Chapter 217 Can You Understand Human Language?

Hearing Noah's words, Zachary's face darkened as he looked at Noah. "Are you the doctor here, or am I? Even if it's first come, first served, I don't want to give her radiation therapy now. What are you gonna do about it?"

"Yeah, boy, you need to learn to read the room." Mary also turned her gaze to Noah, pulling a valuable ring off her finger and holding it out to him, a hint of mockery in her eyes. "This ring is worth twenty grand. Take it and let my dad go first. You can wait a bit. This twenty grand is probably more than your annual income, right?"

"Ms. Smith, you're giving him such an expensive gift just to wait a bit!" Dr. Zachary's eyes widened, "You're so generous!"

Mary shook her head. "It's just a ring, Dr. Zachary. You know I run a jewelry business. I have plenty of these at home. If you do a good job with my dad's radiation therapy, I'll give you two gold bars!"

"Really?" Zachary's eyes lit up. "Ms. Smith, don't worry. I'll make sure your dad gets the best treatment!"

Zachary was well aware of the Smith Family's wealth.

Mary owned several jewelry stores, with a net worth of at least fifty million dollars.

If he could cure Mr. Smith's stomach cancer, given Mary's generous nature, two gold bars would be just the beginning.

"Mr. Smith, please head to the next room! Nurse, help Mr.Smith!" Zachary shouted.

Two young nurses immediately came over to assist Toby.

Noah reached out, blocking Toby's path.

"I said first come, first served. We are here first, so we get the treatment first. Do you not understand what I'm saying?" Noah's gaze was icy as he looked at Zachary.

Under that gaze, Zachary shivered, feeling as if something terrifying was staring at him.

He shook his head and sneered coldly, "I'll say it again, you can only be second. If you want to play hardball, fine, I can choose not to help you. Go to another hospital. But I have to remind you, Oceanbridge City only has one facility with a cesium radiation machine. Going to another hospital is useless; you'll have to go to another city. The journey might cause your wife to have an accident."

After saying this, Zachary smiled again, assuming Grace was Noah's wife.

"Noah, let's just be second. Waiting a bit won't hurt. Let's listen to Dr. Zachary," Grace tugged at Noah's sleeve.

"Look, your wife is very sensible!" Zachary glanced at Grace.

"I said first come, first served. The longer we wait, the worse her condition could get," Noah insisted, "We must go first!"

"Fuck you, don't push your luck!" Zachary's patience ran up, he cursed.

Mary couldn't stand it anymore and gave Noah a sideways glance. "I've already promised you a ring. What's the big deal about letting us go first? Or do you think the ring isn't valuable enough? Besides, radiation therapy requires three or four sessions, costing tens of thousands of dollars. Do you have that kind of money?"

Mary looked Noah up and down. His ordinary clothes didn't match those of a wealthy person. He probably scraped together everything he had for this one session.

"Ms. Smith is right." Zachary added, "Kid, even though you just paid. Mr. Smith is a big shot; how can you compare with him? And after you pay for the treatment, how much do you have left in your account? Could you ever afford your wife's convalescence after her treatment? Ms. Smith has already been so generous to you; why bother playing rogue? You can wait a bit and sell the ring Ms. Smith just gave you to afford your wife's convalescence; isn't it a win-win situation? Why so stubborn?"

Zachary looked at Noah and sneered, "You've run out of your whole account, right? You should go and take your money back and quit her treatment! In her final days, why not bring her some good food or go on some trips, offering her an enjoyable time? You poor guy, I'm considering you!"

Mary also rolled her eyes, "Yeah, with that money, you might as well buy your wife some good food and take her to fun places. Make her happy before she dies. Poor people like you trying to get radiation therapy, do you have the financial means?"

"Enough talk. Get Mr. Smith to the next room," Zachary said impatiently."Move aside!" Zachary glared at Noah.

"If you won't let me go first, then none of you will get treated," Noah said coldly, still blocking the nurses, his voice leaving no room for doubt.

"This is a hospital, not a place for you to cause trouble!" Zachary slammed the table, glaring at Noah.

"Young man, what do you mean? My father needs treatment, and you're not letting us through?" Mary's face turned cold as she signaled.

Two bodyguards stepped forward, exuding an intimidating presence, ready to act.

"I've been very generous, giving you a ring worth a year's salary, and you still won't let the doctor treat my father," Mary glared at Noah, her face darkening.

Noah sneered, his eyes sharp, "Cut the crap! I've repeated many times, first come, first served!"

"Since that's the case, throw him out!" Mary commanded, the two bodyguards reached for Noah's shoulders.

Grace and Scarlett's faces changed.

"Serves you right. Couldn't you just wait a bit?" Zachary cursed, "Fuck you, you son of bitch! Fuck off here, you're not welcomed! "

The next moment, the bodyguards' hands landed on Noah's shoulders.

They tried to drag him away, but Noah stood firm, unmoved by their efforts.

The bodyguards' faces changed slightly.

The next moment, Noah moved. His actions were simple, lifting his right foot and kicking forward.

The two bodyguards flew back like broken kites, landing on the ground with a thud, groaning in pain, instantly incapacitated.

Mary gasped, her eyes wide in disbelief.

These bodyguards were highly paid professionals, but they were no match for Noah.

Zachary's face also changed, shocked by the sudden turn of events.

"You dare cause trouble here! You have no respect for the law!" Zachary shouted.

Suddenly, a wave of heavy footsteps approached, and a middle-aged man in a white coat entered, exuding an air of authority. "What's going on here?"

He scanned the room, his gaze cold.

"Mr. Brandon, he's causing trouble!" Zachary pointed at Noah. "He's threatening me to treat his wife!"

"What? Is that true?" Dean Brandon's gaze fell on Noah, questioning coldly.
