Chapter 170 Six Hours
"What do we do about the rare metal, Sir?" Paisley hesitated for a moment.
"Don't worry, I will make arrangements for this," Kyle said calmly. "The rare metal belongs to the Benson family, and it holds great significance for us. We can’t leave it with that loser Noah forever."
Just then, Kyle's phone started to ring.
"Hello, Sir, we have a problem!" a panicked voice came through the phone. "Noah just arrived at the Royal Garden and injured two of us!"
"What? Noah went to the Royal Garden?" Kyle's eyes flashed. "Why did he go there?"
"Based on the surveillance videos, it seems like he went to talk to a lady. Noah seems to want a divorce from her," the voice said.
"A divorce?"
Kyle's face turned pale: "Is that scrawny Noah planning to divorce his wife and marry my daughter? Is he dreaming?"
"And when Noah left, he asked Miss Lily to pass on a message to you. He said that to him, the Benson family is nothing but dust. He warned you to behave, otherwise..." the voice hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Otherwise, the Benson family will disappear in an instant!”
"That scrawny guy is so arrogant!"
Kyle angrily slammed his fist on the table. "He wants the Benson family to disappear in an instant? Even the prestigious families don't have the audacity to make such a statement! Could there be a centuries-old great family backing him up?
"By the way, before I left, I instructed you to find out where that scrawny guy lives. Did you do that?"
"We did. He lives in Golden Summit Peak, and he recently bought a villa there for seventy-eight million dollars."
Kyle nodded: "He does have some money to be able to live in a villa like that. But in my eyes, seventy-eight million is nothing. Now, get some people and come with me to Golden Summit Peak!
"That scrawny guy should have gone home first to take his wife to the Royal Garden. We need to search his house before he goes back. I don't believe he carries the rare metal with him wherever he goes!"
"Alright, Sir!"
...
Noah drove back home with Lisa.
Noah was in a good mood now that the situation had been explained. He drove slowly, enjoying the breeze.
Buzz, buzz, buzz...
Suddenly, his phone rang. It was Xavier.
"Hello, Xavier." Noah answered the phone.
"Noah, I wanted to inform you about some breaking news. The Anderson Family's gold mine in the Desert Continent has experienced a major collapse, and several hundred workers have died. We are currently discussing this matter with local authorities.
"This gold mine was just recently opened, and the source of the funding largely comes from The Anderson Family's industries around Eagleland Oceanbridge City. The senior members of the family are handling this emergency, and it will probably take around six hours."
"Okay, I understand," Noah nodded.
"And within these six hours, your No Preset Spending Limit Card and savings account will both be temporarily frozen. At the same time, our funds in Oceanbridge City will be transferred overseas to resolve this mining accident.
"Of course, everything will be fine in six hours. But during these six hours, you can't use any of your family connections," said the voice on the phone.
"Alright," Noah replied.
After saying a few more words, Noah hung up the phone.
Six hours didn't seem that long to him.
And now, Noah had some power of his own, so naturally he didn't worry about anything happening.
"Honey, who was that?" Lisa asked curiously once Noah hung up the phone.
"It was a friend," Noah replied with a faint smile.
Lisa nodded and didn't ask any further.
Half an hour later, the car arrived outside the Summit Retreat Oasis.
"Hmm?"
Noah frowned as soon as he entered the villa,. The entire living room was in a mess.
The table was flipped over, his and Lisa's wedding photo was on the floor, and the drawers in the living room were opened.
Daniel and Zoe sat on the couch, panting heavily with fearful expressions on their faces.
"Mom, Dad, what happened?" Lisa asked worriedly, immediately approaching them.
"Noah, you useless piece of trash! Didn't you already divorce Lisa? How dare you show your face here?!" Daniel's face filled with anger when he saw Noah.
"And you, kid, do you have a death wish? You tried to hook up with Kyle's daughter? They came straight to our door!"
"He brought over a dozen people, all with guns. Noah, tell me, do you have a death wish? You're already married and you still tried to seduce Kyle's daughter? You must be seeking death!"
Noah remained silent, walked over to the wall, picked up the wedding photo from the ground, wiped off the dust and hung it back up.
Then, he opened the drawer. Besides the property deed, there was nothing in it.
Noah frowned slightly. The rare metal he had left in the drawer was gone.
It was obvious that Kyle had taken it.
"I made a mistake." Noah shook his head slightly, a coldness emanating from his eyes.
Kyle had repeatedly tried to steal his rare metal. It seemed he really saw Noah as a soft target he could easily manipulate.
"Noah, you useless coward, why are you just standing there? Why don't you call and apologize to Kyle?" Zoe said, "All the people Kyle brought with him had guns? Daniel and I were scared out of our minds! I never would have expected that you would have the audacity to climb the social ladder and seduce Kyle's daughter! Now, it's come to this, they've come to our doorstep!
"It’s a good thing I sent you to handle the divorce with Lisa. If you were here, Kyle might have killed you with a single shot!"
"Mom, my husband did not flirt with Kyle's daughter," Lisa said. "My husband and I went to Kyle's daughter's place and she explained everything. My husband is innocent, so we are not getting a divorce!"
"You’re not getting a divorce?"
Daniel and Zoe were dumbfounded.
"If you’re not getting a divorce, what about the division of assets...?"
"Since we’re not getting a divorce, why do we need to divide the assets? Besides, I love my husband very much. How can I bear to divorce him?" Lisa said.
At this moment, Noah walked toward the door.
"Honey, where are you going?" Lisa asked curiously.
" I need to take care of something. Stay home and don't wander around. Call me if anything happens," Noah said.
Noah was going to see Kyle and retrieve the rare metal.
Creak creak creak!
As Noah reached the doorstep, footsteps suddenly approached.
Ten burly men appeared from all directions and stood in front of Noah.
Each of these men held a black pistol in their hands and had ice-cold expressions on their faces.
Kyle stood behind the row of men.
As soon as they saw Noah, the men raised their guns and pulled the triggers without saying a word!
Bang bang bang!
Gunshots rang out continuously.
