Chapter 137 Am I the Only One Happy?
When Bella got out of the shower, she found Nia getting ready to go out. "Out again, Nia?" she asked, a bit curious.
Nia chuckled, "Just because you and Sterling don't have a nightlife doesn't mean I can't."
Bella shot her a look, "Well, I don't care."
Bella rushed upstairs while Nia laughed and headed out the door.
Back in her room, Bella saw that Sterling wasn't there. She sighed in relief and quickly jumped into bed.
In the middle of the night, Bella felt her legs being lifted. She opened her eyes to find Sterling on top of her, lifting her legs.
Bella shivered from Sterling's touch and tried to push him away. He pinned her hands above her head with one hand and leaned down to kiss her.
Sterling whispered, "Spread them a bit more," as he grabbed her legs.
He spread her legs wider and thrust deeply. Bella moaned in pain from the sudden entry.
She hadn't expected their first time in months to be like this. Sterling turned her over repeatedly, and she was lost in a daze.
Finally, she opened her eyes in a blur and saw the moonlight streaming in from outside.
Bella fell into a deep sleep, and Sterling eventually carried her to the bathroom to bathe her again. This time, she was too exhausted to resist him joining her in the shower.
After getting back into bed, Sterling looked at the sleeping Bella with a satisfied smile. She was so obedient, cute, and beautiful.
Thinking of Bella's seductive posture under him, he couldn't help but feel addicted, like he could never get enough of her.
He looked at Bella in the moonlight; although she was already asleep, her face still had a lingering blush. He couldn't resist leaning down to kiss her again.
Bella seemed annoyed and swatted at his face like a kitten. Sterling grabbed her hands and held her in his arms, falling asleep while hugging her from behind.
In the morning, Sterling was tying his tie while Bella sat on the bed, shooting him an angry look.
Sterling found it amusing and lazily said, "You've been glaring at me all morning. Aren't your eyes tired?"
Bella angrily threw a pillow at him, "Sterling, if you keep this up, we're going to sleep in separate rooms."
Sterling seemed to be in a particularly good mood. He smiled at Bella, "What did I do?"
Bella blushed and said, "Are you a jerk? You only care about your own pleasure, don't you? How am I supposed to go to work today?"
Bella pointed at the hickeys on her neck and continued to complain, "How am I supposed to go to work like this? How can I face people?"
Sterling walked over and pulled Bella into his arms, saying, "Really? Are you sure I'm the only one who enjoyed it?"
Bella tried to hit him again, but Sterling grabbed her wrist and pushed her onto the bed. His tone was suggestive, "It's good you're not going to work. I can stay home with you."
She pushed Sterling away in fear, "All you know is taking time off. I have to go to work."
Earlier, she had gone to the bathroom and was shocked when she saw the state of her neck in the mirror. It was a mess.
Bella quickly went to her walk-in closet and grabbed a high-necked black sweater to cover the marks on her neck. Luckily, it was almost winter, so it wouldn't look out of place.
Dressed in a black sweater and a long white dress, Bella looked elegant but had a cold, noble vibe.
When she came out, Sterling was on the phone with his back to her. Bella glared at him. That jerk had driven her crazy last night. But thinking about his sweat dripping on her face and body made her blush.
She shook her head, trying to forget it. Bella hurried downstairs, grabbed a quick breakfast, and had the family bodyguard take her to the office, not waiting for Sterling.
When she got to the office, Bella realized it was the weekend, and no one was there. After more than a week of nonstop overtime, Micah had kindly given everyone a break.
Bella was annoyed and quickly blamed Sterling for it. It was all his fault she forgot it was the weekend.
Just as she was about to leave, she heard a commotion from Micah's office, including the sound of things falling. Startled, she ran over to see Micah fighting with another man.
She looked at them in disbelief, "What are you doing?"
Micah didn't expect Bella to show up. He immediately stopped and shielded her behind him, "Why are you here? Leave, this has nothing to do with you."
The middle-aged man looked sullen and tough, "Micah, you're such a coward, calling a woman to help you fight. Miss, why don't you come with me? What future do you have with this loser Micah?"
Micah glared at him, "Get lost, watch your mouth."
Micah turned to Bella and told her to leave quickly. But the middle-aged man took advantage of Micah talking to Bella and punched Micah.
Bella's eyes widened, and she took a step back, "What are you doing? I'm calling the police."
Bella had never seen such a scene before. She shakily took out her phone and saw Micah and the middle-aged man fighting again.
They were evenly matched, with the middle-aged man already injured on his face and head, and Micah also had many injuries. It seemed they had been fighting for a while before Bella arrived.
Seeing the office in shambles, Bella took out her phone to call the police but hesitated when she saw the man also badly beaten by Micah. If she called the police, would Micah be taken away too?
She thought for a moment and decided not to call the police. But seeing Micah and the middle-aged man still fighting, she immediately called Sterling.
As soon as the call connected, Bella urgently said, "Sterling, come quickly. Micah is fighting with someone. Hurry."
Sterling's tone immediately turned serious, "Stay away from them. Don't get close."
Bella thought Sterling was right; she needed to stay away to avoid getting hurt.
Just as she was about to leave, she saw the middle-aged man pick up a baseball bat and was about to hit Micah. Bella couldn't stand it anymore.
Almost instinctively, she grabbed a flower pot from the table and smashed it over the man's head.
