Chapter 256 I Moved My Foot
"Noah, you just said partnering with the Winchester Family would be a huge win," Gideon sneered, his face twisted with mockery. "You can't seriously mean just using their logistics to deliver takeout and giving us a cut, right? Even if your Anderson Group has a thousand delivery drivers and you give us two bucks per order, that's only two grand a day."
Gideon's eyes were filled with even more disdain. "Two grand a day isn't even a drop in the bucket for the Winchester Family."
Once his words landed, laughter erupted again.
"Gideon, can you tone it down a bit?" Anna said, clearly annoyed with how everyone was laughing at Noah.
Noah's idea might seem a bit laughable, but at least he came to discuss a partnership sincerely. The way everyone was mocking him was just too much!
Noah's brows furrowed, his eyes blazing with anger. Sensing his gaze, both Gideon and Evelyn shuddered, feeling a bit scared.
"Noah, what are you gonna do?" Gideon asked fearfully, glancing at Noah. "You swore you wouldn't lay a hand on me. Don't break your promise! And this is a public place with security! If you cause trouble, you'll definitely get thrown out!"
Noah took a deep breath and said, "Fine, I won't lay a hand on you."
Hearing this, Gideon and Evelyn relaxed a bit.
"Noah, is that suit you're wearing Armani?" Zack asked, noticing that Noah's suit was a world-class luxury brand.
"Really?" Gideon looked surprised.
"It's true," Evelyn nodded, being quite knowledgeable about luxury goods. "That suit he's wearing costs around two hundred and fifty thousand dollars."
"Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars? Noah, how long would you have to deliver takeout to earn that much?" Zack couldn't believe it.
"Zack, you don't think Noah bought that suit, do you?" Gideon sneered, Noah's promise not to lay a hand on him had made Gideon feel much more at ease.
"A two hundred and fifty thousand dollar suit? Noah, you're a delivery guy, could you afford that? You must have rented it!" Gideon continued, "But even the daily rental must be two or three thousand dollars, which is half a month's salary for you! Noah, you really went all out to prepare for this meeting!"
"Mr. Winchester, let's not talk about all that. Let's just discuss the logistics partnership," Noah said, "The Anderson Group wants to partner with the Winchester Family for logistics. Are you interested? If so, we can discuss it in detail. I guarantee it will bring great benefits to the Winchester Family!"
"Great benefits? Two thousand dollars a day is great benefits?" Evelyn scoffed, "Noah, do you know how much the Winchester Family makes in a day? The family's daily profit is at least two hundred thousand dollars! The Winchester family is a billion-dollar family. Do you think they'll care about your two thousand dollars a day?"
"You're such a bumkin, renting an Armani suit to try to impress the Winchester Family. But you doesn't realize how insignificant your offer is compared to the Winchester Family's wealth," Zack laughed.
"Noah, you're really out of touch with reality. Do you think the Winchester Family is someone you can just partner with?" Gideon sneered.
Anna shook her head helplessly. Although their words were harsh, they were true. The Winchester Family wouldn't care about a two or three thousand dollar deal.
"Noah, maybe you should stop delivering takeout," Anna suggested, "Come work at our store. I'll make you the general manager. How about ten thousand dollars a month?"
She was trying to repay Noah's kindness. Seeing him being mocked like this made her feel bad.
"No, thanks," Noah waved her off.
"Your standards are pretty high. Anna offered you a manager position with a ten thousand dollar monthly salary, and you turned it down! That's a decent job!" Gideon sneered, "You're really not ambitious. You talk about the Anderson Group, but you're just dreaming! Your delivery company isn't even worthy of being called a group!"
"Originally, you were a bum. Now you're delivering takeout, and I thought you had some ambition. But you still don't have a clear understanding of yourself! You dream of partnering with the Winchester family, hoping to rely on them. Noah, go home and sleep. You can dream about anything there!" Evelyn mocked.
Just as they finished speaking, a dark shadow flew towards them. It was Noah's foot, moving as fast as a bullet.
Two dull thuds sounded. Before Gideon and Evelyn could react, Noah had kicked them, sending them flying onto a table five yards away. The table couldn't withstand the force, cracking and collapsing. The two of them fell to the ground.
"What's going on? Is there a fight?" someone exclaimed.
The scene turned chaotic, with everyone dining looking over in surprise.
"It hurts so much!" Gideon clutched his stomach, screaming in pain. That kick felt like it had broken his intestines, the pain was unbearable. Evelyn was also crying.
"Noah! You broke your promise!" Gideon pointed at Noah, cursing, "You said you wouldn't lay a hand on me! You have no integrity! Why did you hit me?"
Zack and Anna were both stunned, not expecting Noah to suddenly act.
"I said I wouldn't lay a hand on you, but I used my foot," Noah said, grinning.
Gideon and Evelyn were furious, not expecting Noah to play word games with them.
Noah looked down and saw his newly bought Armani suit covered in food and wine stains. That kick had overturned two tables, and the mess had splashed onto him.
Noah looked at it, sighing and feeling a bit heartbroken. He then stepped forward, standing in front of Gideon, and smiled coldly. "Gideon, you're really arrogant! Calling you Mr. Winchester was a courtesy, but you showed me no respect!"
Noah kicked Gideon in the stomach again. "I tried to talk to you about a logistics partnership. You could have just said yes or no, but you had to mock me. Are you asking for it?"
Noah kicked him again.
Gideon screamed, his body trembling and convulsing on the ground.
