Chapter 298 Reclining Dragon Hall

Hearing Louis's words, Bodhi clenched his teeth and finally said, "Alright, from now on, I acknowledge Ethan's crew. I recognize him as my boss."

"And if Ethan needs anything or has any orders, I'll do whatever he asks!"

"Good, that's all I needed to hear!" Louis grinned, glanced at Noah, and then waved his hand. "Alright, everyone, let's roll!"

With that, Louis led his two dozen subordinates out of Nightfall Bar.

Once Louis left, Nightfall Bar fell into silence.

After a minute, Bodhi and Daisy finally reacted.

Louis just left like that? The two of them felt like they were dreaming.

They had always been genuinely afraid of Louis, but they had no power to resist him.

In their minds, they thought Nightfall Bar was as good as gone today.

But the outcome was completely unexpected.

"We really have to thank you, Noah!" Bodhi looked at Noah. "Your casual suggestion actually made Louis agree. Without your idea, Nightfall Bar would be finished."

"Noah, you're like our lucky star!" Daisy was also very happy, patting Noah on the shoulder.

"We really hit the jackpot. Just one suggestion from you saved Nightfall Bar! Looks like we need to stick around you more to soak up some of your good luck!"

Noah shook his head and smiled without saying a word.

After that, Noah had a few more drinks at the bar, and when he was slightly tipsy, he went to a private room to take a nap.

In the evening, after sobering up, Noah drove home.

'Looks like I need to come to the bar more often to relax a bit. Life's pressures are pretty high,' Noah thought to himself as he drove.

At 8 PM, in the Green Lake Restaurant's Reclining Dragon Hall in Oceanbridge City.

A large painting hung on the wall, depicting a dragon coiled by a mountain, its eyes half-closed.

The painting was so lifelike, showing faint dragon scales. Even with its eyes half-closed, the dragon exuded an aura of dominance that made anyone who looked at it feel a bit uneasy.

The long table in the private room was filled with people.

A middle-aged woman sat at the head of the table. Judging by her appearance, it was Wren!

On either side of her sat people of similar age, both men and women.

These were the high-ranking members of the Winchester family.

At the end of the long table sat some young people in their twenties, all direct descendants of the Winchester family.

Today, the Winchester family had gathered in Reclining Dragon Hall to hold a celebration banquet, celebrating their logistics partnership with the Anderson Group.

"Well done, Wren! With this contract, our family's future growth will be like a rocket!" A man with a mustache said.

"That's right! This is a huge opportunity for us! Wren, your ability to seize this opportunity is impressive!"

"Under your leadership, our family is bound to flourish!"

"The main credit for this logistics partnership with the Anderson Group goes to Wren!"

The high-ranking members of the Winchester family showered Wren with praise.

The younger members at the end of the table looked at Wren with admiration and envy.

Wren enjoyed this feeling.

As a woman who married into the family, it wasn't easy for her to sit in the position of the family head, so she had to do everything well.

Only by doing so would the family elders support her in this position.

Securing the logistics partnership with the Anderson Group was, in her opinion, the biggest and most important achievement since she became the family head. It was a turning point for the Winchester family!

This partnership could potentially allow the Winchester family to surpass the Benson family in three to four years and become one of the top four families!

And in another twenty to thirty years, they might even reach the threshold of the elite families!

As Wren fantasized about the bright future of the Winchester family, she humbly smiled, "Thank you all for your praise. These are just my duties. And I didn't do much for the logistics partnership with the Anderson Group; it was that young man Noah who approached us."

"Yes, we must treat Noah with respect!"

"That's right, this logistics partnership is crucial for our family's future. We can't afford any mistakes!"

"Exactly, Noah is likely someone from the Anderson Group. We mustn't offend him! We need to cooperate with him and meet any of his demands!"

The high-ranking members repeatedly reminded Wren.

"Don't worry, everyone. I know what to do. I'll treat Noah with the utmost respect," Wren smiled slightly. "Is everyone here?"

"Gideon is still not here!" someone replied.

Wren looked around the long table and realized Gideon was missing. She shook her head helplessly. "That boy, I've spoiled him too much! He's late for the family celebration banquet. When he gets here, I'll give him a good lesson!"

Just as she finished speaking, the door to the private room opened, and a young man walked in. It was Gideon.

But his face was a bit gloomy.

"Gideon's here!"

"Gideon, come sit down! You're late for the celebration banquet!"

"Today is a great day. We've secured a logistics partnership with the Anderson Group!"

The people at the long table spoke up one after another.

"Gideon, why are you late for the celebration banquet?" Wren asked with a blank expression.

With all the family elders present, if she didn't discipline Gideon, it would make her look bad as the family head.

"Have I spoiled you too much? How dare you be late? Do you realize your mistake?"

Wren continued, giving Gideon an excuse.

As long as Gideon admitted his mistake, Wren could scold him a bit, and the matter would be over.

Gideon's face suddenly turned dark, and he shouted coldly, "Wren, do you have the nerve to ask if I realize my mistake? I want to ask you, do you realize your mistake?!"

Gideon's words were like a thunderclap, plunging the entire private room into dead silence.

After a full five seconds.

"Gideon, what did you call me?" Wren asked in disbelief.

"Gideon, you're being disrespectful! Wren is your mother, and you dare to call her by her name!"

"Such rebellion!"

"Apologize immediately!"

Several family elders slammed the table and glared at Gideon.

"Apologize? Why should I apologize!" Gideon said, "Wren, you have betrayed the Winchester family. You don't deserve to be the family head!"

"Outrageous! Outrageous!" Wren was furious. "Gideon, are you rebelling? I am your mother. I raised you, and you address me like this?"

"And under my leadership, the Winchester family has been thriving. Now, we've secured a logistics partnership with the Anderson Group, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! How have I betrayed the Winchester family?"

Wren's eyes filled with tears. Being publicly ridiculed by her own son, she was both angry and heartbroken.
