Chapter 262 Why Aren't You Leaving Yet?
"Noah!" Anna turned to Noah, her face a mix of emotions, anger flickering in her eyes.
She had liked Noah, but now, that affection was gone in an instant.
Because Noah was a liar, a fraud from start to finish!
The car wasn't bought with his own money.
The Armani suit wasn't his own money either; it was all funded by the "I'm a Super Rich" show.
If he lied about these things, then claiming to be from Riverton was obviously a lie too.
"He might really be just as Zack said, originally just a delivery guy, a person from the bottom of society."
Disappointment surged in her heart.
It wasn't that Anna looked down on people from the bottom of society; she despised Noah for lying and deceiving.
"I can't believe you're a liar!" Riley sighed, looking at Noah with a gaze that had lost all its previous warmth, now cold and distant.
"You're so young and already lying! You even lied to me about owning property in Riverton! A delivery guy like you would be lucky to afford a bathroom in Riverton!"
"And to think I was considering you as a boyfriend for Anna."
"Mom, enough. It's over, don't say anymore." Anna shook her head, utterly disappointed in Noah.
"I saw in the documents that Noah struggled to get an invitation to the Royal Garden event," Danielle said, touching her chin.
"Clearly, Noah has a desire to climb into high society. But he doesn't realize that money alone isn't enough; you need assets and background."
"Noah thinks he can join high society with just ten million dollars. It's a pipe dream."
"But he's already deluded himself into thinking he's part of high society, so he made up lie after lie to impress us."
Zack looked at Noah coldly and said loudly, "Noah, your tricks have been exposed. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
Anna sighed softly, "Noah, maybe your logistics cooperation really is just gathering a bunch of delivery guys to seek logistics help for deliveries."
"But why did you lie to me? Wouldn't it have been better to tell the truth? I wouldn't have looked down on you."
"One lie after another, about the car, the clothes, your job as a delivery guy."
The more she spoke, the more upset Anna became.
Being deceived felt terrible.
Noah just smiled faintly. He didn't feel like explaining to these people.
But since Anna had the intention to help him with the logistics cooperation, he decided to speak up, "Anna, I didn't lie to you."
Noah's gaze was sincere, his clear eyes making Anna pause, giving her a feeling that this young man in front of her was trustworthy.
"Noah, you really didn't?" Anna bit her lip, her big eyes looking at Noah.
Thinking back, she felt that someone who would act so bravely must have good character.
Would someone with such good character lie?
"No," Noah said.
"Hahaha, Noah, at this point, can you stop denying it?" Zack laughed:
"Anna's naive, so you can fool her! But the evidence is right here. Do you think you can clear your name with just your words?"
"Alright, Noah, please leave my house. The Edward family doesn't welcome liars," Danielle said coldly.
"Noah, you should go." Riley immediately added, "Your character is highly questionable. I despise liars the most. After you leave, I advise you not to contact my daughter Anna or disturb her life. If I find out, I won't be polite to you."
"Mom, why don't you let Noah explain?" Anna tugged at Riley's sleeve. "I have a feeling Noah isn't a liar."
"A feeling? The evidence is right here. Does your feeling matter?" Riley sneered.
"And Noah admitted he participated in the 'I'm a Super Rich' show, and that Ally was the reporter following him. The documents even have his photos! So what else could Noah be but a liar?"
"I'm even starting to suspect that the thief at Fortune Plaza that day was called by Noah. They staged a rescue to get close to you and climb up to the Edward family."
"Alright, enough talking!" Danielle said impatiently, waving her hand.
"Why waste so much time on a small-time nobody? Anna, you are not to contact him again."
Then he turned his cold gaze to Noah. "And you, Noah, I'll let you off for deceiving Anna this time. But you are not to contact her again or disturb her life. You don't even have the right to step into the Edward Mansion, understand?"
"Do you think you can join high society? Look at yourself. Do you have the means?"
"That's all I have to say. Noah, why aren't you leaving?"
Noah shook his head slightly. "I was going to explain everything, but since you all feel this way, I won't bother."
With that, Noah turned and walked out of the villa.
"Noah!" Anna shouted, "If you want to explain, then explain! Don't leave! I don't believe you're a liar!"
Danielle pulled Anna back, mocking, "Explain? What's there to explain? The evidence is overwhelming; he's a liar!"
"But I feel something's off. Noah isn't that kind of person." Anna was anxious.
"Anna, you're too naive. It's normal to be fooled by his sweet talk." Zack grinned. "If you still don't believe it, look at this evidence. There are photos, texts, and videos. Zack may be a bit of a playboy, but I'm not unreasonable. Noah is indeed a liar."
With that, Zack took out his phone.
"Take another look, so we don't wrong an innocent person."
Danielle and Riley also looked over.
At that moment, Zack's phone chimed with a Facebook notification.
Zack looked at it, stunned. "How is this possible!"
A message appeared:
[You have been removed from the group chat (I'm a Super Rich Sponsors)!]
"No way, I got kicked out of the group!" Zack's face turned grim. He quickly searched his contacts for someone with a shark avatar.
That was a high-ranking official at Facebook Live and the chief sponsor of the "I'm a Super Rich" show.
All the other sponsors had him as a friend, and he was the group chat admin.
