Chapter 279 Number One in Ratings!
"That's awesome!" Noah grinned. "I Am a Super Rich" had shot to the top of the trending news, with Facebook Live as the main sponsor, naturally boosting its popularity even more.
"Our Facebook Live app's daily downloads jumped by ten million just last night! That's three times the usual number," Nathan said.
"From here on out, the viewership for 'I Am a Super Rich' will keep climbing, and Facebook Live's recognition will grow. By then, the number of users downloading our app will skyrocket."
"Mr. Anderson, getting listed on NASDAQ within a year is definitely doable."
"I know," Noah replied calmly.
"By the way, Mr. Anderson, there's something else that might affect your reputation," Nathan added.
"The second trending topic on Twitter is about you, the son-in-law from 'I Am a Super Rich.'"
"The discussions under that topic are mostly about you, and a lot of them are negative. They're talking about your personality, your prank memes, and some people are even trying to dig up your personal information."
"That doesn't matter."
Noah smiled, completely unfazed.
"What you need to do now is, first, keep managing 'I Am a Super Rich.' Second, make sure Facebook Live runs smoothly. With so many users flooding in, the service has to be top-notch."
"Got it, Mr. Anderson!"
"Good."
After chatting for a bit, Noah hung up the phone.
The negative comments were insignificant to Noah; he didn't care at all.
What made Noah happy was that Facebook Live could rapidly grow thanks to the show "I Am a Super Rich."
And with such high ratings from the first episode, the sponsorship revenue from the show could potentially exceed three billion dollars.
This was great news.
"Noah, Noah! You useless bum, get out here!"
Just as Noah was basking in his joy, a voice suddenly called out from downstairs.
It was Daniel.
Noah went downstairs and saw three people standing in the living room.
Daniel, Larry, and Sarah.
Larry's face was glowing with pride and joy.
After the first episode of "I Am a Super Rich" aired last night, he had immediately opened a Twitter account and got it verified.
In just one night, he had gained a million followers. Many fans sent him private messages, praising him for his boldness in challenging Noah.
They also admired his character.
Among them were quite a few young, attractive women who expressed their admiration and affection for him, making Larry feel as if he were on cloud nine.
The key point was that he had received a message from the show's director last night.
The first episode of "I Am a Super Rich" had great ratings, and the production team decided to capitalize on fan engagement by promoting Larry.
In other words, the show wanted to turn Larry into a star!
'A star! Someone who gets recognized on the street and asked for autographs! Someone who earns millions of dollars a year!'
The more Larry thought about it, the more excited he became. He hadn't slept a wink last night because he was too thrilled.
He had also shared the news with Daniel and Sarah.
They were equally excited, especially Daniel, who was over the moon.
Having a son-in-law who was a big star would give him immense pride in front of his relatives.
Today, the three of them had come to see Noah to discuss something important.
"Noah, you watched the first episode of 'I Am a Super Rich' last night, right?" Daniel said smugly, sitting on the couch with his legs crossed as he watched Noah come downstairs.
"Yeah, I did," Noah replied calmly. "What's up?"
"Then you must know how popular the show was last night," Sarah sneered.
"Last night, 'I Am a Super Rich' had the highest ratings in the country for its time slot. And today, it shot to the top of Twitter's trending topics. The key point is, the main star of last night's episode was Larry. You know that, right?"
Sarah was getting more and more irritated by Noah's calm demeanor.
This guy was so good at pretending to be unbothered.
Was he really not shocked or jealous of Larry's success on the show?
He was probably stunned inside but was putting on a calm facade to save face.
"I know," Noah said, still calm, with his hands behind his back as he looked at the three of them. "And then?"
"And then? You still ask 'and then'?" Sarah's eyes widened.
"Do you know that my Larry is now a household name in Eagleland? The showrunners of 'I Am a Super Rich' said they want to turn Larry into a star, someone with millions of fans!"
"And you, Noah, are being criticized by everyone in Eagleland! Twitter, forums, all social media are filled with discussions about you. People are calling you arrogant, stingy, and disrespectful!"
Larry stood there with a smug smile, watching Noah with a mocking gaze.
"You three came here just to tell me this nonsense?" Noah rolled his eyes.
"Nonsense? This is not nonsense." Daniel chuckled. "Noah, let's be clear. If you step outside now, I guarantee people will recognize you and mock you. Your reputation is ruined across Eagleland."
"But no matter what, you are still my son-in-law. I know you don't care about your reputation, but your disgrace also brings shame to our family. We're here to help you clean up your image."
"Really? How do you plan to do that?"
Noah was slightly intrigued.
"Right now, you need to kneel and apologize to me. You've been very disrespectful to me, making me kneel in public and threatening to kick me out. You even made me so angry that I ended up in the hospital. I remember all of that."
Daniel rubbed his chin and laughed.
"You just need to kneel and apologize. Larry will record it and send it to Sofia, and it will be aired in the next episode of 'I Am a Super Rich.'"
"That way, your image of being disrespectful and rude will be cleared."
"Of course, you also need to kneel and apologize to George. After all, George is your uncle. Hitting him was a grave offense."
Daniel was very pleased with himself.
"Oh, and the golden bull and dragon statues. After you kneel and apologize, you need to send them to me immediately!" Daniel added.
