Chapter 97 Our House
"Our new house!"
Lisa's eyes lit up. Noah had mentioned buying a house before, but Lisa had never asked for specific details.
She hadn't expected Noah to take her to their new house.
"Where is the new house?" Lisa asked curiously, her beautiful face filled with curiosity.
"At Golden Summit Peak," Noah started the car.
"Honey, it's late, but you're still bragging?" Lisa rolled her eyes at Noah and coquettishly said, "Tell me, where is it exactly? No more bragging!"
"I'm serious, I'm not bragging," Noah said helplessly.
"Hmph, forget it then!"
Lisa pouted and fell silent.
The car drove out of Elegant Haven, made a turn, and headed toward Golden Summit Peak. Before long, they arrived at the entrance of the Golden Summit Peak mountain road.
"Honey, please stop the car!"
Lisa's face turned pale. "If you keep going, we'll actually go up to Golden Summit Peak. It's a private villa, and we can't just go in!"
Noah didn't say anything. The car continued along the mountain road and drove up.
Before long, they reached the entrance of the villa area.
Lisa felt embarrassed and lowered her head as she looked at the black electric gate at the entrance and the serious-looking security guard standing there. Her heart raced. This was embarrassing, and they were definitely going to be kicked out by the security guard.
"Let's turn back, honey," Lisa blushed, whispering to Noah, "It'll be so embarrassing if we get sent back!"
But at that moment, the security guard immediately opened the electric gate and saluted loudly when he saw Noah.
"Welcome home, Sir!"
"Welcome home?"
Lisa was dumbfounded when she heard that. "Honey, what did he just say? Did I hear it right?"
"You did." Noah smiled. The car drove into the villa.
"It's impossible. I must have heard it wrong. The security guard must have mistaken us for someone else and opened the gate." Lisa shook her head and pleaded, "Honey, let's go back. This is a private villa, and if we trespass, we'll definitely get into trouble."
"I'm here with you. It's fine. Look, we're home," Noah parked the car outside a villa, got out, and walked over to the passenger side to open the door and hold Lisa's hand.
"Look, this is our new house," Noah pointed to the villa in front of them.
The villa was located in the center of Golden Summit Peak halfway up the mountain. It was a four-story European-style building, with a large expanse of bamboo behind it and clear springs flowing around. Inside the villa, there was a rooftop swimming pool with clear and sparkling water. Next to it was a garden, with various flowers swaying in the wind, vibrant and colorful.
"Isn't this the villa a mysterious billionaire bought for 87 million dollars?" Lisa looked at the villa, feeling a bit angry. "Honey, let's stop kidding around. We can’t afford this kind of villa. And it’s bad enough that we sneaked in here already. We should go home quickly!"
She turned around, wanting to leave.
Noah held onto Lisa and looked at her. "Believe me, Lisa, this villa is ours. I wasn't joking."
"Honey, really, this isn't funny at all..." Lisa was on the verge of tears. "We could never afford such a nice villa on our income! I know our relatives sometimes mock you, and it upsets you, but you shouldn't do this!
"You've already bought two cars for the family, which is already amazing. You really don't need to do this. Leave the house to me, okay? I'm the head of the poor district now, and I'm sure I can buy a house within two or three years! I don't want you to be under too much pressure and end up like this!"
Noah smiled. Oh, his silly wife.
"Here, try opening the door with this." Noah took out a key and placed it in Lisa's hand.
Lisa was taken aback, looking at Noah. She saw sincerity, confidence, and a strong sense of tenderness and love in his eyes.
In that instant, Lisa suddenly felt that Noah wasn't joking with her.
"I'll give it a try, but if the door doesn't open, we'll go home." Lisa gritted her teeth, gathered her courage, and walked to the front door with the key in her hand.
She inserted the key into the lock and turned it gently.
Click!
They heard a crisp sound, and the door unlocked.
The villa gate slowly opened.
"It really opened." Lisa stood there in disbelief, holding the key.
Noah pulled Lisa, who was still in shock, with him and entered the villa.
Inside the villa, Lisa regained her composure and looked at the key in her hand.
"Honey, this key isn't... yours, is it?"
In the next moment, she froze.
Because she saw a wedding photo hanging on the middle wall of the villa.
It was their wedding photo.
Lisa leaned into Noah's arms with a smile on her face.
"Honey, is this villa... really ours?"
Lisa looked at the wedding photo, unable to hold back her tears any longer.
"Why are you crying?" Noah hurriedly wiped away Lisa's tears.
"Don't cry, Lisa. You should be happy! If you cry, I’ll feel miserable too."
"I’m crying because I'm happy... sob."
Lisa's crying grew louder.
"I really didn't expect that this mansion would be ours, Noah..."
"Didn't you say you wanted to experience what it would be like to walk in Golden Summit Peak? So I bought it. We can walk here every day." Noah smiled.
"Take a look at the interior design of the mansion. Are you satisfied?"
"I am!"
With tears in her eyes, Lisa nodded, her voice choked. "This style is exactly what I envisioned for the decoration."
She knew that Noah must have put a lot of effort into the decoration. These were all things that Lisa had mentioned before. The style and lighting were exactly what she wanted for their future home.
"I’m glad you're satisfied!" Noah breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry, Noah. I was just suspecting whether this key was from you..." Lisa was about to continue, but Noah gently covered her thin lips.
"Don’t be silly, I don't care about such trivial matters. You don't need to apologize."
"Mm."
Lisa nodded and asked the biggest doubt in her heart.
"Noah, this mansion costs 87 million. Where did you get that money?"
"It's a secret, but I guarantee you, honey, the money is all from legal sources." Noah smiled.
"That's good."
Lisa breathed a sigh of relief. She had been worried that Noah might have gotten the mansion under suspicious circumstances and would end up in trouble because of it.
"Let's move in starting tomorrow," Noah said.
"Should we invite our relatives and classmates over for drinks for the housewarming?" Lisa asked.
