Chapter 264 What Qualifications?

"This is quite extravagant," Larry waved his hand, looking modest but secretly proud.

"Just a little over two thousand dollars," he said.

"Haha, I remember when that loser Noah moved, he didn't even have fireworks!" Jake chuckled.

"Jake, make sure to have a few extra drinks at the table later! It's all fine wine, aged for decades, and the dishes are all prepared by top chefs, right up your alley!" Larry added.

"Is that so?" Jake's eyes lit up. "Can't compare, huh? When Noah moved, if I remember correctly, Lisa cooked the food, they were so broke they couldn't even afford a chef!"

"Unlike you, throwing a housewarming with red wine and gourmet dishes, Larry, that must have cost a pretty penny, right?"

"Pocket change, just a little money, as long as you enjoy the food!" Larry chuckled, giving off a respectful vibe.

Meanwhile, in a corner of the mansion stood a man with glasses, a press pass hanging from his chest. A tripod with a camera was set up next to him, while he held a notebook, jotting down notes.

[Larry, inviting all relatives for the housewarming, this event is bound to be grand. What I'm most curious about now is Noah, the Wilson family's despicable son-in-law, and what he's thinking,] he wrote.

[Larry says Noah is hypocritical, even if he's seething inside, he won't show it on his face. When he arrives and sees the mansion, trying to suppress his envy and resentment, it's going to be quite amusing.]

"Oh, Noah's here?" Larry's gaze shifted, spotting Noah. He waved. "Come on over!"

"Noah's here?" The relatives all turned their attention to Noah.

By this time, Noah and Lisa had reached the entrance of the mansion.

"Is that Noah?"

"He looks thin, I heard he's unemployed!"

"Rumor has it he's a good-for-nothing, no proper job, just living off Lisa's earnings!"

Some relatives, seeing Noah for the first time, whispered and scrutinized him.

"If he's just unemployed, so be it!" Jake snorted, glaring at Noah. "He doesn't work, lazes around at home all day, sure, he's a waste, but that doesn't affect anyone else, does it?"

"The problem is, this man lacks manners! My son Mike finally got a job in the government, but because of Noah's interference and disrespect towards his superiors, my son lost his job!"

"I hadn't heard about this!"

"I can't believe he's like this, he doesn't even understand basic manners?"

"You should always show respect to your superiors!"

The relatives looked at Noah with disdain or sighs.

Most of these relatives were from Larry's side of the family.

"Noah, what do you think of my mansion?" Larry pointed to the mansion behind him.

"It's just okay," Noah glanced over and replied nonchalantly.

"Just okay?" Jake's eyes widened. "Noah, you're being too arrogant! This is Summit Retreat Oasis! And you dare say it's just okay?"

"It really is," Noah stated truthfully.

The mansion was just an ordinary detached house, no garden, no pool, smaller than Noah's own house, and not even comparable to the royal mansion of the Edward family. The high price was probably due to its location in Summit Retreat Oasis.

According to Larry, even buying this second-hand mansion cost around ten million dollars.

"Noah, don't think living in that big mansion makes you a wealthy man!" Lance sneered. "Don't forget, that mansion is just a company accommodation for Lisa, you don't even have ownership, just temporary residence!"

"Yeah, Noah, Larry has a property deed for this mansion!" Mike glanced at Noah disdainfully. "And you might get kicked out of the mansion one day!"

"Has Noah forgotten his useless identity?"

"Claiming Larry's mansion is just okay. If not for Lisa, does Noah even deserve to live in a mansion?"

The relatives pointed and whispered about Noah.

"Before you talk about me, take a look at your own homes. What kind of houses do you live in?" Noah sneered at the relatives. "You're just jealous. My mansion is the best in Summit Retreat Oasis. Compared to that, Larry's mansion is indeed just okay. Am I wrong?"

"Moreover, most of you live in rundown apartment buildings! Some even live in houses made of mud. What right do you have to mock me?"

With that statement, the relatives' expressions changed, unsure how to respond.

Indeed, they were envious of Noah living in a mansion, which led to their mockery.

Did Noah deserve to live in a mansion?

The thought made them jealous.

But they believed Noah was just lucky, which made the relatives resentful but powerless.

"And you call me useless, well, I am, and I'm proud of my capable wife! She's the project manager, her annual income is probably many times more than your entire family's! In any case, we're wealthier than you!"

"What right do you have to criticize me?"

Upon hearing this, the relatives' faces showed anger, shaking with fury.

"Damn, this jerk is too arrogant!"

"This useless guy is so lucky to have married such a good wife!"

The people gritted their teeth.

At that moment, a bus pulled up.

The door opened, and Daniel and Zoe stepped out, followed by a girl.

The girl, with delicate features resembling Lisa, was Luna Wilson, Lisa's younger sister.

She held a selfie stick, waving at the screen. "Bye, everyone, I'm off to my sister's housewarming party for dinner!"

Clearly, she was live streaming.

After ending the stream, Luna looked around with big eyes, then smiled at Noah. "Noah!"

With that, she ran over to Noah.

Two more people got off the bus, a middle-aged man with wrinkles on his face, and a woman in her twenties.

It was George and Jasmine.

Seeing Daniel, Larry immediately went up to greet him and then greeted George, "George!"

"Hello, Larry!" George smiled.

Daniel nodded at Larry, hands behind his back, admiring the mansion in front of him. "Larry, you've done well, buying a mansion in Summit Retreat Oasis! I'm impressed!"

"From now on, I'll be living here!"
