Chapter 448 Water Park
Colin looked at Anna's eager expression and couldn't help but find it amusing. He knew Anna had always been someone who loved life and enjoyed lively activities. After last night's drama, she really did need some fun to shake off the gloom.
Colin smiled and nodded. "Good idea. Go ahead and call Bella so we can head out early."
Anna immediately pulled out her phone and dialed Bella's number.
On the other end, Bella had just finished eating and was clearing the dishes. When she heard Anna say they were going to the water park and to bring Sterling along, she paused for a moment, then glanced at Sterling beside her.
"Water park, want to go?" Bella asked softly.
Sterling had never been to a place like a water park before. His life revolved more around work and business activities. So when Bella mentioned going to the water park, he instinctively frowned, his face showing a hint of discomfort.
But quickly, he adjusted his mood and looked at Bella gently, asking softly, "Do you want to go?"
Bella sensed Sterling's subtle change, but she didn't mind. She just nodded. "Yeah, the shop's closed today anyway. Might as well go out and relax. This weather is unbearably hot - the water park would be perfect to cool down."
Hearing this, Sterling nodded gently, his eyes showing affection for Bella. He said nothing more and turned to grab his car keys. "Then I'll drive you guys there."
He only wanted to be the driver, having little interest in the water park itself. Bella could tell what he was thinking but didn't push him.
After picking up Anna and Colin, the group headed toward the large water park in the suburbs. Since water parks take up so much space, they're usually located far from the city center.
In the car, Anna excitedly opened her backpack and pulled out a swimsuit, handing it to Bella beside her. "Bella, I brought you a swimsuit! Look, I really loved this style, so I bought two - one for each of us. With your great figure, you'll look even better in it!"
Bella took the swimsuit and examined it carefully. The top part looked similar to regular underwear, while the bottom had a small skirt design. The whole thing was black, looking both mysterious and sexy. However, Bella had never worn such a revealing swimsuit before. Her face flushed as she said somewhat embarrassedly, "Why didn't you bring that more modest one I had before?"
Seeing Bella's shy reaction, Anna laughed. "Bella, don't be embarrassed. We're going out to have fun today, so of course we should dress nicely. At the water park, there are beautiful women with great bodies everywhere. You need to outshine them all! That way your man won't be looking at anyone else! Besides, everyone at the water park dresses fashionably - if you dress too conservatively, you'll stick out."
Bella was a bit flustered by Anna's words. She glanced at Anna playfully. "Alright, alright! You wear it for your Colin to see! I'm not wearing something that revealing for others to look at."
Hearing this, Colin couldn't help but laugh. "Speaking of which, thanks for last night, Bella."
Bella tucked her hair behind her ear, showing a gentle smile. "It's nothing. As long as you two are okay, I don't mind even if it costs me half my life."
Anna was deeply moved by Bella's words. She hugged Bella tightly and said affectionately, "I love you so much, Bella! If you and Sterling could be happy together too, you could take my whole life! As long as you're happy, I'd do anything!"
As soon as those words left her mouth, the car fell silent. The air seemed to freeze, and everyone felt the heaviness and awkwardness. They all knew how difficult it was to bridge the gap between Sterling and Bella.
Anna realized her joke had gone too far. The smile on her face froze instantly. She stuck out her tongue and quickly shut her mouth, feeling regretful that she shouldn't have kept pushing this sensitive topic.
To ease the tension, Bella took a deep breath and tried to make her voice sound lighter. She looked at Anna and smiled. "Alright, stop worrying about things that aren't your business. Take care of yourself. Have fun, and when you've had enough, go back to Harborvale with your man. Then I'll have some peace and quiet, and won't have to lose sleep because of you in the middle of the night."
Hearing this, Anna's face lit up with a smile again. She giggled, linked her arm through Bella's, and said coquettishly, "Got it, got it. Actually, you're the one who can't bear to see me go, right?"
When they arrived at the water park and parked, the four of them went to their respective changing rooms to put on swimsuits. Sterling hadn't planned on getting in the water at all.
However, Colin kept trying to persuade him.
"Sterling, if you don't join us, what if someone tries to hit on your woman? Look at Bella - she's wearing a swimsuit today. Don't you know how sexy that figure is?" Colin's words carried some teasing, but Sterling heard some seriousness in them too.
Thinking about Bella possibly becoming the center of attention, Sterling felt frustrated and annoyed. He sighed helplessly and decided to change into a swimsuit and join them after all.
After changing, Bella looked extremely uncomfortable. She wore a black swimsuit with a small skirt that showed off her curves, but she wasn't used to having her waist, back, and legs exposed. She kept tugging at the hem, trying to look more natural.
"Anna... maybe I should go buy a more modest swimsuit? I'm not used to this one." Bella's voice carried some shyness and unease as she looked at Anna.
But Anna really liked this matching swimsuit on Bella. She smiled and shook her head. "No need to change, no need! This one looks great! Really, I'm not lying! Everyone dresses like this - don't be embarrassed!"
As she spoke, Anna pulled Bella in front of a mirror to let her see her own figure.
When they met up with Colin and Sterling, Bella's heart was pounding. She didn't dare look up at them directly, just kept her head down, unconsciously tugging at the short skirt of her swimsuit, looking extremely uncomfortable.
Although Bella didn't look up, she could clearly feel Sterling's gaze examining her carefully. That gaze seemed to penetrate everything, making her even more flustered.
In contrast, Anna was much bolder.
