Chapter 394 The Plaything of the Rich
Lisa often watched short videos and frequently saw guys using cheesy tricks to ask girls for their WhatsApp. T
o her, some of the methods shown in these videos were downright embarrassing. She couldn't understand why these videos had such high view counts and so many likes and comments.
Sometimes, she even suspected that these videos were staged. Otherwise, they were just too cringeworthy.
But Lisa didn't expect to encounter such a situation today, and she felt a bit disgusted.
"Hey, beautiful, don't go!"
One of the young men saw Lisa trying to leave and blocked her path again. The other two young men also stepped in to stop her.
"Aren't you curious about what I stole?"
The young man smiled, feeling frustrated because Lisa wasn't playing along with his script, which annoyed him.
"What did you steal?" Lisa asked reluctantly, as they were blocking her way.
"I stole the brightest star to put in your eyes," the young man said gently, trying to sound romantic.
"Miss, can I steal your WhatsApp?" He said, showing his WhatsApp QR code. "Just scan it."
"How boring," Lisa rolled her eyes. "Honey, let's go back."
She pulled Noah to leave. The encounter with these idiots had ruined her mood to explore the campus ruins.
"Alright," Noah said, and they started walking back. To be honest, Noah also found these flashy antics annoying.
He would often skip videos where people touched others' hands in elevators or slapped strangers' butts and then blamed someone else.
These three young men were annoying but not overly offensive—they hadn't touched Lisa or invaded her personal space. So Noah didn't bother to argue with them. If they had crossed the line, Noah would have beaten them up already.
"Don't go, Miss!" Seeing Lisa about to leave again, the young man stepped forward to block her path, grinning. "Just give me your WhatsApp! My friends are here, give me some face. It won't hurt you, right?"
"WhatsApp is my private information. I don't want to give it. Is that okay?" Lisa's voice was icy.
"Private information?" The young man sneered. "With a pretty face like yours, you must be a plaything for rich men. How can WhatsApp be private? I bet when you meet a rich guy, you give your WhatsApp without them even asking."
"What do you mean by that?" Lisa trembled with anger.
"What do I mean? I thought I'd made myself quite clear" The young man grinned. "You're just a play thing! A simp!"
"I bet your WhatsApp is full of rich guys! You look down on ordinary guys like us, that's why you won't give it."
Hearing this, the other two young men laughed.
"He's speaking the truth!"
"This woman is ridiculous. Why talk about privacy? Does she think she's a celebrity?"
"Yeah!"
Just as they finished speaking, the sound of a slap echoed. Red handprints appeared on the faces of the three young men, burning with pain.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"How dare you hit us?"
"Are you tired of living?!"
The three young men glared at Noah. It was Noah who had slapped them.
"Are you blind? Didn't you see she has a man with her, and you still ask for her WhatsApp?" Noah's cold gaze swept over them.
Under his gaze, the three young men shivered.
"Damn it, what's wrong with asking for WhatsApp?" One of the young men cursed. "In today's society, it's common! Even if she has a boyfriend, why can't we ask? Who knows how many guys have been with your woman before you? She might have been played by many men before you."
"Yeah, you're just a rebound!"
Hearing this, Lisa was furious.
Another three crisp slaps echoed. This time, Noah used more force, and one of the young men had blood at the corner of his mouth, his face swelling.
"It hurts!"
"He's still hitting us! Damn it!"
"Asking for WhatsApp is fine." Noah stared at them coldly. "You have the right to ask, and my wife has the right to refuse."
"Insulting people because they won't give you WhatsApp? You guys have quite the temper!"
The slaps attracted a crowd of tourists who started pointing and discussing the scene.
"What's it to you, damn it!"
"Beat him up!"
"Kill him!"
The three young men, embarrassed and angry, charged at Noah. Noah's expression didn't change as he lifted his right foot and kicked forward.
Three dull thuds sounded in succession. The three young men were no match for Noah and were kicked nine feet away, landing heavily on the stone path.
The three young men screamed in pain, looking at Noah with fear. His skills were terrifying, and they were no match for him.
Noah stepped forward, standing in front of them, looking down with a cold gaze, ready to continue.
"What are you doing?"
"Don't come any closer!"
"I'll call the police!"
The three young men were scared, supporting themselves with their hands, retreating continuously.
"Honey." Lisa tugged at Noah's shirt, shaking her head slightly. Noah understood immediately.
"Stop watching those short videos. Instead of learning good things, you learn the bad ones. Asking for WhatsApp? Spend that time studying, working, improving yourself, and making more money. Then you'll have whatever you want."
He glanced at them.
"Get lost!"
Hearing this, the three young men were stunned. They thought Noah would continue hitting them, but he let them go. They quickly got up and ran away, feeling relieved.
Watching them leave, Noah shook his head slightly. It wasn't that Noah wasn't ruthless; these three looked under twenty years old.
At that age, it's normal to have some issues with their thinking and to imitate online videos.
If Noah punished them too harshly, it might leave a shadow and affect their future. A simple lesson was enough; Noah didn't want to pursue it further.
Of course, the main reason was Lisa asking him not to go too far; her will was his guideline. If it weren't for Lisa's gesture, Noah would have beaten them half to death for publicly insulting her.
"Honey, are you okay?" Noah walked to Lisa's side, asking with concern.
