Chapter 431 Logical and Natural

"What's it to you that I'm getting my fiancée to drink? Mind your own business!"

Tyrell struggled to get up from the ground, wiping the blood from his mouth, his eyes red with rage. "How can your bar just beat people up like this?"

Standing in front of Tyrell was a tall, burly man in a suit with an icy gaze. He was supposedly the new owner of Luxury Bar.

Earlier, Tyrell had just tried to get Lisa to drink a couple more glasses and wanted to sneakily touch her hand.

But before he could even touch Lisa's hand, the next moment, this man stepped forward, slapped him across the face, and then kicked him out of the bar.

"Fiancée? You must have a death wish, daring to make a move on Noah's woman. You're asking for it!" The man stared at Tyrell coldly.

"Now get lost!"

"Get lost? Is this how you run a business, randomly beating up customers and then kicking them out?" Tyrell was furious, and besides, Lisa was still inside.

Earlier, Lisa had agreed to come in for drinks, and in Tyrell's mind, there was a good chance he could get Lisa into bed tonight, so he definitely didn't want to leave just like that.

Footsteps approached, and Lisa walked out.

"Lisa!" Tyrell's eyes lit up as he walked toward Lisa, reaching out to grab her.

The man kicked out again, lightning fast, and Tyrell was sent flying once more, landing heavily on the ground.

"Are you deaf? Can't understand what people say? I told you to get lost, and you still want to disrespect Noah's woman!" the man said coldly.

Lisa lowered her head, glanced at Tyrell, and her gaze turned icy. "Tyrell, I've just made up my mind. I won't agree to marry you. From now on, you can forget about it."

"After the divorce, I won't marry anyone else either. In my heart, there's only Noah."

With that, she walked out of the bar, hailed a taxi, and quickly left.

"How can this be? Why did Lisa suddenly reject me?" Tyrell sat on the ground, stunned, unable to process what had just happened.

In his mind, marrying Lisa was inevitable. As long as he was willing to put in the effort to please her, Lisa would definitely be moved by him.

But in the end, Lisa suddenly refused to marry him.

...

In the taxi.

At some point, it had started to drizzle.

Lisa sat in the back seat, looking out at the hazy world through the window, her gaze somewhat distant.

Just now in the bar, she had thought about a lot of things.

First, Lisa admitted that she liked Noah, deeply loved Noah—the exact reason for divorcing him.

By divorcing, Noah would have a better future. Lisa was doing this for his own good.

Whether or not Noah had been with that woman at the hotel, Lisa still loved him deeply.

Second, since they were getting divorced, Lisa felt there was no need for her to remarry. She might as well stay single for life.

Because even if she remarried, a new husband could never give her that feeling Noah gave her, and life would be very unhappy.

So she might as well stay single for life. With her current income, she could support herself for the rest of her life.

"If that's the case, then after the divorce, I'll just live alone!"

Lisa took a deep breath. "From now on, I'll focus entirely on work and not think about anything else. Honey, I hope you have a better future."

...

"Mr. Anderson, it's raining!"

Clementine turned on the wipers and slowed down, looking at the queue of cars ahead.

This was rush hour in Silverlight City, with congested roads, heavy traffic, and noise everywhere.

Noah nodded and opened the window. The cold wind mixed with rain hit his face, instantly sobering him up and clearing his head.

He suddenly thought about how Lisa kept saying she wasn't good enough for him. Originally, Noah thought this "not good enough" was just an excuse Lisa made up because she wanted a divorce.

But Noah understood Lisa—she rarely lied.

"Which means 'not good enough' is probably something Lisa genuinely believes. But why would she say that?"

Noah looked thoughtful, recalling everything that had happened since coming to Silverlight City, trying to find clues.

He suddenly thought of something he hadn't considered deeply—the Harris family's destruction was very sudden.

The Harris family was an established family with backing from powerful clans. Even Noah didn't think he could bring them down by himself.

But they were suddenly destroyed, very strange, as if some unstoppable force had descended from the sky.

What kind of power could destroy the Harris family so quickly, despite the pressure from the backing dynasties?

Even the dynasties themselves might not have such fast operational efficiency!

Thinking of this, Noah's eyes narrowed slightly, as if he had thought of something.

Then he thought of another strange thing - Atticus had come to Silverlight City without even giving him a heads up.

Normally, Noah was the future head of the Anderson family, and Atticus was the director of Eagleland's Eastern Financial Management Center, Noah's subordinate.

For him to come to Noah's city without even saying hello—did that make sense?

For Atticus to do this, there was one possibility: some important person had come to Silverlight City, or something major had happened that made Atticus bypass Noah entirely without even reporting to him.

"Important person... major event..."

Noah's thoughts went back to the phone call from Xavier on the highway, saying he had completed the family task and that his parents might come looking for him.

"Could they have come? Then found Lisa, told her about my family situation, and then Lisa wants a divorce, saying she's not good enough for me?"

Noah's eyes flashed with insight, as if he had figured it all out.

If this was true, then everything made sense.

Family members came over, the Harris family was destroyed, Atticus suddenly came to Silverlight City, Lisa wanted a divorce...

Thinking of this, Noah immediately took out his phone and called Xavier.

At the Silverlight City guesthouse, Xavier's phone rang. He picked it up, looked at it, then said to Jade sitting on the sofa, "Mrs. Anderson, it's Mr. Anderson calling."

"Looks like he's figured it out too."

Jade smiled slightly, as if everything was under her control. "Answer it."

"Yes!"

Xavier nodded and answered the call, saying with a smile, "Mr. Anderson."

"Did you make Lisa divorce me?" Noah's voice came through, with a hint of coldness.

Xavier's whole body trembled, then he looked at Jade.

"Tell him the truth."

Jade said calmly.

"Alright."

Xavier spoke, "Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Anderson has come to Silverlight City. All of this was Mrs. Anderson's idea."

"My mom is here?"

Noah was stunned.

"Yes, she just arrived a few days ago. She's currently at the Silverlight City guesthouse," Xavier said.

"Give her the phone, I want to talk to her."

"Okay."

Xavier handed the phone to Jade.
