Chapter 388 Celestial Peak Real Estate Company
"Evelyn, I gotta say, I didn't see that coming from you," Mr. Harris said, his eyes lighting up. "Noah's a real hothead. He'll throw a punch if you so much as look at him funny! If you'd said the wrong thing earlier, he might've actually decked someone!"
Evelyn remembered the class reunion where Noah had started a brawl. Out of nowhere, he just started swinging, and the old classmates were too scared to even fight back.
"Yeah, Evelyn, a real man knows when to bend and when to stand tall. I'm a real man, and Noah's just a small-minded punk. What's the point in getting into it with someone like that? Why waste time on petty arguments?" Rhett's eyes flashed coldly. "But, of course, Noah embarrassed me today, and I'm not gonna let him off the hook."
"Evelyn, once we snag the house, I'll find someone to teach him a lesson! The Harris family big shots are too chicken to go after Noah because of Bodhi, but I've got cash. The underworld will do anything for the right price!" Rhett's lips curled into a cruel smile.
"Go for it, Mr. Harris! I wanna be there to see it!" Evelyn nodded, clinging tightly to Rhett's arm, full of anticipation.
Meanwhile, Noah and Lisa were getting the grand tour of the Oasis Villa community. The two villas Noah bought were already decked out, with walnut and cherry wood as the main materials, and a light white color scheme that gave off a vibe of tranquility and subtle elegance.
Both villas were three stories with rooftops, and the $15 million one even had a pool. It was a sweet setup.
"Are you happy with the villas?" the sales agent asked with a smile after showing them around.
"Not bad. What do you think, babe?" Noah nodded, turning to Lisa.
"They're nice," Lisa agreed, nodding with satisfaction.
"Awesome, let's head to the County Recorder's Office to wrap everything up."
"Sounds good!"
Noah nodded, suggesting Lisa chill at the villa while he and the sales agent handled the property transaction.
After a busy afternoon, they finally got it all squared away. Noah bought two villas: one for him and Lisa to live in, and the other for Bodhi and the Respect Noah Pavilion crew.
Forty members had come, with twenty staying at the Galaxy District, which used to be Jesse's turf. The current presidential suite wasn't enough for the remaining twenty, so buying another villa would accommodate them.
Noah still felt a bit guilty towards the Respect Noah Pavilion, especially North. Ethan had sent over North's info.
North was from the South, and Noah decided that after dealing with the Murphy family, he would return North's ashes to his hometown.
At 5 PM, Noah returned to the villa from the property office. "Babe, take a breather. Later, I'll swing by the Hilton to grab your luggage, and we can settle in here," Noah said, plopping down on the couch.
Lisa nodded, clearly pleased with the villa.
Suddenly, Noah's phone rang. It was Aurelia. "Mr. Anderson... please help me. I'm at Radiant Pearl Hotel, room 302... The folks from Celestial Peak Real Estate Company are here having dinner with me... but they're trying to force me to drink..."
Her voice trailed off with the sound of retching. "Celestial Peak Real Estate Company?" Noah's eyes narrowed. "Hang tight, I'll be right there."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Noah turned to Lisa. "Babe, I gotta step out for a bit."
"Alright," Lisa nodded, knowing Noah wouldn't leave unless it was something serious.
Noah left Oasis Villa and headed straight for Radiant Pearl Hotel.
He knew Aurelia had been knee-deep in work with Evergreen Market and digging into the Harris family's massive $20 billion environmental equipment deal. Her sudden call for help had to be tied to Evergreen Market.
Without wasting any time, he followed the GPS to Radiant Pearl Hotel.
Radiant Pearl Hotel was a swanky spot in Silverlight City's Gold Valley District, with a parking lot packed with luxury rides like BMWs and Mercedes. The folks coming and going were all dressed to the nines.
Inside room 302, Aurelia sat at the table, clearly tipsy, her cheeks flushed.
Her black business suit and open white shirt were alluring, and her eyes were a bit glazed over. Around her were seven or eight guys in suits, all eyeing her like vultures. They were from Celestial Peak Real Estate Company.
Across from Aurelia was a middle-aged guy in his fifties, with a face like a bulldog, leering at her. His name was Cameron Simmons, the big shot behind Celestial Peak Real Estate Company. He had his fingers in about ten percent of Silverlight City's real estate pie.
"Ms. Kingsley, you sure can hold your liquor!" Cameron stood up, placing another full glass of wine in front of Aurelia. "You've already knocked back ten glasses. If you can handle five more, I'll let you open Evergreen Market branches in all the neighborhoods and developments in Galaxy District!"
Cameron grinned, his eyes glued to Aurelia's chest. 'She's a real knockout! A powerhouse in business, not one to back down. Getting a woman like her under my thumb would be quite the trophy!'
In his mind, he already saw Aurelia passed out on the bed, completely at his mercy. "Alright, Mr. Simmons, a deal's a deal. I'll drink!" Aurelia pushed her short hair behind her ear, picked up the glass, and downed it in one go.
She couldn't help but cough, her throat and stomach burning.
"Good!" "Ms. Kingsley, what a drinker!" Cameron's men clapped like seals.
"Keep it coming!" Cameron poured Aurelia another glass.
"My stomach's killing me, can I take a breather?" Aurelia looked at the glass, her stomach doing flips, almost making her puke again.
"No way! I already let you hurl once, so even if you rest, it can't be more than ten seconds!" Cameron chuckled. "Keep drinking! Just four more glasses, Ms. Kingsley, and I'll sign the contract for 200 Evergreen Market branches in Galaxy District right away!"
Aurelia looked at the glass, feeling trapped. To get Evergreen Market branches up and running, she'd jumped through hoops with the business and fire departments, but the last hurdle was picking locations.
Aurelia had big dreams, wanting Evergreen Market in every neighborhood, street, and even building in Silverlight City. This meant that in some places, just having the cash for rent wasn't enough; you needed the property!
Some developers weren't keen on renting out storefronts for supermarkets, like Cameron.
He controlled a chunk of Silverlight City's real estate and was tight with most of the big real estate players. With just a word from him, opening Evergreen Market branches would be a breeze.
But Cameron was making it tough for her—Fifteen strong drinks for renting storefronts for supermarket. If she couldn't drink, everything was off the table.
