Chapter 418 Let's Get Divorced

"You've got some self-awareness," Jade nodded. "Are you sure you don't want this hundred million dollars?"

"No, I don't," Sarah shook her head, her voice firm. "When I married Noah, he didn't have a dime. I married him because I loved him. If I'm not good enough for him now, I'll step aside. I don't need the money."

"Alright," Jade put the card away. "It seems you really do love Noah, but the gap between your statuses is too big. For Noah and the Anderson family, I can't let this marriage continue. I'm sorry."

"Of course, given your history with my son, if you ever run into trouble at work or in life, reach out to me. I'll help you out. I'll give you my number later," Jade said, standing up and heading out of the café, with Xavier following closely behind.

As Jade left, Lisa couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She buried her head, trying to suppress her sobs, her whole body trembling.

Pain, despair, reluctance... all these emotions surged in her heart, making her feel like her heart was being torn apart. She wanted to vent but didn't dare to.

Lisa cried softly for a few moments, then thought that Noah would be back soon.

She quickly wiped her tears with a tissue, trying to compose herself.

"Honey," a familiar voice called out. Lisa's heart skipped a beat as she looked up to see Noah walking in.

Seeing his face, and thinking about their impending divorce in two days, Lisa felt a pang of sadness and almost started crying again.

"You're back," Lisa took a deep breath and forced a smile.

"Yeah, honey, what's wrong?" Noah sat across from Lisa, noticing her red eyes and asked curiously.

"Nothing, I probably played on my phone too much. My eyes got a bit dry, so I rubbed them, and they turned red," Lisa waved her hand, looking at Noah, feeling even more heartbroken.

"Don't play on your phone so much. Let's go to the pharmacy later and get some eye drops," Noah suggested with a smile.

"Okay." Lisa nodded.

After finishing their coffee, they went to a nearby pharmacy to buy some eye drops and then prepared to head home.

"It seems Mr. Anderson does have feelings for Lisa," Xavier remarked from inside a Bentley parked outside the pharmacy, watching Noah and Lisa leave.

Xavier could tell that whenever Noah looked at Lisa, it was with genuine affection.

"Having feelings is normal," Jade, sitting in the back seat by the window, said calmly. "Everyone has feelings. Even a person and a dog can develop feelings after spending a month together, let alone a married couple."

"But these feelings are insignificant in the face of bigger issues. The Anderson family needs a woman with a better background and family status to be Noah's wife. Clearly, Lisa isn't suitable."

"I think Noah understands this when it comes to such matters."

"And that royal princess is certainly a better match for Noah. Over time, Noah will grow to like her."

"Let's hope so," Xavier sighed lightly. He had spent the most time with Noah when his parents were busy with work.

Xavier knew that Noah was loyal and sentimental, making the divorce a difficult matter.

By the time they got home, it was already evening.

Lisa sat in the passenger seat, silently watching Noah.

Her mind was in turmoil. Although she loved Noah deeply, she believed Jade was right.

With his noble background and extraordinary family, how could a girl from an ordinary family like her be a match?

If she let go, Noah would have a better future. Better to end the pain quickly. She decided to talk to him about the divorce now.

"Noah..." Lisa's voice trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Noah, focused on driving, didn't look at Lisa but was puzzled by her sudden use of his name.

Lisa was silent for a moment. The thought of "divorce" felt like a knife to her heart. She took a deep breath and finally mustered the courage.

"We should get a div—"

Before she could finish, Noah's phone rang.

"Honey, let me take this call," Noah said, picking up his phone. It was Sidney calling.

"Okay," Lisa nodded, feeling a bit relieved. She wanted to spend two more days with Noah.

"Mr. Anderson, I have a chance to meet Fox," Sidney's respectful voice came through the phone.

"When and where?" Noah asked.

"At 1 AM, in an underground casino in Silverlight City. He's gathering all the heads of the dark forces in Silverlight City for an important meeting," Sidney explained.

"1 AM," Noah's eyes flickered. "Follow my instructions when the time comes."

"Yes, sir!"

After hanging up, Noah pondered. Fox suddenly gathering the dark forces' leaders in Silverlight City at this time likely had something to do with the Harris family.

With the Harris family fallen, the remaining interests were clearly attracting the dark forces' attention.

Plus, the Rolls-Royce Guy's live stream had indirectly shown that Noah was still alive, and Fox wouldn't let that go.

'Tonight is crucial. If I can meet Fox, I can take him out,' Noah took a deep breath.

He suddenly remembered that Lisa wanted to talk to him earlier.

"Honey, what were you saying just now?" Noah asked.

"Nothing, just focus on driving," Lisa said, avoiding his gaze.

"Alright," Noah was puzzled but didn't press further, his mind occupied with the Murphy family matters.

When they got home, it was already past 8 PM.

'Starting at 1 AM, there's still time to get Ethan to bring people over from Oceanbridge City,' Noah thought, pulling out his phone to call Ethan, instructing him to bring the Respect Noah Pavilion members to Silverlight City overnight.

According to Sidney, Fox was an elder of the Law Enforcement Department, with highly skilled subordinates.

So, Noah felt that the forty-plus members of Respect Noah Pavilion might not be enough to take down Fox, hence the need for reinforcements.

"Honey, I have something to do tonight, so I might not be back," Noah said to Lisa after hanging up with Ethan.

"I want you to stay with me." Lisa looked at Noah, biting her lip, still feeling heartbroken.

"I'll stay with you tomorrow," Noah patted Lisa's head. "I have something very important to do tonight. Once it's done, I'll spend time with you, okay?"

Lisa hesitated but eventually nodded. "Alright."

"I'll be going then. If anything comes up, call me," Noah smiled and then left.

Watching Noah's back, Lisa's tears flowed again. With only two days left, Noah wouldn't be with her for a whole night.

Though she felt sad, she knew Noah had important matters to attend to, or he wouldn't be leaving.
