Chapter 193 Misunderstanding Resolved

Dash said, "Doesn't he like you? Go find him right now and make sure he doesn't withdraw his investment. The court officials are about to come and liquidate the assets. Go find Sterling quickly."

Upon hearing this, Debra nodded immediately, 'Yes, Sterling has said he liked me. He couldn't possibly withdraw his investment.'

Debra went to find Sterling right away. Before going, she even took the time to dress up.

However, the security at the Windsor Group didn't let her in. Debra broke down and shouted at the entrance of the Windsor Group for a while, but she still didn't get to see Sterling.

This made Debra turn her attention to Bella. She thought Bella must have said something to Sterling, which was why Sterling refused to see her.

Debra rushed to The Windsor Villa, but Zoey stopped her. Debra knew Bella had moved out of The Windsor Villa, and she felt extremely pleased, thinking Bella had been kicked out by Sterling.

As soon as Debra left, Zoey immediately called Sterling, fearing that Debra might harm Bella.

After hearing the call, Sterling said to Ryan, "Go bring Debra to me."

When Debra was brought to the office, Sterling was sitting in his chair with an air of authority, his gaze cold and piercing as he stared at Debra.

Debra was thrown to the ground by the bodyguards, looking disheveled and humiliated.

She had lost all her former glory and now resembled a shrew, screaming and hitting the bodyguards.

As soon as Debra saw Sterling, she ran over, grabbed his sleeve, and cried, "Sterling, why did you withdraw your investment? Why are you doing this?"

Sterling looked at her with a sinister gaze, his tone icy. "Debra, do you think I don't know what you've done? You drugged Bella and sent her to James' bed. I didn't come after you before because you were Bella's sister. But now Bella says she never acknowledged you as her sister, so why is it strange that I'm withdrawing my investment from the Foster Group?"

Debra was struck as if by lightning upon hearing Sterling's words. She couldn't believe it and said, "No, it's impossible. Sterling, didn't you say you liked me? Why are you doing this?"

Sterling stared at her, his tone as cold as a demon from hell, "Like you? Do you think you're worthy? I helped the Foster family and did those things for you just to make Bella suffer. To put it bluntly, I was using you. Do you understand? Now that you're no longer useful, how do you think I'll treat someone with no value?"

Debra couldn't believe what she was hearing. It turned out to be a scam. She screamed, "Sterling, how can you be so cruel? Why are you doing this to me?"

Sterling sneered, "Cruel? I'm not as cruel as you. When you drove into Bella, did you think you were being cruel? The child in her womb was a living being, my child. Did you think I didn't know?"

"The lost fetus, the doctor, and the driver who took the blame—did you really think I didn't know? When it comes to cruelty, who can compare to you?"

Debra collapsed to the ground like a deflated balloon, looking devastated as she stared at Sterling, "You knew it was me, so why did you cover for me?"

Sterling said, "I never intended to cover for you. I only did it because you were Bella's sister. But now I see that was a mistake. I should have sent you to prison immediately. The miscarriage caused Bella so much pain, and I should indeed take it out on you."

Debra looked at him in horror, "What are you going to do?"

Sterling's gaze was icy as he stared at her, "Debra, whatever I do to you now, no one will hold me accountable. After all, you owe me and Bella the life of our child."

In Debra's terrified gaze, Sterling had the bodyguards throw her out.

The Foster Group disappeared overnight in Harborvale, and the Foster family ceased to exist. Dash became a fugitive, dodging bank debts everywhere.

Debra was forced to live with Mira, but she resented Mira for not helping Dash when the Foster Group collapsed.

So even though she lived with Mira, she still hated her, hated Bella, and realized how ruthless Sterling could be.

When Debra was at her wit's end, someone suddenly contacted her.

When Debra saw who it was, she was shocked for a few seconds, but as long as it could help her deal with Bella, she didn't mind conspiring with dangerous people...

Micah hadn't met with Sterling since the last incident, so he asked Colin to organize a gathering, hoping to resolve the issue. This stalemate wasn't helping anyone.

Micah understood Sterling; Sterling just needed an excuse. So he had Colin book a private room at Whitewater Bay.

Colin was already troubled by their situation, so when he saw Micah taking the initiative, he immediately made arrangements.

In the evening, Colin and Micah arrived first. Sterling came late after work. When he entered the private room and saw Micah, he paused for a few seconds.

Colin immediately went up and put his arm around Sterling's shoulder, "Sterling, you're the CEO of such a big company, and you're letting a small matter ruin your friendship? I'm disappointed in you."

Micah, who was usually carefree, said, "Sterling, it's been so long since this happened. Are you still mad? I know I was wrong, and I'm here tonight to apologize."

Sterling looked at them and laughed, "What, do you think I'm that petty?"

Colin immediately laughed, "That's good, that's good."

Colin pushed Sterling into a chair, and Micah quickly poured him a drink, saying, "I'm really grateful you helped me break free from the Hughes family's constraints. What the Hughes family did this time was indeed unethical, but I swear, no matter what you do to the Hughes family, you don't have to worry about me. Even if you tear Elijah to pieces, I'll support you."

Sterling looked at the glass in front of him and said calmly, "I know the Hughes family's plan. They want to turn us against each other."

Sterling suddenly laughed self-deprecatingly, "I almost fell into their trap. But I trust Bella, and I trust you."

Micah immediately said, "That's good. As long as you trust Bella and me. Let me tell you, I have no interest in Bella at all. You know, I have many lovers, and Colin and I are the same. So you don't have to worry."

"Besides, Bella isn't my type. I don't like playing the 'raise a girlfriend' game, nor do I like girls with a 'little white rabbit' personality. What I like is..."
