Chapter 92 Bringing Up Divorce Again

The more Anna scrubbed her hands, the more grossed out she felt.

She wiped her tears away.

Cry? She didn't even have the right to cry now.

After she left, Colin suddenly got up and stormed over to Axel.

Axel was still badmouthing Anna when Colin yanked his hair and made him look up.

Before Axel could react, Colin shoved a bottle of liquor into his mouth.

"You wanna drink, huh? Let me help you with that," Colin said, pouring the booze down Axel's throat.

Axel freaked out and started begging for mercy.

Micah watched Colin, who looked like he'd lost it, and calmly turned to Sterling, "Aren't you gonna stop him?"

"Nope. I'm outta here." Sterling glanced at his phone, figuring Bella should be asleep by now, and suggested they head back.

He knew Bella was avoiding him. He just hadn't figured out how to fix it yet.

Sterling always figured if Bella acted up, he could just force her to behave. But ever since they lost the baby, she'd changed a lot.

He didn't dare push too hard, scared something might really happen to her.

Seeing Sterling leave, Micah got bored too and decided to bounce.

The party was Colin's gig, and he didn't really know the other folks there.

When Anna came out of the bathroom, trying to pull herself together, she saw Colin leaning against the hallway wall, smoking.

As soon as he saw her, he put out his cigarette.

Anna walked past him, not giving a damn.

Colin grabbed her. Seeing her pale face, he felt a pang of guilt, knowing he'd gone too far earlier. "Anna, I..."

"Mr. Rivera, haven't you done enough? Or do you wanna throw me to another old man until you are satisfied?" Anna shook off Colin's hand and glared at him.

Colin felt a chill run through him. He wanted to apologize but couldn't get the words out. He hadn't meant for things to go this way.

He just wanted to see Anna freak out, but now he regretted it.

Anna was seriously pissed, and he realized she wasn't someone to mess with.

But he still softly said, "I'm sorry, Anna. I know you're mad. It's all my fault. I'll do anything you want as long as you forgive me."

Anna looked at him coldly. "No need, Mr. Rivera. We're from different worlds. I don't deserve your apology. We have nothing to do with each other. Please, let me go."

Colin felt deeply guilty and knew she was really angry. He let go of her hand.

Anna immediately walked away.

Colin felt a bit frustrated but still thought about how to make it up to Anna and apologize.

It was all his fault. He had never felt this way before.

He had never lowered himself to apologize to a woman before.

Anna was the first to make him swallow his pride and say sorry.

He felt something he couldn't describe, like apologizing to Anna wasn't that hard, and maybe making it up to her was okay too.

He had always been impatient with other women, but now he was willing to sincerely make it up to Anna.

When Sterling got home, he found Bella was indeed asleep. He opened the study door, and out of nowhere, a white cat darted at him.

He instinctively kicked it away, and when he realized it was Bella's cat, he immediately called Zoey over, fuming, "What's going on? Why is it in my study? Get it out of here right now. If it's in my study again, I'll kill it."

Zoey quickly scooped up Sunny and hurried out.

Sterling had no clue Bella did it on purpose. She just wanted to piss him off.

A week later, Bella heard that Sterling had taken over James's family company, pushing them to the brink of bankruptcy.

She knew if she asked Sterling about this matter, he'd definitely blow up.

But Bella did it anyway. Whether it was for James or just to defy Sterling, she had to confront him.

When Bella got to the company, Sterling was in a meeting, so she waited in his office.

She was almost dozing off when Sterling finally wrapped up his meeting and walked in, finding Bella there.

Sterling felt a flicker of happiness, thinking Bella had come to see him willingly, which meant she didn't mind as much anymore.

But the next second, Bella coldly asked, "Why did you acquire James's family company?"

Sterling's face darkened. He slammed the documents on the table, the noise making Bella's heart skip a beat.

But Bella stubbornly looked at him and asked again, "Did you do it on purpose? Did you acquire their company to bankrupt them? Sterling, you're despicable."

Sterling didn't expect Bella to confront him over James. He snapped, "Bella, have I been too nice? How dare you question me over another man?"

He hadn't believed that Bella's child was James's, but now he had to believe it.

"Do you care about him that much? Are you so eager to question me? What, are you planning to run off with him? Don't forget, you're still my wife. If you dare to run away, I won't hesitate to break your legs or James's legs," Sterling sneered.

Bella knew Sterling always meant what he said. She suddenly felt a bit scared.

She had come impulsively to piss off Sterling. Thinking that it would implicate James, she felt a bit of regret.

Bella snorted, "Sterling, I can leave whenever I want. I don't need to run off with anyone. I want a divorce."

Hearing Bella mention divorce again, Sterling was furious. "Bella, I told you, if you mention divorce again, don't blame me for being rude. And don't forget, you haven't had the baby yet. Even if you do, I don't plan to let you go. This is the consequence of angering me."

Hearing that, Bella felt a wave of fear and terror wash over her. But she still said, "Sterling, you're a bastard."

She stormed out of Sterling's office, feeling like she had gained nothing but learning that even if she had the baby, Sterling didn't plan to let her go.
