Chapter 14 Jealous Sterling

Sterling couldn't believe Bella would go against him for some other man.

He took a step forward, and Bella backed up, trapping herself against the wall.

Sterling's smile had a touch of anger. He got real close, making Bella feel the heat.

"I'll say it again, you can't take anything from anyone but me," Sterling's voice was ice cold.

Bella thought she heard a bit of pleading in his tone, but she brushed it off as her imagination.

'No way, I must be delusional,' Bella thought with a bitter smile.

"Got it. I'll toss this stuff," Bella said, looking down.

Sterling stared into her eyes, making sure she wasn't lying.

Once he was convinced, he nodded and left the storage room.

After he was gone, Bella sighed and chucked the bracelet James gave her into the trash outside.

Turning around, she saw Zoey looking at her with concern.

"Ms. Grey, what did you do to tick off Mr. Windsor again?" Zoey asked.

Zoey was worried Bella might upset Sterling, messing up her recently improved life.

Bella told Zoey what had happened.

Zoey could see Sterling was just jealous.

Zoey found the young love drama kinda funny. "Ms. Grey, even though you tossed the stuff, you should explain it to Mr. Windsor again so he doesn't doubt you."

Bella thought Zoey had a point, so she ran up to Sterling's room and knocked on the door.

The door opened, and Bella frowned; Sterling reeked of booze.

"I threw the bracelet in the trash like you said. Just wanted to let you know," Bella said, watching Sterling for a reaction.

Suddenly, Sterling pulled her into the room and held her tight.

"Stop it! What are you doing?" Bella got nervous.

Sterling kissed her neck, the smell of alcohol making her dizzy.

"Stop it, I'm on my period!" Bella pushed him away and ran out of the room in a panic.

Sterling watched her run, a smile on his face.

The next day, Bella was outside the villa, and Owen was already waiting.

"Ms. Grey, starting today, I'll be driving you to school. Mr. Windsor tossed your bike," Owen said, opening the car door.

Bella sighed. She knew this was coming but still felt sad about losing her bike.

Once in the car, Owen started the engine and headed to school.

What Bella didn't know was that Sterling was watching her leave from the second floor.

When they were about three hundred feet from the school, Bella asked to get out.

"Owen, from now on, stop here. I don't want my classmates seeing me in such a nice car; it'll cause trouble," Bella said seriously, looking at Owen.
