Chapter 292 Happy Week
"A joint invitation?" Wren's expression turned serious. "Are you sure they want me and that Noah to discuss matters?"
"Yes!" The secretary nodded. "All three families mentioned it in their calls."
"Noah..." Wren's face grew even more solemn.
In Oceanbridge City, three of the four major families had issued a joint invitation for her, the head of the Winchester family, and Noah to discuss something. This Noah must be someone significant.
'Could he really be from the Anderson Group?' Wren's thoughts raced.
'Only the Anderson Group would have the clout to get three major families to work together for them.'
'If Noah is from the Anderson Group, he's definitely not just a delivery guy. He might be an employee of the Anderson Group! We can't afford to offend him!'
"Mrs. Winchester, should we accept the invitation?" the secretary asked.
"Tell the three families to set a time and place. I'll be there. And don't mention this to Gideon. I don't want him doing anything rash," Wren instructed.
"Understood, Mrs. Winchester."
The secretary left.
Wren gazed out the window, worry etched on her face.
She had to go, because she was almost certain Noah was from the Anderson Group, not a delivery guy.
But her son Gideon had a grudge against Noah. If Noah decided to take advantage of the situation, it could be troublesome.
'Let's hope Noah doesn't hold a grudge,' Wren thought. 'If he does, Gideon will have to apologize.'
---
Happy Week.
This was a large, bustling café in Oceanbridge City, known for its top-tier piano performances, imported fruits, and premium coffee beans. It catered to high-end clients, with even a small booth costing thousands of dollars.
Customers came here to discuss business, chat, and socialize.
But today, Happy Week was unusually quiet because the entire place had been reserved.
Four cars were parked outside: a Maserati Quattroporte, two Audi A8s, and a Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
In the top-floor private room of the café, four people sat around a table: one man and three women. One of the women was slightly older, middle-aged but well-maintained, exuding a subtle air of authority.
It was Wren.
Sitting across from her were Lily, Anna, and Zack.
Lily was the head of the Benson family, while Anna and Zack were the children of other family heads, holding high positions and representing their families.
"When is Noah coming?" Wren asked, glancing at the door, a bit anxious.
"Why the rush, Mrs. Winchester? Noah is usually very punctual, and we still have five minutes until our scheduled time," Anna smiled.
The meeting was set for 2 PM, and it was now 1:55 PM.
"Mrs. Winchester, Mr. Anderson holds a prestigious position. I hope you won't address him by his first name. It's disrespectful," Lily said coldly, frowning. "Disrespecting Mr. Anderson is disrespecting the Benson family. I don't want such a small matter to strain our families' relationship."
Wren's face changed slightly. She hadn't expected Lily to say that in front of the others.
With the other two families present, Lily's words clearly showed she was siding with Noah.
And it seemed like Lily, the head of the Benson family, held Noah in high regard.
Anna and Zack exchanged glances, their eyes reflecting their thoughts.
Anna wondered if Noah had some hidden identity that made Lily treat him with such respect.
Zack was surprised, thinking Lily might know Noah's true identity.
"Since you put it that way, I'll be careful with my words," Wren sighed.
---
Footsteps approached.
A young man, calm and composed, walked in with his hands behind his back.
"Mr. Anderson!" Seeing Noah, Lily and Zack stood up, showing respect.
Anna checked the time. It was exactly 2 PM; Noah was right on time.
Noah waved his hand. "You three can leave. I need to talk to Mrs. Winchester alone."
"Alright." Lily, Anna, and Zack quickly left, leaving Noah and Wren alone in the room.
"Mrs. Winchester, let me introduce myself. I'm Noah from the Anderson Group," Noah said, smiling as he sat across from Wren.
"So, you are really from the Anderson Group!" Wren's eyes widened. "Mr. Anderson, the logistics cooperation you mentioned with my family isn't about food delivery, is it?"
"Of course not." Noah looked exasperated. "That day at the Royal Garden, your son Gideon insisted it was about food delivery and didn't give me a chance to explain. It was a misunderstanding."
"Gideon is a spoiled kid. I hope you can understand, Mr. Anderson," Wren smiled. "Since you're from the Anderson Group, I've heard about the logistics cooperation. Most cities in the eastern part of Eagleland have partnered with the Anderson Group and benefited greatly."
"We've been looking forward to working with the Anderson Group. I just didn't expect you to approach us. How do you propose we cooperate?"
Noah smiled. Talking to smart people was always easier.
He took a stack of documents from his bag and handed them to Wren. "Take a look. These are the details and contract for the logistics cooperation. If you agree, just sign it."
The contract had been sent over by Xavier that afternoon.
"Alright." Wren nodded and began reading the contract.
The more she read, the more excited she became.
The contract outlined the Anderson Group's plan to establish a global logistics network.
This network would cover all regions worldwide.
Once established, the Anderson Group's goods could be transported quickly for sale domestically.
Items like Lumarian Pisco, Ceviche from the Desert Continent, Kenyan coffee, and Parma ham from Zephyria...
There were also luxury items like diamonds, gold artifacts, velvet, and Turkish carpets...
Currently, importing goods from abroad took a long time, at least half a month, and even longer during conflicts.
But the Anderson Group's logistics network could speed this up by five times, which was a staggering improvement!
It would leave other logistics companies far behind.
Similarly, once the network was established, Eagleland's products could be quickly exported.
And more common goods like local specialties and snacks.
By the time Wren finished reading, her excitement had turned to astonishment.
