Chapter 241 Lisa is so Pitiful

Jasmine frowned, "Noah, toss that sack in the trunk, you're getting the car all dirty."

Noah glanced back.

George dumped the sack right on the back seat. It was filthy, leaving dirt and dust everywhere, and a faint, unpleasant smell started to fill the car.

"Never mind. This car's only worth a few grand. Why are you so uptight?" George didn't care at all. As he finished speaking, he suddenly lifted his head and sneezed.

"The air in Oceanbridge City is terrible. My nose gets all stuffed up as soon as I get here. It's nothing like the fresh air back in the countryside." George shook his head in discontent, rubbing his nose and spitting in the car.

Noah's brow furrowed, his eyes growing cold.

"What are you staring at?" Seeing Noah's gaze, George snapped, "What's the big deal about spitting in your car?"

"Yeah, no big deal at all!" Jasmine chimed in, "It's just spit. Your car's a piece of junk anyway. Why are you so worked up? As if this car were worth a million bucks!"

Noah turned back and started the car, he didn't say another word, but his expression grew colder, and his dislike for George and Jasmine deepened.

An hour later, Noah drove up to Summit Retreat Oasis.

"Wow, these houses... so gorgeous!" Jasmine gaped at the luxurious villas outside the window.

Growing up in the countryside, she had rarely seen even regular apartment buildings, let alone such high-end villas.

"I can't believe you live in a place like this," Jasmine looked at Noah. "I saw BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes parked outside these villas. Aren't you embarrassed driving such a cheap car around here?"

"It's my money, my car. What's there to be embarrassed about?" Noah's face remained expressionless.

"Jasmine, you know what," George spoke up, "I've heard from relatives that this villa belongs to Lisa. She landed a big project, and her company provided this villa for her. It's worth millions!"

"So that's it. Looks like Noah's living here thanks to Lisa's success," Jasmine smirked, her tone mocking.

Soon, they arrived at the villa's entrance.

Daniel was already outside to greet them.

"George, long time no see!" Daniel smiled as George got out of the car.

"Yeah, it's been almost ten years." George nodded, smiling as he looked at the villa with envy. "Daniel, you're living the high life now! Unlike me, still stuck in the old house in the village."

"It's all my daughter's effort. Without her, I wouldn't be living in such a nice place." Daniel felt proud but tried to appear humble.

"Hello, Daniel!" Jasmine got out of the car and greeted Daniel.

"Jasmine!" Daniel's eyes lit up, "You've grown so beautiful over the years!"

Jasmine blushed.

Noah locked the car and walked straight into the house, not interested in thei chat.

Seeing Noah leave, George frowned, he turned to Daniel and complained, "Daniel, your son-in-law is a bit rude, isn't he? He drops us off and doesn't even invite us in for a coffee."

"George, Noah is just like that. He's not very polite. You'll get used to it." Daniel forced a smile, cursing Noah in his mind.

"Jasmine, have you found a boyfriend yet?" Daniel turned to Jasmine.

"Not yet." Jasmine shook her head, "My boyfriend has to have a house, a car, and make at least ten grand a month. Only then would he be worthy of me. But I haven't found my prince charming yet. I believe he'll come along someday!"

While speaking, her eyes sparkled with hope.

"That's the spirit!" Daniel praised, "I don't know much about dating, but I do have some experience. Whoever you choose to be your boyfriend, don't find someone like Noah. He does nothing all day. Recently, he said he was going to deliver food, and I was relieved, thinking he finally had some ambition. But it only lasted a few days. I haven't seen him deliver food since. He has no perseverance! He'll never amount to anything."

"Daniel, are you saying Noah doesn't have a job?" Jasmine's eyes widened in disbelief.

"That's right, he's unemployed." Daniel sighed.

"How can that be?" Jasmine covered her mouth in shock, "If he's unemployed, who supports him?"

"Lisa, of course. She works hard every day to support that trash," Daniel said helplessly.

"Oh my God, poor Lisa!" Jasmine's eyes filled with pity. "I will never marry someone like Noah. I don't want to end up like Lisa."

"You make sense," Daniel nodded, "Come on, let's go inside. No need to stand out here."

Daniel led them inside and called out, "Chloe, we have guests! Bring some tea!"

Chloe brought the tea and set it on the table.

"Daniel, you're living a high life! You even have a maid!" George gave Daniel a thumbs up, clearly envious.

"Dad, look at that golden bull! It's so beautiful!" Jasmine pointed to the center of the living room, where a lifelike golden bull was displayed.

To show off in front of George, Daniel had brought out the golden bull and a golden dragon sculpture from his bedroom.

George walked over and touched the bull. "Daniel, is this bull gold-plated?"

"Gold-plated? No way!" Daniel smiled proudly, "It's solid gold!"

"Solid gold!" George's eyes widened in disbelief.

"How much is it worth?" George quickly asked.

"About seven million dollars," Daniel said nonchalantly.

"Seven million dollars!" George's legs gave out, and he sat down, trembling. "A seven-million-dollar golden bull! That's insane!"

Seven million dollars was an unimaginable amount for him.

"Daniel, where did you get this bull?" George asked.

Seeing George's expression, Daniel's pride grew even more, he explained, "A real estate developer gave it to us as a housewarming gift to curry favor with my daughter Lisa."
