Chapter 327 Low Standard

"I don't." Noah shook his head. He really didn't have a certification.

"No?" Kurt smirked and switched to the local Silverlight City slang, "Then Ms. Carroll must've been mistaken. This Noah guy's guitar skills are probably around Grade 5, maybe even Grade 4."

"Why do you say that, Mr. Lowe?" a nearby female teacher asked, curious.

"Isn't it obvious?" Kurt chuckled. "If Noah really had a Grade 6 guitar level, why wouldn't he have a certification?"

"Clearly, he doesn't have a Grade 6 level, so he didn't take the exam. He's scared of being found out because the Grade 6 exam pieces are chosen randomly by the examiner."

"In short, Noah's guitar skills aren't that high. He probably only knows that one piece, 'Love's Remembrance,' which is likely his best piece. That's why his performance made Ms. Carroll mistakenly think he had a Grade 6 level."

Everyone nodded in agreement. If Noah really had a Grade 6 level, he would have taken the exam. But he didn't have a certification, which meant he either didn't take it or didn't pass. So, Noah's level couldn't be Grade 6.

"Mr. Lowe's analysis makes sense!" a female teacher said.

"I can't believe I forgot to ask about this!" Audrey slapped her leg in regret. "I didn't even ask Noah about his guitar level before signing the contract. Now that the contract is signed, it's hard to back out!"

"Ms. Carroll, don't worry," Kurt smiled. "Since Mr. Anderson can play 'Love's Remembrance' and made you think his guitar level was Grade 6, he must at least know some basic guitar knowledge."

"He should be more than capable of teaching beginners, right?"

Kurt looked confident, as if everything was under his control.

"You make a good point!" Audrey realized and said to Noah, "Noah, from now on, you'll be responsible for teaching the beginners. I don't think you can handle the advanced students."

"Alright." Noah nodded. He didn't care who he taught, as long as he had a job. As for Kurt, Noah felt he was being targeted for no reason, which made him a bit annoyed.

Kurt's gaze towards Noah was cold and mocking as he thought, 'Kid, in this punk guitar class, besides me, all the other teachers are women. I can pursue whoever I want! Now with you in the way, it's troublesome! But within three days, I'll make sure you leave this guitar class on your own!'

After the meeting, it was time for class.

"Mr. Anderson, come with me. I'll introduce you to your students," Kurt called out to Noah.

"Okay." Noah and Kurt left the meeting room and walked side by side down the hallway.

"Mr. Anderson, are you a local from Silverlight City?" Kurt asked casually in the local dialect.

"No." Noah shook his head.

"So you're from the northern part of Imperial State or from another state," Kurt's eyes flashed with mockery. "Silverlight City has developed quite well over the years, being the central city of Imperial State. Of course, this wouldn't be possible without thousands of you outsiders flocking to Silverlight City, contributing to its development!"

Noah frowned slightly. Kurt's words seemed like praise but carried the arrogance of a local.

"Unlike me, my ancestors were just ordinary farmers and didn't contribute much to the country. But being born in Silverlight City, a local, we got seven or eight houses when the city developed and relocated," Kurt continued. "But you outsiders, coming to Silverlight City, contributing so much to its development, yet can't afford a single house. Is that fair?"

Kurt's face was filled with anger, as if criticizing social injustice, but his eyes were full of pride, showing off to Noah.

"What exactly are you trying to say, Mr. Lowe?" Noah's frown deepened.

"I'm just standing up for outsiders like you!" Kurt said. "Mr. Anderson, you're an outsider, probably broke, coming here to be a guitar teacher, likely hoping to find a local female teacher to marry. But I advise you to give up that idea. All four female teachers in our training center are locals. They won't be interested in you."

"I'm already married," Noah said flatly.

"Married?" Kurt was stunned. "I bet your wife isn't much to look at."

"Mr. Lowe, are we at the classroom yet?" Noah didn't want to waste more words with Kurt.

"It's right up ahead. Go on in." Kurt stopped and pointed to the classroom.

"Alright." Noah entered the classroom.

"Married and still daring to pursue female teachers. You really have guts! An outsider, not showing me respect. Kid, just wait and see how I deal with you! There's plenty of time!"

Watching Noah's back, Kurt's eyes were cold.

Inside the classroom, Noah looked at his students. There were over twenty of them, mostly kids around eight to twelve years old.

"Hello, teacher!" The kids greeted Noah in unison, their voices clear and bright.

"Hey there, everyone," Noah smiled. Seeing these cute kids, his earlier annoyance disappeared. Although Noah hadn't touched professional guitar knowledge for years, he still remembered it well. Teaching these beginners was more than enough.

Two hours later, it was around noon, almost lunchtime. Noah's class ended, and he had no classes in the afternoon. He sent a message on Facebook to Clementine, asking how her interview went.

Soon, Clementine replied, [Mr. Anderson, the interview went well. The salary and benefits are pretty good. I just finished a class and can head back to the Hilton for the livestream in the afternoon.]

[Great, I'll wait for you at the punk guitar entrance. We'll go back together,] Noah replied. Before checking out, he planned to tell the Hilton front desk to book the presidential suite for a month.

[Okay, Mr. Anderson, I'll be there soon,] Clementine replied with a cute emoji.

Noah put away his phone and walked to the punk guitar entrance. Kurt and Audrey came out from inside.

"Mr. Anderson, why are you standing here? Aren't you going to lunch?" Audrey was slightly surprised to see Noah.

"I'm waiting for someone," Noah said.

"Waiting for someone?" Kurt rolled his eyes. "I bet you don't have money for lunch. After all, you're an outsider, no house here, renting a place, and just started a new job with no paycheck yet. You must be broke."

"Noah, how about this? I'll treat you to a twenty-dollar meal, and you can pay me back when you get your paycheck."

"I'm really waiting for someone." Noah frowned. If it weren't for just meeting Kurt, he would have slapped him for his attitude.

"Stop pretending. You're an outsider in Silverlight City. What friends could you have?" Kurt sneered.

Footsteps approached, and a girl walked over.
