Chapter 20 Shopping
Noah wrapped his arms around Lisa's slender waist and carried her up easily. Then, he brought her to the big bed inside the room...

The next morning, radiant sunlight streamed into the room.
Lisa stretched herself, showing off her exquisite curve.
Turning her head, she found Noah already awake and looking at her.
"How was last night?" Noah asked.
Lisa's cheeks turned red. "It was ... good, but my legs are sore."
Her heartbeat quickened when she thought of the craziness last night. Then, she said, "Darling, your issue..."
"No issues anymore," Noah said with a smile.
"Really?!" Lisa's eyes lit up with overwhelming joy.
"Of course. That's why your legs are sore." Noah rolled his eyes.
"Don't make fun of me!" Lisa punched Noah on his chest softly and then reminded him, "We should wash the bedsheet right now if we still want to sleep on it tonight."
She lifted the blanket and pointed at the redness on the bedsheet.
"Just throw it away. We'll buy a new one," Noah suggested casually.
"That's so wasteful. I know you found a job, but your salary barely covers our bills. Also, our company has been in poor operating conditions recently, so they've been laying people off."
Lisa said seriously, "So, I'll earn less than before. After paying for taxis, meals, socializing, clothing, and daily necessities, we can't have much left each month. Darling, now that you're cured, we need to start thinking about the future, such as a house and kids.
"So, from now on, we need to start saving up. A new bedsheet costs tens of dollars. We should just wash this one and keep using it."
"Fine, fine. We won't buy a new one then!"
Seeing how Lisa planned for their future, Noah was moved. He reached out his arms to embrace her and said softly, "Then let's start saving up from today!"
"That's my good man!" Lisa nodded and kissed Noah.
After making out in bed, Noah and Lisa both went off to work.
At MedicaVibe Ventures.
"Have you heard? Yesterday at around 6 p.m., there was a Rolls-Royce parked downstairs!"
Noah had just gotten to the office when he heard the employees discussing it excitedly.
"I have. I saw the short videos on my phone last night!"
"Short videos of that Rolls-Royce are all over the internet now!"
Mia was also among the discussion. She clenched her phone like an excited schoolgirl, her eyes shining with admiration. "No one saw what the owner looked like. They only took a silhouette of him. He must be young and full of charisma! Last night, I watched those videos hundreds of times! My eyes were so tired!"
Everyone could tell that Mia was telling the truth from her red eyes.
"Looks like Mia is thirsty!" a colleague teased.
"Any woman would be thirsty in front of such a man! He's just like a Prince Charming!" Mia snorted, "Of course, I like him not because he has a Rolls-Royce, but because he is full of charisma."
"It's hard to tell if you'll ever meet him again. Maybe he works in this building as well!"
"I watched the videos hundreds of times last night. As long as he appears in front of me, I'll recognize him immediately and ask for his number."
Mia prayed, "Please give me a chance to meet him!"
"Noah is here." Someone saw Noah enter the office.
"Right, wasn't Noah the last one to leave the company last night? Noah, did you see who drove that Rolls-Royce?" a coworker asked Noah.
Noah shook his head. "No, I didn't."
"What's the point of asking Noah?" Mia gave Noah a sidelong glance and scoffed, "He has probably never heard of Rolls-Royce before. All he deserves is a Mazda!"
Hearing this, everyone in the office laughed.
Noah started working calmly.
In the evening after work, Noah took a taxi home, only to find that Lisa had already come back.
She was wearing pajamas, revealing two beautiful legs, lying on the couch watching television. However, she seemed bothered and her gaze was unfocused.
"Honey, what's wrong?" Noah moved closer and asked, sensing something wrong.
Seeing Noah come back, Lisa hugged him and started to sob.
"What happened? Tell me, and I'll help you solve it." Noah stroked Lisa's head, his voice soft but firm.
"I... I might lose my job." Lisa whimpered, "Many big clients of ours took the money and vanished today. We can't get back our capital any time soon. It's more than one million! We need the money to run the company! Otherwise, we will go bankrupt in a week, and I will lose my job..."
As she spoke, she finally couldn't hold back her tears any longer.
She knew one couldn't survive without a job and income in Oceanbridge City.
"So, it's just about money!" Noah smiled and said, "Any problem that can be solved with money isn't a real problem."
"Is easy for you to say. Where can I get the money?!" Lisa was slightly amused by Noah, rolling her eyes at him.
"There, there. Don't cry." Noah wiped the tears from the corners of Lisa's eyes.
"Evelyn said she is trying to find a way to get the money. She's even willing to transfer company shares. The company can't just go bankrupt!" Lisa said, "Evelyn has many pursuers, including some wealthy heirs. We can only pin our hopes on these people to get through this situation."
Noah nodded and comforted Lisa. After putting her to sleep, he headed to the bathroom to phone Xavier.
"Hello, Xavier. Check the recent operating conditions of Pinnacle Wealth Management and let me know."
"Yes, Mr. Anderson!"
Hanging up the phone, Noah went back to the room to rest.
The next morning, Lisa wrapped her arms around Noah's neck and buried her head in his chest, speaking with a cute voice, "Honey, it's the weekend. Let's go shopping! I've asked Evelyn and one of her pursuers, too. His family does real estate and is rich. I hope he can help our company get through this."
