Chapter 428 Luxury Bar

"Lisa, why are you crying so hard?"

Tyrell got into the car and fastened his seatbelt. Seeing Lisa's intense sobbing, he paused before breaking into a smile.

"These must be tears of joy, right? After all, that Noah guy was never good enough for you. Divorcing him is your liberation. You feel lighter now, happier—that's why you're crying, isn't it?"

Lisa looked up at Tyrell. Her crying briefly faltered before growing even more intense.

Tyrell continued, completely missing her true feelings. "Go ahead, cry it all out. Once you're done, you'll finally release all that pressure from these years and face your new life. After we get married, I can give you everything Noah could, and everything he couldn't. I'll treat you a hundred times better than he ever did."

As he spoke, Tyrell reached out to wipe the tears from Lisa's face. She quickly pulled away.

His expression darkened slightly, but he withdrew his hand and forced a smile. "I understand your hesitation—we've known each other for less than an hour. I'm a PhD graduate, not some lowlife like Noah. I have standards. Since you don't want me to touch you, I won't force it. Just let me know when you're ready."

As he said this, a barely perceptible coldness appeared in his eyes. 'A divorced woman playing hard to get? Once I get you into bed, you'll be begging me to touch you!'

But Tyrell wasn't in a hurry. He just needed to stay cool for now. After the divorce, he'd have Larry smooth things over, and Lisa would warm up to him. Then he'd have her heart—and everything else. The thought of Lisa's beautiful body in his bed made his blood run hot.

"Let's have drinks and dinner tonight," he suggested. "Good chance to learn about each other, since we'll be spending our lives together."

Lisa remained silent, only offering a soft "okay" after a long pause.

Back at Oasis Villa, Noah sat alone in the empty room, his eyes unfocused.

He still couldn't understand what he'd done wrong to make Lisa want a divorce. One thing he knew for certain was that Lisa loved him—he could see the reluctance in her eyes as she left.

"If she's so reluctant, why does she want a divorce?" Noah couldn't figure it out. He clutched his hair in frustration, pressure building inside him with nowhere to go.

As for Tyrell, Noah had planned to investigate him and keep him away from Lisa. But Lisa had confirmed that Tyrell was her fiancé. If Noah did anything to him, he feared it would hurt Lisa even more.

Noah felt trapped. On one hand, he didn't want to divorce Lisa. On the other, he didn't want to hurt her. And Daniel had given him just one night to consider—like a final barrier blocking Noah's path.

The feeling was unbearable.

"Lisa's attitude is the key here. If she doesn't want a divorce, Daniel's words wouldn't matter. But why does she want to divorce me?" Noah felt as if his entire world had emptied out.

He decided to go out, driving aimlessly around the city, his mind filled with memories of his time with Lisa—eating together, her tears when they saw Summit Retreat Oasis, walking together... These images kept surfacing in his mind.

At the Silverlight City guesthouse, a short-haired woman sat on a sofa, radiating a subtle but commanding presence. It was Jade.

"The latest news is that Lisa went to Noah this morning to propose divorce in person. She gave him one night to consider," Xavier reported respectfully.

"This Lisa seems to know her place," Jade nodded slightly. "She understands the status gap between her and Noah is too wide. Her character isn't bad. If not for her humble origins, she might have made a suitable daughter-in-law. But the gulf between their backgrounds is simply too vast to overcome. This marriage was never meant to be."

"By the way, where is Noah now?"

"He seemed very troubled about the divorce. He's currently drinking at a bar," Xavier replied.

"Let him drink. After all, humans are emotional creatures," Jade said with a slight smile. "Once he's done, I expect he'll move on. Men of the Anderson family have greater ambitions and don't dwell on romantic sentiments. Besides, that royal princess is a thousand times better than Lisa, isn't she?"

At eight o'clock that evening at Luxury Bar, soft music played as patrons came and went.

Many eyes were drawn to a young man sitting in the corner. His table was covered with empty bottles, and his face was flushed from drinking.

"Look how wasted he is already."

"Drinking that much, he must have failed in love. Maybe his wife ran off with some rich guy."

"He's good-looking, but his clothes are nothing special."

The patrons glanced at the young man, each with their own thoughts. The young man was, of course, Noah.

He had lost count of how much he'd drunk or how many times he'd thrown up. His head was spinning, and his stomach felt terrible.

"Lisa, if you really want a divorce, I won't force you to stay. It's your decision," Noah mumbled, staring at his glass. "But I need a reason. To divorce so suddenly, without any explanation..."

Suddenly, his phone rang.

"Noah," Ethan's voice came through when he answered. "Fox's body has been cremated. What should we do with the ashes?"

"Send them to Clementine at the Hilton. North's ashes are there too. We'll choose a date to bury them at North's hometown..." As he spoke, Noah started vomiting again.

"What's wrong?" Ethan's voice was alarmed.

"It's nothing. Just had a few drinks," Noah said, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

"Drinks?" Ethan was surprised. In his experience, Noah had exceptional self-control. He would drink, yes, but drinking until he puked? That was hard for Ethan to imagine.

"Where are you? Did something happen? I'll come keep you company," Ethan asked with concern.

"Luxury Bar. Nothing's wrong. I just need some time alone," Noah replied.

Ethan paused. "Alright. Call me if you need anything. I'll take care of the Fox situation first."

"Okay." After hanging up, Noah continued drinking.

About half an hour later, a woman gracefully entered the bar. She was stunningly beautiful, with a pink mole between her eyebrows that gave her an angelic appearance. The moment she walked in, she drew everyone's attention.
