions changing subtly.

"Audrey is so sneaky, bringing Mr. Anderson breakfast!"

"She's trying to get on his good side!"

"What a schemer, trying to win over Mr. Anderson like that!"

"Do you think Mr. Anderson will fall for her?"

"No way, I can't let Audrey get ahead. I'll bring Mr. Anderson breakfast tomorrow too!"

Noah hadn't expected Audrey to bring him breakfast. "Thanks," he said. He hadn't eaten yet, and he wasn't one to waste food, so he sat down and started eating.

"How much is it? I'll pay you back," Noah added, not wanting Audrey to get the wrong idea.

"It's nothing!" Audrey waved her hand quickly, her heart soaring as she returned to her desk. Her heart raced like a young girl in love. Did it mean Noah like her?

After finishing breakfast, Noah sent ten dollars to Audrey, but she didn't accept it. Noah didn't press the issue and prepared to go to class.

Suddenly, his phone rang with a call from his wife, Lisa. "Have you eaten? How are things in Silverlight City these past few days?" Her message was full of concern.

Noah felt a warmth in his heart and a pang of guilt. He had been so busy that he hadn't contacted Lisa. "Everything's going well. How's your work going?" Noah asked.

"Everything's good here too. The foundation work for the new housing project in the poor district has started. Things are looking up," Lisa replied, adding a cute emoji.

"That's great!" Noah's mood lifted.

"By the way, there's some news. Larry and Luna might be coming to Silverlight City," Lisa said.

"What are they coming for?" Noah frowned. He had no fondness for Larry, but he had a good impression of his sister-in-law, Luna.

"Larry's business in Oceanbridge City isn't doing well, so he's looking to expand in Silverlight City. He knows a few people there. As for Luna, she just wants to visit and do some sightseeing," Lisa explained. "But Luna doesn't like staying with Larry's family, so she hopes you can pick her up and let her stay with you."

"Sure, tell Luna to get off at the Silverlight City toll station, and I'll pick her up," Noah agreed.

"Great, I think they'll arrive around four or five this afternoon," Lisa said.

"Got it."

After chatting with Lisa for a bit longer, Noah noticed it was almost time for class. He said goodbye and headed to the classroom.

Two hours later, after class, Noah received another message. [Noah, the Harris family has confirmed the contract signing for the transfer. It's scheduled for 1 PM at the Silverlight City Convention Center. Reporters from major newspapers are already gathering there,] Bodhi informed him.

[Okay, I'm on my way,] Noah replied.

The Silverlight City Convention Center, located in the Gold Valley District, was a massive venue used for various commercial events, cultural performances, and book signings.

By the time Noah arrived around 12:50 PM, the entrance was swarming with reporters from the Silverlight City Daily, the Eastern Eagleland Evening News, and Silverlight City TV. They held microphones and cameras, press badges hanging around their necks, their expressions eager.

In front of them was a stage with a long table set with bottled water and microphones. Behind the table were eight wooden chairs, and a large banner above read, [Harris Group Equity Transfer Signing Ceremony.]

Nathaniel was already seated, waiting, with a thick stack of contracts in front of him. Beside him sat Hawk, and further along were key members of the Harris Group, all dressed in sharp suits, clearly people of high social standing.

Around 12:50 PM, Noah met up with Bodhi, and they were escorted to the stage.

"Mr. Cooper!" Nathaniel stood up to greet Bodhi with a handshake before they both took their seats.

As the time approached, the host announced the start of the event.

Reporters snapped photos from every angle. The first step of the ceremony was not the signing but answering questions from the reporters to facilitate news coverage.

"Mr. Harris, I'm a reporter from the Silverlight City Daily. I understand that 45% of the equity is being transferred. How will this decision impact Silverlight City's industrial production?" a female reporter with glasses asked.

"In a word, profoundly," Nathaniel smiled, comfortable in such settings. "Firstly, it will alleviate the financial pressure on the Harris Group to purchase environmental equipment, allowing us to acquire and use it quickly. This will enable Silverlight City's industry to develop smoothly without significant setbacks."

"Secondly, transferring 45% of the equity to Mr. Cooper ensures that our factories will not face issues like corruption or mismanagement in the future. With Mr. Cooper holding a significant stake, he will naturally have substantial oversight."

"Thirdly, the new environmental equipment will create 300,000 jobs, addressing a large portion of unemployment."

"Lastly, the arrival of this equipment will reduce industrial pollution in Silverlight City by 30%."

The reporters chimed in enthusiastically.

"This is fantastic news!"

"The Harris family is truly benefiting the people of Silverlight City!"

"Providing jobs and protecting the environment, wonderful!"

"Hello, I'm a reporter from Silverlight City TV. I heard that Mr. Cooper invested nine billion dollars in this equity transfer. That's quite a substantial amount! Could you tell us why Mr. Cooper decided to make this investment?" a male reporter asked, looking at Bodhi.

"First, let me say that nine billion dollars is not that large of an amount," Bodhi began.
