Chapter 143 Micah's Reminder

Colin rolled his eyes, "Do you think I'm like you? Do I look like I'm short on lovers?"

Micah thought about it and realized it was true. Colin never had a shortage of lovers and never turned down a woman who wanted a one-night stand.

But he never forced anyone. Colin always said that things in bed were only fun with a willing partner; forcing someone wasn't his style.

With that thought, Micah stopped worrying.

Suddenly, Anna screamed from the kitchen, and Micah saw Colin's face change immediately.

"I'll go check it out." Colin stood up so fast he knocked over the chair behind him without even noticing.

Micah paused while pouring coffee, "Was he just lying to me? He has no feelings for Anna? I think he likes her a lot."

Bella also wanted to get up and go to the kitchen, but Sterling held her down, "The kitchen's too crowded, you shouldn't go."

Bella looked at the kitchen, which was almost the size of a room, with a questioning look, but Sterling had already turned his head to talk to Micah.

When Colin went in, he found Anna clutching her finger, looking helplessly at the meat on the counter and a knife.

Colin rubbed his forehead, "Anna, what happened now? I just asked you to handle the ingredients, and you cut yourself. Do you want to turn this place into a crime scene?"

As he spoke, Colin grabbed Anna's hand and saw the wound bleeding. He immediately pulled her hand under the faucet and turned on the water to rinse it.

Anna winced in pain, "I told you I can't cook, but you insisted. Now I've cut myself, and you're blaming me."

While rinsing her wound, Colin said, "Fine, you go out first. I'll handle it, okay?"

Colin was an excellent cook, comparable to a five-star chef, but he rarely showed off his skills. So far, only Micah and Sterling had the privilege of tasting his food.

He didn't need Anna to cook anything. He told her to put on a band-aid and then shooed her out of the kitchen.

When Anna came out, she saw Bella and Sterling sitting together, with Bella sitting obediently next to Sterling. They looked like a harmonious couple, like a boss bringing his wife to a friend's house. Anna looked at her apron and suddenly found it amusing.

Although Anna said she didn't care, she felt a bit of a gap in her heart. Bella's clothes, from top to bottom, cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, while the most expensive thing on Anna was her apron.

Anna hid her disappointment and didn't go to Bella, fearing Sterling wouldn't let Bella come to her. She thought she'd find a chance to talk to Bella later.

Anna went straight to Colin's room, took out the clothes she had washed in the morning, and prepared to iron them.

As Anna was seriously figuring out how to iron the clothes, Micah suddenly appeared behind her.

She was startled, "Can't you make any noise when you walk? You gave me such a fright."

Micah laughed and leaned against the wardrobe, chatting with her casually.

"What's your relationship with Colin?" Micah asked, pretending to be nonchalant.

Anna snorted, "Didn't you see? Employer and employee. What else could it be?"

She knew what Micah meant, but saying it out loud would be pointless. She felt Micah's probing was unnecessary because she and Colin had nothing more than an employment relationship.

Micah grinned, "Really? Isn't it more like a master and maid thing?"

His words made Anna uncomfortable, but she didn't argue. Technically, it was a master and maid relationship, but coming from Micah, it sounded like a sexual innuendo.

Anna nodded, "You're not wrong."

Seeing she didn't argue, Micah continued, "There are plenty of stories where maids fall for their masters. What do you think about that?"

Anna said, "You're overthinking it. I know what you're getting at. What could I possibly have with him? I'm just doing a part-time job. I just want to make more money, so don't slander me."

Seeing her resistant expression, Micah didn't push further but reminded her, "Colin is not someone you can get involved with. His family has already arranged a fiancée for him, and he might get married by the end of this year. It's fine to have fun, but don't give your heart away, or you'll be the one who gets hurt."

Anna laughed angrily, "Do you think I'm the kind of woman who can be played with casually? Besides, with Colin's character, do you think I'd be interested in him? I'm just doing a part-time job. Please, keep your thoughts pure, okay?"

Micah raised his hands in surrender, "Alright, Anna, you do your job. I'm going to find Colin."

Anna shook her head and smiled.

Micah looked back at Anna, seeing her still figuring out the iron. He couldn't help but laugh. 'Colin hired her to work? Who would believe that? I've said all the reminders I can, hoping we can still be friends in the future.'

Anna had just turned on the iron when she heard Bella calling her from outside. She immediately put down the iron and went out, seeing Bella waving at her from the balcony. Anna ran over.

Bella said, "I didn't expect Whitewater Bay to be so beautiful. It looks so comfortable. Living here must be so refreshing."

The scenery at Whitewater Bay was indeed beautiful, perfect for living. Quiet and picturesque, it was the hallmark of Whitewater Bay.

Anna said, "Yes, Whitewater Bay is really suitable for living. The environment is serene and elegant. And with such low residential density, it must be very comfortable to live here."

They discussed the environment of Whitewater Bay on the balcony, wishing they could move in.

Sterling's voice suddenly came from behind, "If you like it here, we can move in tomorrow."

Bella turned around, puzzled, and Sterling said, "Whitewater Bay was developed by the Windsor Group. Micah and Colin each bought a unit, and I kept one for myself. The location and environment are even better than here. If you like it, we can move in tomorrow."

Bella was delighted, not expecting Sterling to disclose his properties so quickly.

She thought for a moment and said, "Let's not. Our current place is nice too, and we've lived there for a long time. There's no need to move around. I just like the environment here. Besides, it's too far from the city, and commuting would be a hassle."

But she was still happy with Sterling's thoughtfulness. Just because she casually mentioned the place looked nice, he considered moving here.
