Chapter 306 I Refuse
Noah squinted at the man in sunglasses, curiosity piqued. "What's this Respect Noah Pavilion thing?"
The man in sunglasses looked genuinely surprised. "You seriously don't know about it?"
"Is it that weird not to know?" Noah shot back.
"Yeah, kinda. These days, almost everyone knows about it." The man in sunglasses chuckled, shaking his head. "Respect Noah Pavilion is this new organization Ethan set up. Only the best get in, handpicked by Ethan himself. We answer only to him and follow his orders."
"Got it," Noah said, nodding. He was taken aback that Ethan had created something with his name in it. The name was intriguing, suggesting a lot of respect for him.
"Let me break down the perks for you," the man in sunglasses continued. "First off, money's not an issue. You start with a base salary of $20,000 a month, plus dividends from various industries every six months. On average, members pull in around $500,000 to $600,000 a year."
"Then there's the power. In Oceanbridge City, members of Respect Noah Pavilion have serious clout."
"Man, the benefits are top-notch. The pay and the power are something else." The man in sunglasses grinned at Noah. "Every day, thousands of people in Oceanbridge City are dying to get in."
"I saw you take down Bruce earlier without breaking a sweat. Interested in joining us?" The man in sunglasses asked, his smile widening. "With your skills, Ethan would definitely see you as a valuable asset. You could even become our vice president! Think about it—luxury cars, beautiful women, and power."
"Thanks, but no," Noah replied coolly.
The man in sunglasses blinked, stunned. "Wait, you're turning us down?"
"Yep," Noah confirmed with a nod.
"No way!" The man in sunglasses was floored. He couldn't believe Noah was rejecting such a sweet deal.
"Come on, think it over. With your talents, it'd be a waste not to join Respect Noah Pavilion," he urged.
"No need. I'm not interested," Noah said firmly, turning to head back to the living room.
The whole idea of joining an organization named after him, which was essentially created for him, was just too ridiculous.
"Is this guy nuts? He just turned down an amazing offer," the man in sunglasses muttered, still in shock.
Back in the living room, Daisy rushed up to Noah, her curiosity evident. "Noah, what did that guy want?"
Billy was also looking at Noah, eager to know what had happened.
The living room went dead quiet as everyone turned their attention to Noah. The man in sunglasses was from Respect Noah Pavilion, a high-status organization, and everyone was dying to know what he had said to Noah.
"He asked me to join Respect Noah Pavilion," Noah said calmly.
"That's awesome!" Billy's eyes lit up with envy. "It means you're on the fast track to success."
"I can't believe they invited him!"
"He's so lucky!"
"I wish I could join, but I don't stand a chance!"
"This guy's gonna be successful!"
The room buzzed with envy and jealousy as everyone processed Noah's words.
"I turned him down," Noah added.
The room fell silent again.
"You turned them down?" Billy's eyes widened in disbelief. "You refused such a great opportunity? No way!"
"Yeah, I did," Noah confirmed.
"Noah, why would you do that?" Daisy was stunned, clearly frustrated.
She didn't know much about Respect Noah Pavilion, but judging by everyone's reactions, it was a big deal. How could Noah refuse such a good offer?
"Is he out of his mind?"
"Idiot!"
The room erupted in disbelief and ridicule.
"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. So many people want to join Respect Noah Pavilion, and he refused? Is he crazy?"
"Yeah! He turned down a golden opportunity!"
"I don't get it. His thinking is just different from normal people!"
"He must be arrogant and look down on Respect Noah Pavilion!"
"Yeah, he probably thinks he's too important for them!"
Noah ignored the chatter and sat down on a wooden chair. Daisy sat beside him, complaining non-stop about how he must be crazy to refuse such a good offer.
About twenty minutes later, Bodhi finally walked into the living room. His face, now cleaned of blood, was wrapped in white bandages, leaving only his eyes visible. He looked very weak.
"Bodhi!" Daisy quickly went to help him sit down. "How are you feeling?"
"Other than a bit of dizziness, I'm okay," Bodhi waved his hand.
"Bodhi, you know, your friend here has a lot of guts!" Billy walked over, glancing at Noah.
"What do you mean?" Bodhi was puzzled.
"Just now, someone from Respect Noah Pavilion invited your friend to join, but he refused," Billy explained.
"What! Noah, you turned down an invitation to join Respect Noah Pavilion?" Bodhi's face changed, and he slapped his leg in frustration. "Noah! Are you out of your mind? Please tell me it's just a joke!"
He looked at Noah with disappointment.
"No, I really refused," Noah replied.
"Oh my God!" Bodhi stomped his foot. "You turned down such a great opportunity? Why! Joining Respect Noah Pavilion means instant success!"
