Chapter 213 A Fifty Million Dollar Protection Fee

"What? He wants to pay a protection fee of one million dollars?" Jack was dumbfounded. "That kid must be out of his mind. He beat up my people and wants to pay the protection fee? Besides, can he afford one million dollars?"

"No way he can afford one million dollars." Baldy shook his head. "Even if this kid is wealthy enough to pay, would he actually do it? He's obviously just playing with us.

"What do we do now, Jack?" Baldy asked.

"Tell that kid to wait, I'll go over right now!"

"Alright!" Baldy turned his gaze toward Noah. "Kid, Jack wants you to wait."

"Then I'll wait," Noah responded calmly.

"Noah, do you want to hide for a while?" Grace walked over, her face full of worry. "The customers are all talking about it. Jack is the boss around here. If he comes here, you'll definitely be in trouble. If you don't want to hide, let's call the police!"

"No need, I'll wait here." Noah waved his hand, completely unconcerned.

"Um... alright!"

Grace didn't say much more when she saw how determined Noah was. She stood aside nervously.

Fifteen minutes later, the sound of engines could be heard as four vans pulled up.

The doors opened, revealing a group of young hooligans holding iron rods, machetes, and steel pipes with all kinds of colored hair. There seemed to be over twenty of them.

Leading the group was a man with an earring in his ear. His upper body was bare and there was a tattoo of a dragon on his shoulder. He looked fierce and intimidating, which made it difficult for people to look directly at him.

The customers' expressions changed and filled with fear when they saw this man.

"Jack from Orchard Breeze Avenue is here!"

"This situation is going to escalate!"

Then, their gaze shifted toward Noah, looking at him as if they were looking at a dead man.

This kid had been oblivious to danger and had injured so many of Jack's men. Would Jack let him off easily?

"Jack!" Baldy approached with a surprised expression, immediately pointing at Noah. "This is the kid who injured our men and demanded to pay a one million dollar protection fee."

Jack's cold eyes turned toward Noah. "Who do you think you are, kid? You dared to lay a hand on my men?"
He came up to find out about Noah.

The group of thugs that Jack brought with him surrounded Noah.

As soon as Jack gave the order, they would take action.

"I'm not involved in any of this," Noah said calmly, with his hands behind his back.

"Hmm?"

Jack frowned, he hadn’t expected Noah to respond this way.

"Since you've injured so many of my men, tell me, how are we going to settle this?" Jack asked, puzzled.
If Jack were his usual self, he would have immediately attacked and taught him a painful lesson.
But this young man was too calm, and he couldn't be sure if there was someone powerful behind him.

"What can we do? I'll give you ten million dollars in protection fees. Isn't that enough to treat your men?" Noah asked, perplexed.

"Kid, you’re offering us ten million? You're humiliating us!" Baldy trembled with anger, gritting his teeth.

Jack's face turned completely dark.

"Kid, a man can be killed but not insulted. I advise you to watch your words. Even if you have someone backing you up, do you think you can insult us like this? Do you think we're soft targets?" Jack warned.

"Insult? I haven't insulted anyone. I really want to pay the protection fee," Noah chuckled.

"Alright, since you’re here, and you’re the leader of Orchard Breeze Avenue, ten million is too little. I’ll show you some respect and offer fifty million as protection fee!" Noah said cheerfully.

"You little punk!" Baldy became furious and wanted to rush forward to teach Noah a lesson.

Fifty million dollars for protection fee was almost half a billion. Did he think they were idiots?

Would a sane person pay fifty million dollars for protection?

And could this kid actually come up with fifty million dollars?

It would be remarkable if he could come up with fifty thousand dollars at such a young age!

This was clearly a blatant insult.

"Baldy, don't do anything for now!" Jack raised his hand to stop Baldy, then turned his gaze to Noah.

"So, kid, you want to insult us and you want to pay a fifty million protection fee, is that right? Fine, here's the card, make the transfer now!" Jack handed Noah a card.

"If you don't transfer fifty million to me, I'll rip your mouth apart tonight! You've got some nerve trying to insult others. At least say something that makes sense!" Jack threatened.

Noah remained expressionless as he took the card and started to make the transfer.

"The kid wouldn't actually transfer the money, would he?"

"No way, that's fifty million. How can someone so young come up with that kind of money?"

"Yeah, it’s fifty million! That's an astronomical figure!"

"He's lying!" Baldy sneered, looking down on Noah. "He's lying so well!"

Suddenly, Jack's phone rang.

He picked it up and his face went pale.

"Your card ending in 3782 has received a cross-transfer of $50,000,000 at 21:47, and the balance is now $50,800,096..."

"Fi... Fifty million?"

Jack rubbed his eyes, thinking he must have seen a wrong number.

This was fifty million dollars!

You see, he only earned a little over one million dollars a year.

He could only earn fifty million in the next thirty to forty years!

"What?"

Baldy also stood still in shock when he saw the incoming message on Jack's phone.

"Jack, could this be a scam message?" Baldy asked in uncertainty. He hadn't seen this much money in his whole life.

"It might be a scam message. This guy might've used a fake number." Jack nodded. "Messages can be fake, but the bank balance cannot be faked!"

Saying that, he opened the mobile banking app and saw the balance, and this time, he was truly dumbfounded, his mouth wide open in surprise.

Bank balance: $50,800,096!

"I... I really got fifty million!"

Jack's whole body trembled with excitement. Now that he had fifty million, there was no need to continue on the dangerous path and be constantly worried about being caught by the authorities.

He lived a life of crime for the money, after all.

With this money, he could easily buy a villa, a luxury car, and live a comfortable life for the rest of his days!

"It’s really fifty million!"

Baldy also looked at the bank balance, swallowing, his eyes gleaming with greed and desire.

"I sent you the fifty million protection fee." At this moment, Noah calmly spoke up.

"Received." Jack nodded. As he looked at Noah's gaze, it suddenly became complicated.

This guy hadn't humiliated him and had transferred fifty million to him.

Wait a minute!

Jack's eyelid twitched suddenly. This young man was so young, but he had casually transferred fifty million to him and even acted so nonchalant afterwards.

This nonchalance wasn't faked, it was real. It was as if this fifty million meant nothing to him.

If fifty million meant nothing to him, this young man's background and wealth must be terrifying.

He could easily take out fifty million, so his family fortune must be at least in the billions!

Could he afford to provoke someone like that?

In this instant, Jack suddenly felt that the fifty million had become a hot potato.

Noah had dared to give it to him, but he didn’t dare accept it!
