Chapter 215 It Really Hurts
Sterling didn't want to hear her explanation, feeling a bit annoyed. "The property your mom got from the Foster family after the divorce is no longer the Foster family's."
"Go back and read the marriage law properly. If she gave it to Bella, then it's Bella's. I'll say it again, if you go to Bella again, don't blame me for being rude to you."
Sterling clearly didn't want to say another word. Debra felt a bit unsteady, her emotions in turmoil, and finally, she lost control and shouted, "So you really were just using me. Is that why you never wanted to have sex with me?"
"I know crushing the Foster family is as easy for you as crushing an ant, but I can't swallow this. Why is Bella your wife? Why does that bitch Bella get so much? I have nothing now, and I'm not afraid anymore. I won't let her go."
Hearing Debra's words, Sterling's face darkened completely, his eyes growing colder.
He quickly walked up to Debra, grabbed her by the neck, and in a low, dangerous voice said, "Debra, are you challenging my bottom line?"
Debra's tears fell from the sudden suffocation, her body trembling uncontrollably. "What do you want to do?"
Sterling pushed Debra away. "I don't have a habit of hitting women, but if you insist on causing trouble for Bella, I won't mind letting my bodyguards handle it."
Debra fell to the ground, but was immediately grabbed by bodyguards who appeared out of nowhere, one on each side. She could no longer utter any of the harsh words she had said earlier.
Debra was completely panicked. She had come to Sterling to tell him that Bella couldn't have children, but she could and was willing to have children for him.
But now, she was sure that if she said that, she wouldn't leave here safely today.
After all, if the news that the mistress of the Windsor family couldn't have children got out, the Windsor Group's stock would probably plummet.
So Sterling wouldn't let this news leak out, at least not from her.
If the last time had made her see Sterling's true nature, then at this moment, she truly realized who Sterling was.
Sterling's warmth was just a facade. When he smiled, he was warm; when he went mad, he was ruthless. She had never known the real Sterling.
Debra trembled as she spoke, "I won't go to Bella again. Please let me go."
Debra hid her deep hatred in her eyes. She knew that if she didn't agree, she wouldn't be able to leave here today.
Sterling waved his hand, signaling the bodyguards to let her go. He said, "I hope this is the last time I see you."
Sterling left in his Maybach.
Debra sat on the ground in the empty parking lot, still trembling uncontrollably.
Another man emerged from the shadows with a smile on his face. "Debra, I told you he was a ruthless man. Do you believe me now? Can you consider working with me long-term?"
This man was clearly the gentle-looking Caleb. Debra looked at him and said coldly, "Do you think you're any better? I've already helped you once. Do you still want to use me?"
Caleb smiled, a gentle smile that made people afraid to look him in the eye.
"Debra, you helped me, but didn't I help you get revenge? You helped me with the car accident, but didn't Bella losing her child also ease your hatred?"
Debra looked at him coldly and shouted madly, "How dare you mention the car accident! You said you wouldn't hurt Sterling, so why did he end up in the hospital?"
"Isn't he fine now?" Caleb suddenly said coldly.
Debra shouted again, "This isn't enough. I want Bella dead. I want her dead."
Caleb's lips curled up. He liked people who could go mad.
He took out a packet of white powder and handed it to Debra. "This can't be rushed. If you agree to work with me, this might help you."
Debra didn't take it and asked, "What is this?"
"This is something that can make people happy and can help you. Just a little bit can make someone addicted. By then, Bella's life or death will be up to you."
Debra's pupils contracted at his words.
Now that she had seen Sterling's true nature, she had no reason to be soft-hearted. Debra reached out and took the packet of white powder.
But before Caleb left, he reminded her, "Don't harm the woman close to Bella."
Debra thought, Anna? She didn't care about someone insignificant.
Sterling didn't show up all evening. Bella thought he must be very busy, but she didn't want to see Sterling anymore, especially after hearing Debra's words in the morning.
She could never have her own children again. What had she done wrong? Why was she being punished like this?
Bella lay in bed, and Zoey brought her dinner again, chatting with her as if nothing was wrong.
"Mrs. Windsor, this soup is delicious. I just took some to Owen, and he drank two big bowls. Owen is recovering well and is very energetic, saying he wants to be discharged."
Bella remained silent, sitting up with effort.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She took a deep breath to ease the pain. "Zoey, it hurts so much. Can you ask the doctor to give me some painkillers?"
Seeing Bella's pale face from the pain, Zoey was startled and immediately called the doctor, then quickly called Sterling.
The doctor examined Bella and found nothing wrong with her body, but Bella was writhing in pain, sweating profusely. Zoey was at a loss.
"It hurts so much, it really hurts. Give me painkillers, it hurts so much. Please, Zoey, it really hurts. Am I going to die?"
Zoey listened to Bella's pleas, tears streaming down her face.
"Doctor, please do something." Zoey looked anxiously at the doctor, but the on-duty doctor was also at a loss. All the tests were normal.
Just as they were at their wits' end, Sterling arrived, along with Will.
Sterling saw Bella lying in bed, clutching her lower abdomen, crying out in pain, her face pale.
His heart ached, and he immediately went to hold her and comfort her, "Where does it hurt? I'll have the doctor give you some medicine."
Will checked the test results and examined Bella's abdomen. His expression darkened, and he called Sterling outside.
Will said seriously, "Sterling, Bella's body is actually fine. Everything is normal. Her pain might be psychological. She might be unable to accept losing the child and then finding out she can't have children anymore. The double blow might be too much for her to handle, causing her to experience phantom pain."
