Chapter 270 The Anderson Group

"Gideon, why did Noah hit you?" Wren asked again, her voice steady but with a hint of concern.

Wren, Gideon's mother and the head of the Winchester family, had taken over the family business three years ago after her husband passed away. With her extensive background in e-commerce, she had propelled the Winchester family's business to new heights.

Despite her calm demeanor, Wren was deeply troubled by the news of her son being beaten. Instead of seeking immediate revenge, she chose to wait for Gideon to wake up and explain what had happened.

The Winchester family was one of the four major families in Oceanbridge City. For Noah to dare lay a hand on Gideon, he must have had some serious backing.

"Mom, that Noah wanted to talk about a logistics partnership with our family," Gideon said, his voice filled with anger.

"A partnership?" Wren was surprised. "Even if he wanted to discuss a partnership, he didn't need to beat you up like this!"

"Mom, you don't get it. Noah's just a delivery guy!" Gideon sneered. "His so-called logistics partnership was about gathering a bunch of delivery drivers in Oceanbridge City to form a company, using our Winchester family logistics to deliver their orders, and then giving us a cut."

"Even if he gathered two thousand delivery drivers, the most profit he could generate for us would be two thousand dollars a day."

Wren nodded, understanding immediately. "Our Winchester family logistics generates hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit daily. That small amount of profit isn't worth partnering with him. Plus, if word got out, it could hurt our reputation."

"Exactly, so I turned him down right away!"

Gideon's eyes suddenly filled with hatred. "Who knew that Noah would be so rude? After I refused him, he got angry and beat me up in front of everyone! The other three major families were there too. I was utterly humiliated!"

Wren's eyes narrowed as she asked, "Even if Noah was rejected, he didn't need to resort to violence. After all, business is business. Gideon, did you say something to insult him?"

Wren knew her son well. Spoiled since childhood, Gideon had developed an arrogant and domineering character.

She suspected that after refusing Noah, Gideon must have said something offensive.

"Mom, I did insult Noah," Gideon admitted, lowering his head. "But I don't think I was wrong. Does Noah's so-called Anderson Group have the qualifications to partner with our Winchester family?"

"What did you say? The Anderson Group?!" Wren's expression suddenly became serious.

"Yeah, the Anderson Group. What's the big deal?" Gideon asked, puzzled by Wren's reaction.

Wren didn't answer immediately, her expression remaining serious.

The Anderson Group was a world-class company that had recently emerged. Compared to the Winchester family, it was like a giant compared to an ant.

This company specialized in international logistics and was rumored to be expanding its global logistics network, including sea, land, and air transport.

Logistics companies worldwide were eagerly collaborating with the Anderson Group, including those in Eagleland.

Wren had heard that in the eastern region alone, 38 out of 43 logistics companies had already formed deep partnerships with the Anderson Group. These partnerships had brought significant benefits, with annual profits increasing by at least five billion dollars.

Wren had been interested in such a partnership but had not been contacted by the Anderson Group yet.

"Gideon, are you sure Noah's company is called the Anderson Group?" Wren asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"Yes, he said it himself!" Gideon confirmed.

"Does Noah have any special background?" Wren asked again.

"He's just a delivery guy. What special background could he have?" Gideon scoffed. "He delivered food to me at the hotel and even begged me for a five-star rating!"

Hearing this, Wren felt a bit disappointed. "A delivery guy clearly isn't part of the Anderson Group. He probably just named his company that. I was overthinking."

Wren looked at Gideon again. "But Gideon, I never act without certainty. Noah humiliated you in public, and the Benson family's security didn't intervene. Clearly, even if Noah is just a delivery guy, he has some backing."

"Revenge is necessary, but we must first investigate Noah's background thoroughly."

"Mom, I understand!" Gideon's eyes lit up. Since Wren was taking charge, it was only a matter of time before Noah faced retribution.

"Good. You continue to recover. I'll arrange for someone to investigate Noah's background," Wren said.

"Okay!"

The next morning, Noah left Summit Retreat Oasis and headed to the Facebook Live Group.

He needed to find the finance manager, Nathan, to inquire about Larry's participation in "I Am a Wealthy Individual."

Noah's goal was simple: Larry could stay in the villa for at most a week.

Larry had repeatedly mocked Noah, and since the money for the villa came from Noah, he wouldn't let Larry enjoy it.

The second matter was to check on Facebook Live's operations. They had recently recruited two major streamers.

About half an hour later, Noah arrived.

He parked his car and entered the Facebook Live Group building.

"Mr. Anderson!"

Nathan, the finance manager, had received word of Noah's visit and was ready to welcome him.

They walked to the office, where Noah sat in the chair while Nathan stood respectfully in front of him.

"Mr. Anderson, here is the summary of the recent 'I Am a Wealthy Individual' show. Please take a look," Nathan said, handing over a stack of documents.

Noah began to review them.

The summary included brief introductions of the selected participants and the amounts they were paid.

The latter part contained information recorded by the reporters during the show.

Naturally, Noah's name was on the list, along with details about him and Larry.

Noah skimmed through the other participants' information before focusing on his own records.

After a couple of minutes, Noah finished reading and smiled.

Sofia believed that his Armani suit and GMC business star were all purchased with the show's money.
