Chapter 169 Proving Innocence

At this moment, Noah was surrounded by a chilling aura that kept people away.

His eyes were as cold as ice, devoid of any emotion.

Caught under his gaze, Daniel and Zoe shivered, feeling a chill run down their spines.

"Hmph, am I wrong, Noah?" Zoe sneered. "Didn’t you cheat? Heh, don't try to deny it. The evidence is clear, we've all seen the photos!"

"That's right, Noah. You dare to cheat on Lisa behind her back? And you even went after Kyle's daughter? I'm starting to wonder whether you bought this villa with your money or Lily's!" Zoe accused.

Daniel spoke sharply, "You used to be a useless bum, barely getting by. Now you've turned into a gold digger trying to climb up the social ladder! Heh, do you really think trash like you deserves to be my son-in-law?

"Now, take the birth certificates and go get a divorce with Lisa. Get out of the Wilson family!" Daniel demanded.

Lisa's large eyes welled up with tears as she looked at Noah, her expression a mix of complex emotions - reluctance, resentment, sadness...

Various emotions surged within her, causing her delicate body to tremble. She wanted to cry, yet she couldn't bring herself to sob loudly.

Noah's gaze flickered as he instantly understood that there had been a misunderstanding.

But what angered him was that Daniel and Zoe had jumped to conclusions without considering the facts, accusing him of cheating and demanding a divorce from Lisa.

In the end, Lisa was overwhelmed with heartbreak.

When someone Noah loved was heartbroken, it naturally ignited a raging anger within him.

"Trust me, Lisa, I would never cheat," Noah said, looking at Lisa earnestly.

"The photos are right there, how can you expect me to believe you?" Lisa's voice choked with tears.

"Noah, don't think about begging or trying to make Lisa forgive you. It's impossible!" Zoe interjected.

Noah ignored Zoe; he knew that only he, as the person involved, could explain things clearly.

He took out his phone and dialed Lily's number, only to find that her phone was turned off.

"Could Lily not have her phone with her?"

Noah's gaze flickered, and then he took Lisa's hand and walked toward the exit of the villa.

"Noah, what are you doing?" Daniel blazed with anger. "You are no longer my son-in-law! Show some respect for my daughter."

"Shut up!"

Noah turned around and uttered two words, his voice icy.

Daniel's face changed, scared into silence.

"Come with me, Lisa. I’ll explain this whole thing from beginning to end and prove to you that I have not cheated," Noah said to Lisa.

Lisa's eyes flickered. To be honest, she also found it hard to believe that Noah would cheat on her behind her back.

"Okay!"

Lisa nodded vigorously.

They got into the car and Noah drove them to the Royal Garden.

They arrived half an hour later.

Noah took Lisa to Lily's room.

"Who are you?!"

Two burly men stood at the entrance of the room. When they saw Noah, they immediately shouted coldly, "Get out! You shouldn’t be here!"

Noah kicked them without saying a word.

There were two loud thuds.

The two men slammed heavily against the wall. When they fell to the ground, their eyes rolled back and they were barely conscious.

Noah pulled Lisa into the room.

"Noah!"

When Lily saw Noah enter, she Lily immediately stood up, her face full of worry as she looked at him.

"Are you okay? My dad may have sent someone to look for trouble with you! He took away my phone, so I couldn't contact you. I've been so worried!"

"I'm fine. I've already taken care of it." Noah shook his head and looked at Lisa. "This is my wife, Lisa."

"So this is Lisa!" Lily immediately smiled. "I envy you. You found a good husband like Noah."

After speaking, she looked Lisa up and down.

Although the clothes Lisa was wearing were not as expensive as hers, her temperament, appearance, and figure were all similar to hers, and they were both top-notch beauties.

Lisa also had an additional gentle temperament compared to her, a gentle temperament that also contained strength. Lily felt that she didn't have that kind of temperament herself.

"Explain what our relationship is to my wife," Noah said, touching his nose.

Lily was taken aback and looked at Lisa, her eyes turning red. She instantly understood what was going on.

Noah and his wife had probably argued because of the fake boyfriend incident.

"Lisa, let me explain how Noah and I met..."

Lily started from when she met Noah and explained the whole situation in detail.

After finishing, Lily asked Noah to show Lisa their chat records on his phone, proving that nothing inappropriate had happened between her and Noah.

Finally, they proved that Noah was only her paid fake boyfriend!

With everything settled, Lisa felt herself relax, as if a weight had been lifted off her.

She looked at Noah, tears streaming from her eyes.

"I'm sorry, honey. I wronged you."

Lisa hugged Noah and sobbed, "I shouldn't have doubted you. You love me so much, how could you cheat on me?"

"It's okay, it was just a minor incident! We've been married for a year, and these things happen in many families." Noah gently patted Lisa's back, comforting her.

With the misunderstanding resolved, he also breathed a sigh of relief.

"Goodbye, Lily," Noah said as he led Lisa outside.

"Wait, Noah," Lily interrupted, her face filled with worry. "My father will do anything to achieve his goals. I can't stop him. You might have resolved the trouble this time, but my father will definitely come looking for you again. You must be careful."

Noah nodded. "Tell your father, that the Benson family means nothing to me. Kyle had better be honest, otherwise the Benson family he worked so hard for may disappear in an instant."

After saying that, Noah and Lisa left.

Lily's expression became bitter and complex as she watched Noah's figure fade away.

She knew Noah was not a simple man, but could that stop her ambitious father?

'I just hope Noah was only bluffing. He probably doesn't have the power to back them up,' Lily thought to herself.

Meanwhile, Paisley lay in a hospital bed in Oceanbridge City, bandages wrapped around both hands, blood seeping through the cloth.

Paisley had opened his eyes and looked weak and pale.

Kyle stood beside him with his hands behind his back, his face dark.

"I sent five men and they were all severely injured. So, does that mean we didn't retrieve the rare metal?" Kyle asked.

"That's correct, Sir," Paisley replied weakly. "Noah's skills far surpassed my expectations. We were no match for him."

"I failed this mission, and I am willing to accept punishment!" Paisley said, turning his head to look at his bandaged hands.

"Forget it, you've already been punished enough," Kyle said, shaking his head.
