Chapter 117 The Big Quarrel

Right then, Sunny seemed to get what was going on. She suddenly leaped out of Bella's arms and darted under the couch, refusing to come out.

Seeing Sunny looking so aggrieved, Bella knew it wasn't Sunny's fault.

If Nia hadn't messed with Sunny, it wouldn't have scratched her. Bella tried to coax Sunny out for ages, but Sunny still looked all sad and let out a few annoyed meows.

Sterling found it amusing and said, "Like owner, like pet. Both got the same temper."

Bella shot him a glare.

After a bit, Sterling called Bella for dinner. Bella flatly replied, "I'm not eating."

Sterling noticed the tears in Bella's eyes and her frustration. He had no choice but to patiently pull Bella up.

"You're a grown-up, still throwing tantrums like a kid and refusing to eat when you get upset?" he said.

Bella couldn't stand his fake concern and shook off Sterling's hand.

She snapped, "You don't have to act all nice to me. I don't want to eat. You pretend to be all good-tempered in front of others, but you're ruthless behind their backs. Do you think I don't know what kind of person you are?"

Sterling's face darkened at her angry words. He said, "Bella, are you mad at me because of James? Seems like I've been too nice to you. Now come and eat, and we'll talk after dinner."

Nia was a bit shocked to see Sterling suddenly lose his cool in the living room. She thought Sterling was just a bit cold with his words. She had never seen him so emotional before. Turned out Sterling could get this worked up.

Sterling always seemed composed in front of others. It looked like only Bella could bring out his true self.

Bella suddenly smiled, but there was no joy in her eyes. "This is the real you, huh? Irritable, violent, domineering, arrogant, never caring about others' feelings. I said I don't want to eat. Is that clear enough? Do I need to spell it out? I don't want to dine with you and Nia."

Bella finished speaking and shook off Sterling's hand. The living room went dead silent.

Zoey hurried over to ease the tension and said, "Mrs. Windsor, you just recovered. If you don't eat, your body won't hold up. Besides, you know Mr. Windsor's temper well, right? Just go along with it a bit. Talk it out and don't be mad. Come on, let's eat. I made a lot of your favorite dishes today. Come and see."

Zoey pulled Bella's hand and led her to the dining table. But Bella still didn't say a word.

Sterling kept pushing food at her across the table. Bella had to hold back her anger and eat a little of everything. Finally, she threw down her utensils, ignored Sterling's expression, and rushed upstairs.

Bella buried herself in the blanket, tears streaming down and soaking the sheets.

She was tormented by Sterling's domineering, selfish, and terrifying ways. She didn't know how much longer she could take it.

When Sterling came upstairs, he saw Bella lying on the bed, clearly crying.

Sterling couldn't stand seeing Bella like this and spoke gently, "What's with that recording? Who sent it to you?"

Bella suddenly said, "When can I leave you?"

Sterling heard this and suddenly grabbed her neck, his expression cold. "Bella, I told you, you can leave after giving birth to the Windsor family's child. Before that, don't even think about it."

Then he threw her onto the bed. Bella cried even harder, then she threw the pillow at him in a frenzy. "Sterling, you're a bastard. You won't let me leave. You're a bastard. I don't want to see you. Get out!"

Sterling said, "Yes, I'm a bastard. I'm telling you, you can't leave. You'll never leave. If I find out you meet with James, it won't just be a car accident. I'll make his life a living hell."

Sterling finished speaking and left the room. Bella cried hysterically on the bed.

Sterling left the house in anger. Nia saw this and followed him out.

Seeing Sterling go out so late, Zoey felt very worried, wondering why he would leave at such a late hour.

Seeing that Nia had also followed him, Zoey felt even more uneasy. She went upstairs and saw Bella crying hysterically in her room.

Zoey immediately walked over, took a tissue, and wiped Bella's tears. "What's going on? I just saw Mr. Windsor leave."

Zoey saw Bella crying without speaking and tried to persuade her. "You two just made up a few days ago. Why are you fighting again?"

She sighed and continued, "I just saw Mr. Windsor leave, and Nia went with him. What are they doing out so late?"

Bella sniffled and said with a sob, "How should I know what they're doing? They can do whatever they want. It has nothing to do with me."

Zoey deliberately said, "Aren't you worried? Mr. Windsor went out with another woman. Call him and tell him to come back."

Bella turned her head and said, "I'm not calling him. Why should I call him?"

Zoey looked at her stubborn expression and had no choice. She took the phone and said, "Mrs. Windsor, if you don't call, I'll call for you."

Zoey dialed Sterling's number. Bella tried to stop her but was too late. Sterling's voice came through the phone, and Zoey handed it to Bella.

Sterling coldly asked, "What is it?"

Bella had to ask, "When are you coming back?"

Sterling sneered and asked, "Didn't you say you didn't want to see me? Why are you calling me back now? Are you kidding me?"

Bella said, "Come back if you want. It's Zoey who asked me to call, not me."

Sterling angrily hung up the phone. Zoey looked at Bella with disappointment.

Zoey said, "Mrs. Windsor, why can't you just talk to him properly?"

Bella didn't want to talk to Sterling. Just thinking about how Sterling treated her made her so angry she couldn't eat or sleep. She wished he would never come back.

Zoey said, "Fine, you two can be stubborn. You fight three times a day. There's no hope." Zoey shook her head and went downstairs.
