Chapter 255 I Have No Harm Towards You
Noah froze for a moment, taken aback by how scared Gideon was of him.
Evelyn, standing nearby, turned pale when she saw Noah. Fear flickered in her eyes, and she trembled.
At the Grand Horizon Hotel, Noah had kicked her too.
Noah was ruthless and didn't care if his opponent was a woman. If he wanted to strike, he would.
"Hey, Mr. Winchester, don't worry. I'm not here to cause any trouble," Noah reassured Gideon.
At the same table, Zack and Anna turned their eyes toward Noah.
Zack frowned, a hint of anger in his eyes. He harbored deep resentment toward Noah. The girl he had pursued for so long, Lily, had chosen Noah as her boyfriend. Zack had never gotten over it.
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became.
"Noah?" Anna's gaze landed on Noah, her mouth agape in surprise.
She hadn't expected to run into Noah here.
At Fortune Plaza, Noah had helped her retrieve her stolen purse. She still remembered the favor.
After returning home, Anna had used some connections to try to find Noah, but to no avail.
Yet here they were, meeting again.
'It's the destiny,' Anna thought, her heart beating a little faster.
Gideon rolled his eyes at Noah. "I don't believe you! Now, please stay away from me. This is a public place, and there are security guards around. You better behave here."
Despite his words, Gideon's legs were still trembling under the table.
Zack and Anna were both surprised. Did Gideon and Noah have some kind of grudge?
Noah shook his head helplessly and said seriously, "Mr. Winchester, we had some misunderstandings before, I apologize to you for this. I'm sorry for hitting you before. I hope you can accept my apology. I promise I won't lay a hand on you here."
"What? Noah hit Gideon?" Anna was shocked and confused.
Gideon was from the Winchester Family, one of the four major families. He was set to take over as the head of the family in the future.
His status and power far exceeded Noah's. Was Noah not afraid of Gideon's retaliation?
"A promise? I'm not naive enough to believe your promise. Just stay away from me, and we'll leave each other alone!" Gideon sneered, just wanting Noah to disappear from his sight.
The longer Noah stood here, the more terrified Gideon became.
"What will it take for you to believe I mean no harm?" Noah asked sincerely.
His eyes were clear and pure, making Gideon almost believe him. Did Noah really mean no harm?
"Fine, swear it!" Gideon gritted his teeth, deciding to give Noah a chance.
"I swear," Noah said earnestly, "I mean you no harm. I sincerely apologize for the unpleasantness before and hope you can forgive me. I also swear I won't lay a hand on you."
Hearing this, Gideon secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Noah's expression seemed harmless enough.
Evelyn, standing nearby, also relaxed.
"Alright, what do you want?" Gideon quickly reverted to his usual nonchalant demeanor. He didn't believe Noah was here just to apologize.
"I've heard about the Winchester Family's logistics company in Oceanbridge City. It's a powerhouse, ranking among the top in the country for sea, air, and land transportation," Noah said, "I'm here to discuss a logistics partnership with the Winchester family."
Everyone was taken aback.
"Noah, did I hear you right?" Gideon widened his eyes. "Are you out of your mind? You're a delivery guy, and you want to partner with the Winchester Family? What are you thinking?"
"Gideon, what did you say? Noah is a delivery guy?" Zack's eyes lit up with interest.
Anna also looked at Gideon curiously.
"Yeah, I saw it with my own eyes! My girlfriend and I were staying at a hotel, and Noah delivered our food!" Gideon said.
Zack laughed, slapping the table. "What a joke! You're a delivery guy, and you think you're good enough for Lily? That titanium gift you gave her at the birthday party, did you steal it? I was worried you had some powerful background! Turns out, you're just a delivery guy!"
"What's so funny? He's working hard and earning an honest living. He hasn't done anything illegal," Anna frowned, clearly displeased with Zack and Gideon's attitude.
"Noah, as you said, the Winchester Family's logistics are top-notch nationwide," Evelyn said, covering her mouth as she laughed, "But what makes you think a delivery guy can partner with the Winchester Family? Are you going to have them deliver food for you and give them a dollar or two per order?"
The table erupted in laughter.
"It's not me who wants to partner with the Winchester Family. It's the Anderson Group behind me," Noah said, suppressing the urge to punch someone. "If we partner, it will benefit the Winchester Family greatly."
Everyone was puzzled. They had never heard of this group.
"Noah, what is the Anderson Group? I know all the major companies and groups in Oceanbridge City, but I've never heard of the Anderson Group," Zack said, mocking Noah. "Did you make it up?"
"Made up? I don't think so," Evelyn chuckled, "The Anderson Group might be a company Noah started himself."
"A company started by a bunch of delivery guys?" Gideon's eyes lit up, and he clapped his hands, laughing, "Noah, I know how you want to partner with the Winchester Family!"
He looked at Noah, pretending to be serious. "Did you gather all the delivery guys in Oceanbridge City to start a company called the Anderson Group? You want us to use the Winchester Family's logistics to help your delivery guys deliver food and give us a commission?"
Hearing this, Zack laughed so hard he clutched his stomach, his face contorted, "Gideon, I didn't know you had a sense of humor! A bunch of delivery guys starting a company and using the Winchester Family's logistics to deliver food, what a joke! Noah, if you partner with the Winchester Family, I'll order food every day to support your business! Five-star reviews all the way!"
The table was filled with laughter and mockery as everyone looked at Noah with ridicule and amusement.
