Chapter 15 The Unconscious Bella
Owen totally got it. Sterling was like the king of the school, and once everyone found out Bella and Sterling were roomies, her chill life would be toast.
"Got it, Ms. Grey," Owen nodded, backing Bella up.
Bella hopped out of the car, feeling pretty good, and bumped into Anna near the school gate, who was also hustling to class.
"Man, I thought I was gonna be late. Didn't expect to see you here! Now I feel way less stressed," Anna said, grabbing Bella's arm with a big smile.
Bella just chuckled at Anna.
Right before they hit the classroom, Bella suddenly doubled over, clutching her stomach, her face going pale.
"Hey, Bella, you okay?" Anna asked, looking worried.
Bella just shook her head. This stomach thing was old news; she figured it would pass if she just toughed it out.
But then, their counselor, Anouk Miller, strutted over and snapped, "You two are late and still yapping at the door? If you love chatting so much, do it outside."
Anna couldn't stand Anouk and just ignored her.
Anouk, ticked off, gave them a shove. "What's with the attitude? Didn't you hear me?"
Anna just stumbled a bit, but Bella hit the ground hard.
"What the heck?" Anna shot daggers at Anouk.
Anouk looked at her hand, feeling a bit guilty. She didn't expect Bella to fall that hard.
"Bella, your acting's top-notch. You should head to Hollywood and snag an Oscar," Anouk sneered, thinking Bella was faking it to dodge trouble.
Bella didn't even bother with Anouk's snark. Her stomach pain was getting worse, her vision was going fuzzy, and everything was going dark, her heart racing.
Anna yanked Bella up from the ground and Anouk gave Bella another rough shove.
"If you fall from a light push, what happens if I really push you?" Anouk's words barely left her mouth when Bella collapsed again, totally out cold.
"Bella!" Anna freaked out, shaking Bella, but she wouldn't wake up.
"Are you just gonna stand there and put on a show? Get help!" Anna yelled at Anouk, panicking.
Out of nowhere, someone rushed over, shoved Anouk aside, scooped Bella up in a princess carry, and bolted outside.
Anna and Anouk were both left in shock.
Just then, Oliver stormed over and started ripping into Anouk, "You moron, didn't I tell you Mr. Windsor is coming today? Look at the mess you've made!"
