Chapter 242 The Villa's Mistress

"Lisa's really something now!" George's face was full of shock. "Even real estate developers are sending her gifts and trying to get on her good side!"

"It's nothing, she did land a billion-dollar project, so it's no surprise developers are flocking to me," Daniel said with a grin.Upon hearing this amount, George and Jasmine both gasped.

They could hardly wrap their heads around what a billion-dollar project entailed.

Seeing their expressions, Daniel's smile grew even wider.

Today, aside from Noah embarrassing him earlier, Daniel felt respected in front of his relatives.

"Lisa's only two years older than me, and she's already so accomplished," Jasmine murmured in shock, a hint of jealousy in her eyes.

Then she shook her head. "Life is fair. She's successful in her career but failed in marriage, ending up with someone like Noah. Maybe nobody can have it all."

Feeling respected in front of his relatives, Daniel decided to change the subject. "George, I heard you came here to help Jasmine find a job in the city?"

"Yeah!" George nodded, "The wages in our town are too low, only two to three thousand dollars per month, so the family decided to send Jasmine to the city."

"It's not just the low wages; there are hardly any wealthy people in our town. Oceanbridge City is different. On my way here, I saw so many luxury cars—BMWs, Audis." Jasmine chimed in.

In her worldview, luxury cars were limited to BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes.

"There are so many wealthy people in Oceanbridge City. Given my looks and abilities, I'm sure I'll find my prince charming here, get married, and settle down in this big city."

While speaking, her eyes were full of anticipation.

"That's the spirit. Just remember, don't end up with someone like my son-in-law Noah," Daniel said with a chuckle.

"By the way, Daniel, there's something I need to ask you," George suddenly said.

"What is it? Go ahead. You're a guest here, and if I can help, I certainly will," Daniel replied generously.

"Jasmine and I just arrived in Oceanbridge City, and we don't have a place to stay yet. We didn't bring much money, so we can't afford to rent an apartment. Your villa has so many empty rooms. Could we stay here for a few months until Jasmine finds a job ?"

George smiled cautiously, "Daniel, can you agree to this?"

"Piece of cake! George, we grew up together. This is nothing," Daniel said, waving his hand. "From now on, you can stay here! No need to rent a place. Stay as long as you want! I can make the call in this house! Chloe, arrange rooms for our guests!"

George and Jasmine's eyes lit up, surprised by Daniel's generosity.

"Daniel, you're the best!" George thanked Daniel.

Jasmine, excited, started exploring the villa, curious about everything. It was her first time in a villa, and she was naturally intrigued.

Thinking about living in a multi-million-dollar villa, she was so thrilled she couldn't stop taking pictures of the living room, garden, and pool, posting them on Facebook.

[New life, new beginnings. Oceanbridge City, here I come.] Jasmine posted the photos with a caption.

Soon, comments started rolling in.

Unknown: [Wow, Jasmine, living in a villa now!]

Unknown: [So rich, living in a villa. Didn't see that coming!]

Unknown: [What a beautiful villa!]

Unknown: [This villa must be worth five or six million dollars!]

Jasmine replied: [Not mine, it's my relative's.]

Unknown: [A relative's? How long can you stay?]

Jasmine texted proudly: [My relative said I could stay as long as I want, just like it's my own home.]

Unknown: [Jealous! So you're basically the lady of the villa now!]

Unknown: [When I visit Oceanbridge City, you have to let me experience villa life!]

Jasmine replied quickly: [Of course! You're my super fan. You can stay as long as you want. There are plenty of empty rooms! We can swim and sunbathe on the terrace.]

She was all smiles, her vanity greatly satisfied, feeling like she had become the lady of the villa.

During the day, Lisa wasn't home, only Daniel, the housekeeper, and Noah, who was living there by chance.

After replying to all the comments and enjoying her bragging on Facebook, Jasmine felt quite proud.

She walked to the terrace, leaned on the railing, and admired the view of Oceanbridge City, exclaiming, "So beautiful! From here, I can almost see the entire Oceanbridge City."

Her eyes flashed as she noticed a young man lying on a bench, sunbathing with his hands behind his head.

It was Noah.

"Noah, what are you doing?" Jasmine walked over and asked.

"Sunbathing." Noah glanced at her and then looked away, clearly uninterested in talking.

Jasmine frowned, "You don't work, and you don't earn money, just laze around waiting for Lisa to support you. Doesn't your conscience bother you?"

"None of your business," Noah replied bluntly.

Jasmine's face changed, anger burning in her eyes, her disdain growing, "You're so rude! Daniel was right; I should never date someone like you! Not working, lazy, and no manners!"

"So what kind of guy are you looking for?" Noah's lips curled into a mocking smile.

"Given my looks and abilities, I want a man in Oceanbridge City with a house, a car, and a monthly income of over ten thousand dollars. Someone like you, I'd pass at first sight!" Jasmine snorted, her eyes full of arrogance.

Noah looked into the distance and said calmly,"Your appearance are really average. You should look in the mirror and see how many acne scars you have. Then weigh yourself. You're probably around 150 pounds, right? At about 5'3", 150 pounds, I really don't understand why a man in Oceanbridge City with a house, a car, and a monthly income of over ten thousand dollars would choose you when he has so many other options."

"Noah, you..." Jasmine was furious, wanting to retort but not knowing how.

Noah was right. She did weigh around 150 pounds, and her face was full of acne scars. She wasn't particularly attractive.

"As for abilities," Noah continued, sneering, "What abilities do you have? Did you graduate from college? What's your major?"

"Shut the fuck up!" Jasmine shouted, her eyebrows raised, trembling with anger.

She had only a middle school education, and the reason she dropped out wasn't because her family couldn't afford her tuition, but she got involved with a local thug and was expelled.
