Chapter 331 Eyfel Hotel
"Just a friend," Noah said flatly, glancing at Kurt.
"A friend? Noah, are you serious?" Kurt looked puzzled. "Someone like you, a nobody, not even a local in Silverlight City, without a house here—how could you have such a beautiful friend? Come on, was she just asking for directions yesterday?"
"If so, why would you ask me for her Facebook?" Noah looked at Kurt like he was an idiot.
With that, Noah walked into the classroom, ready for his lesson.
"You—!" Kurt's tone turned icy, his eyes flashing with anger as he murmured to himself, "You loser, you don't deserve that girl, and you're so stingy you won't even give me her Facebook. You're pathetic! If that's how you want to play it, don't blame me for being rude!"
Class was about to start.
"Good morning, Mr. Anderson!" The kids in the class greeted Noah in unison.
"Good morning, everyone." Noah smiled, suddenly noticing a new girl in the corner.
She looked about seventeen or eighteen, probably a high school student. She wore a blue and white school uniform and seemed more mature than her peers. Her long hair was tied back, her skin was flawless, and her small chest was full of youthful energy.
"Would you mind introducing yourself to the class?" Noah asked, smiling at the girl.
She stood up and addressed the class, "Hello, everyone. My name is Genevieve Ashbourne, and I'm a senior art student."
"Alright, please have a seat." Noah nodded, letting Genevieve sit down.
The SAT system in Imperial State is notoriously tough, one of the most challenging in the entire country. So, students who aren't strong in academic subjects often choose to study the arts, like painting, piano, or violin. These art schools focus more on artistic talent than academic scores.
Genevieve, a senior learning guitar, was clearly an art student.
Noah began his lesson. He noticed Genevieve was quiet, rarely asking questions, unlike the other students who were more lively.
'Teenagers in their rebellious phase, I guess. I was pretty quiet myself at that age,' Noah thought to himself.
As noon approached, Noah's class ended, and Audrey suddenly called him to the meeting room.
Opening the door, he saw the other teachers were already there, with Kurt sitting at the table, a certificate in front of him.
"A Level 7 Guitar Certificate!"
"Mr. Lowe, that's impressive! At twenty-five, you've already achieved a Level 7 Guitar Certificate!"
"Our boss will definitely give you a raise. Earning over ten thousand dollars a month isn't out of the question!"
The female teachers looked at the certificate enviously, chatting excitedly.
One teacher, in particular, seemed thrilled at the prospect of Kurt earning over ten thousand dollars a month, her eyes practically sparkling.
Kurt basked in the attention, grinning proudly. "If you all practice hard, achieving a Level 7 Certificate is within reach."
He glanced at Noah, then waved the certificate in front of him. "Noah, see this? A Level 7 Guitar Certificate, I've got it."
Noah responded indifferently, his expression unchanged.
"Noah, we're colleagues. Shouldn't you congratulate Mr. Lowe on his achievement?" Audrey frowned.
"Yeah, Mr. Anderson, that's pretty rude!"
"Are you jealous of Mr. Lowe's Level 7 Certificate?"
The other teachers chimed in.
"It's just a Level 7 Certificate, what's the big deal?" Noah rolled his eyes.
The female teachers' expressions changed.
"Noah, do you know how hard it is to achieve a Level 7 Certificate?"
"Yeah! You say 'just,' but do you have one?"
"Achieving Level 7 requires intense practice and dedication!"
The female teachers were clearly displeased with Noah's attitude.
Seeing Noah become the target of criticism, Kurt was secretly pleased but still said, "Don't be too hard on Noah. You have to understand, this guy only knows one song, 'Love's Remembrance.' He hasn't even taken the guitar exams, so he can't understand how tough Level 7 is."
"Mr. Lowe is right. Noah doesn't know anything. Talking to him about Level 7 is pointless," one female teacher said, then laughed. "Mr. Lowe, since you've achieved Level 7, how about treating us to a meal to celebrate?"
"Of course, I'll treat everyone!" Kurt said, then asked Noah, "Noah, are you coming?"
"I'm not going." Noah shook his head, uninterested in dining with Kurt.
"You might regret it. I'm planning to treat everyone at the Eyfel Hotel," Kurt said mysteriously.
"Eyfel Hotel!"
"Mr. Lowe, you're treating us to the Eyfel Hotel?"
"That's a high-end place! A meal there costs at least five or six thousand dollars, sometimes tens of thousands!"
"Yeah, it's so luxurious!"
"And I heard the Eyfel Hotel is owned by the Moore family, a big name. You can really meet someone born with a silver spoon there!"
"Mr. Lowe, are you sure you're treating us to the Eyfel Hotel?"
The female teachers were buzzing with excitement and anticipation.
"Absolutely!" Kurt grinned, enjoying the attention. "My family just sold a house yesterday, made over five million dollars. I can afford it."
He looked at Noah again. "Noah, are you sure you don't want to come?"
Noah rubbed his chin. "I'll go."
Hearing the female teachers mention the Moore family, Noah realized it was Atticus's business. It was a good opportunity to meet their boss.
"Noah, you just said you weren't going. Now you've changed your mind!"
"That's the power of money! He probably thought we were going to a cheap place, so he wasn't interested. Now that he knows it's the Eyfel Hotel, of course, he's willing!"
"After all, a meal at the Eyfel Hotel is worth his monthly salary!"
"Such a gold digger!"
The female teachers looked at Noah with a hint of disdain.
"Alright, everyone, don't be too hard on Noah," Kurt said, smiling. "Noah's not from here, he rents a place, just started working, probably doesn't have much money. It's normal for him to change his mind. After all, we're going to the Eyfel Hotel! He might never have been to such a high-end place in his life."
