Chapter 301 Noah's Good Luck

Bodhi poured a glass of whiskey, and placed it in front of Noah.

Daisy, sitting casually next to Noah with her arm around his neck, laughed and said, "Noah, you know what? The good luck you brought to our bar didn't just stop at yesterday!"

From this close, Noah could catch a whiff of Daisy's pleasant scent.

He glanced sideways at her. Daisy's jacket was open, revealing her ample chest, which moved slightly as she spoke.

"What else happened?" Noah asked, his expression unchanged but curious.

"The first thing is that Louis sent word last night. He said that the five bars on the three streets around Red Flag Road are now under Bodhi's control!" Daisy said with a bright smile. "These bars used to belong to Lucas. Bodhi's status has definitely risen!"

Noah looked at Bodhi. No wonder he seemed so pleased.

It made sense. Bodhi used to work under Lucas, and after switching to Ethan's side, he probably wouldn't have been given much importance.

But now, his status had not only been maintained but had actually increased, so naturally, Bodhi was happy.

"Congrats, Bodhi," Noah said with a smile, raising his glass for a sip.

"Thanks, but it's all thanks to you, Noah," Bodhi said, taking a drink and smiling. "If it weren't for your suggestion yesterday, this wouldn't have happened! Daisy's right, Noah, you're our bar's lucky charm!"

Noah smiled but didn't say anything more.

Bodhi's rise in status was likely because Louis suspected there was some connection between Noah and Bodhi, which led to this outcome.

"Noah, now that Bodhi's status has improved, you can't be so nonchalant anymore!" Daisy pouted, a bit dissatisfied. "You need to show some respect, like me! Your tone is really too casual! If you were in the underworld, talking like that would definitely get you beaten up!"

"Daisy, Noah isn't part of our world, so there's no need to hold him to that standard," Bodhi said, waving his hand with a smile. "Besides, I think it's great that Noah speaks to me as an equal."

Hearing this, Daisy didn't push further but still said, "Noah, even though you're skilled, your emotional intelligence is really low. You don't know how to talk. If you were in the underworld, you'd probably end up dead in the streets in no time."

"Dead in the streets?" Noah scoffed, unconcerned. "In Oceanbridge City, there's probably no one in the underworld who could make that happen."

"You're full of it!" Daisy didn't believe him at all. "Just look at Ethan. If he wanted you dead in the streets, it would only take a word. And Mason, with all his powerful subordinates. There are plenty of people in Oceanbridge City's underworld who could make that happen."

"Daisy, enough! Noah's young and it's normal for him to speak with some pride. Why are you so relentless?" Bodhi frowned.

"He doesn't understand the ways of the underworld, but you don't need to lecture him," Bodhi added.

Daisy stuck out her tongue. "Bodhi, I'm just trying to help! I want Noah to know that he needs to be more tactful and aware of his surroundings. I mean well! Noah, I hope what I said didn't upset you."

She looked at Noah with big eyes, genuinely worried that she had offended him.

"No worries," Noah said calmly, not bothered at all.

'He must be upset but just not showing it,' Daisy thought to herself, feeling a bit guilty. 'I shouldn't have been so harsh.'

Trying to change the subject, Daisy said, "Noah, you know what? There's another piece of good news you brought us!"

"What good news?" Noah asked.

"Bodhi, show Noah. It'll blow his mind!" Daisy said with a grin.

Bodhi shot Daisy a look. "Daisy, you say Noah doesn't know how to talk, but you're the one being disrespectful. What do you mean 'blow his mind'?"

As he spoke, Bodhi pulled an invitation from his pocket and placed it on the table.

The invitation was palm-sized, dark green, with an image of a mansion printed on it. In the bottom right corner were the words "From Ethan."

"What's this?" Noah asked, looking at the invitation.

"Ethan sent this, inviting me to The Luca Mansion for his succession ceremony," Bodhi explained with a smile. "Apparently, among all the factions left from Lucas, I'm the only one who received an invitation. This is a huge stroke of luck!"

"It sure is. I feel like all this good luck is thanks to you, Noah!" Daisy said with a laugh.

"It definitely is," Noah said with a slight smile. It seemed that word of his connection with Bodhi had reached Ethan, which was why he sent the invitation.

"The ceremony is tomorrow. Noah, this invitation allows me to bring two guests. One is Daisy, and I'd like you to be the other. What do you say?" Bodhi asked with a smile. "After all, without your good luck, I wouldn't have gained so much."

At this moment, Bodhi was starting to believe it was indeed Noah's luch that brought him him these opportunities.

"Noah, let's go together!" Daisy said, shaking Noah's arm with a grin. "All the big shots of the underworld will be there, especially Mason. I've heard so many stories about him and even admire him a bit!"

"Noah, attending this ceremony will broaden your horizons. Even if you're not part of the underworld, meeting these people could be beneficial," Daisy added.

Noah stroked his chin and then said, "Alright, I'll go."

"Great!" Bodhi nodded.

After that, Noah stayed at the bar for a while before heading home in the evening.

At eight o'clock, Noah returned to Summit Retreat Oasis.

When he got home, he found someone else there—Daniel.

Daniel was sitting on the couch, legs crossed, sipping coffee.

Lisa was on the other side, working on her laptop.

"What are you doing here?" Noah asked, giving Daniel a sidelong glance.

Seeing Noah, Daniel's expression changed slightly. He uncrossed his legs and looked a bit uneasy.

Daniel then turned his gaze to Lisa.

"Noah, Larry sold his villa at Summit Retreat Oasis, so Dad has nowhere to stay and moved back in," Lisa explained, closing her laptop.
