Chapter 303 The Murphy Mansion

"Roy?" Noah's eyes widened. In the last century, Oceanbridge City had three major tycoons: Roy, Eugene Bailey, and Gerald Rivera.

These guys could change the whole city with just a flick of their wrist. They were the real power players in Oceanbridge City.

Noah never imagined that The Luca Mansion used to be Roy's place, The Murphy Mansion.

Bodhi continued, "When Eagleland was established, Roy died in Oceanbridge City. A lot of his influence shifted to the eastern part of Eagleland. They say Lucas's older brother, Luke, was a relative of Roy."

"Not a direct descendant, but they had some family ties, which was beyond everyone's knowlegde," Bodhi added. "Another tycoon, Eugene, ran off to the New York Stock Exchange to dodge trouble and died there."

"And Gerald? He got taken out by his own bodyguard. Those three big shots who once ruled Oceanbridge City met very different fates. It's kinda sad!"

Bodhi sighed deeply.

"Bodhi, does that mean Ethan's status now is even higher than those three tycoons?" Daisy asked, curious.

"Times have changed," Bodhi shook his head. "Back then, the whole Oceanbridge City was a foreign concession. For those three to become major tycoons, it was way tougher than it is now."

"As for Ethan, even though he's a big deal in Oceanbridge City, he still has to play by the rules."

Bodhi concluded, "In short, you can't really compare Ethan with those three tycoons. They lived in totally different times and circumstances."

"I get it now, Bodhi!" Daisy nodded.

About half an hour later, the A6 pulled up outside a mansion.

On either side of the mansion stood stone lions with fierce expressions, looking solemn and majestic. Two tall, stern-faced men in sunglasses stood by the door.

Above the mansion hung a gray plaque with golden letters that read [The Luca Mansion.]

This was the residence of Mason, the big shot of Oceanbridge City, The Luca Mansion!

Right now, the area outside the mansion was packed with cars—Mercedes, Audis, BMWs everywhere. Occasionally, men with big gold chains would step out of the cars.

"Noah, we can't drive up to the entrance of The Luca Mansion. Only the top dogs can park there. We'll park on the other side and walk over," Bodhi said as he turned the car around.

"Got it!" Noah nodded.

The A6 parked about 1000 feet away from The Luca Mansion. The three of them got out and walked towards the mansion.

As they reached the entrance, the men in sunglasses immediately blocked their way and said expressionlessly, "Show your invitation."

Bodhi handed over the invitation. After checking it, the men returned it and said flatly, "You can go to Lounge 3. Someone will notify you when the ceremony starts."

"Alright!" Bodhi didn't ask any more questions. The three of them entered The Luca Mansion.

Inside, there were rock gardens, clear springs, and pavilions, all exuding a serene, garden-like atmosphere. The sound of birds chirping added to the tranquility.

Every path had signposts. Following the signs, the three of them arrived at Lounge 3.

The lounge was spacious, with two wooden pillars carved with intricate patterns. Rows of wooden chairs lined either side of the pillars, almost all occupied by people chatting and discussing, with only a few empty seats left.

Most of the people were in their thirties or forties. Some had tattoos on their shoulders, others wore large gold chains around their necks, but their presence was much less imposing than those car owners outside The Luca Mansion.

Seeing Bodhi, these people only glanced at him before looking away.

"Let's sit down first!" Bodhi called out, finding a chair to sit on. Noah and Daisy sat on either side of him.

"Bodhi, long time no see!" A voice came from behind.

A man in his thirties, wearing white and showing off his well-built muscles, approached. The most striking feature was a scorpion tattoo on his left cheek. He looked at Bodhi with a teasing smile.

"Billy Richardson?" Bodhi frowned at the sight of the man.

"Bodhi, what's with that look?" Billy grinned, "Your presence here means you've submitted to Ethan. Even if we had some friction, I won't cause trouble here. After all, this is Ethan's ceremony. Causing a scene here would be disrespectful."

"Besides, Ethan has ordered no private fights among his men. Violators will be dealt with severely."

Hearing this, Bodhi breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Ethan had strict control over his subordinates.

Billy then turned his gaze to Daisy and Noah, smiling, "What, you brought outsiders to Ethan's ceremony? Afraid something might happen?"

"This is Daisy, a waitress from my bar, and this is my friend..." Bodhi began to introduce.

"I'm not interested in small fry. No need to tell me," Billy interrupted, waving his hand dismissively.

Bodhi smiled wryly and curiously asked, "Billy, this is Lounge 3. Are there also Lounge 2 and Lounge 1?"

"Of course, but people like us can't go there," Billy laughed.

"Really? Tell me more," Bodhi's curiosity was piqued.

"This ceremony of Ethan's has invited people from all levels," Billy explained. "People like us can only stay in Lounge 3. Lounge 2 is for the mid-level folks, and Lounge 1 is for the top brass. We don't have the clearance to go there."
