Chapter 51 Don't Be Such a Coward

Debra's words really ticked off the other three.

Mira saw Debra was just stirring the pot and was about to step in, but hot-headed Anna beat her to it.

"Where the hell did you come from, you witch? Where are your manners?" Anna snapped.

Debra had never been scolded like that before and she was fuming.

"Who do you think you are, talking to me like that?" Debra grabbed the coffee on the table, ready to chuck it at Anna.

"Debra, don't push it," Bella said, grabbing Debra's arm.

Debra's coffee missed, but Anna wasn't having it. She grabbed her own coffee and splashed it right in Debra's face.

Black coffee dripped down Debra's face and soaked her clothes.

After a moment of shock, Debra lost it, shaking off Bella's arm and lunging at Anna.

"Debra, I'm warning you, don't go too far!" Bella yelled, stepping in front of Anna.

"Who the hell are you to tell me what to do? Move, or you're next," Debra shouted, pointing at Bella.

"Bring it on, let's see who comes out on top," Anna taunted from behind Bella.

Then, out of nowhere, a slap landed on Debra's face. It was Mira.

"Debra, have you lost your mind? Enough already!" Mira glared at Debra.

"You hit me? I'm your daughter!" Debra covered her face, shocked that her mom would slap her for some outsiders.

Anna was stunned.

"Anna, let's go," Bella said, pulling Anna out of the coffee shop.

With Mira stepping in, Debra didn't dare stop them.

"Why, Mom?" Debra asked, tears in her eyes.

Mira sighed. "Bella was already leaving when she saw you. Why did you have to stir things up? If you hadn't, you wouldn't be covered in coffee."

"That's no excuse to hit me! Now you're feeling sorry for Bella, huh? Leave me alone." Debra cried as she stormed out of the coffee shop.

Mira hesitated, then followed her, worried Debra might do something crazy to Bella in her anger.

Outside, Anna looked at Bella, confused.

"Bella, who was that? Do you know her? Why did she help us?" Anna had seen Debra before and was curious about Mira.

"She's my long-lost mom," Bella said with a bitter smile.

Anna's jaw dropped. She hadn't seen that coming.

"So the rival Sterling found is your sister? Damn, what a plot twist!" Anna rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, Anna grabbed Bella's hand, serious. "Bella, you gotta toughen up. You can't be a pushover anymore. You're Sterling's real wife, but look at that witch Debra daring to mess with you. You should've been the one to throw that coffee."

Bella sighed; she'd been called a coward more times than she could count.

"Alright, Anna, I get it. I'll think about it. Let's just head home," Bella said, parting ways with Anna.

After leaving Anna, Bella was about to call a cab when she unexpectedly ran into Mira.

"What do you want?" Bella asked, clearly annoyed.

"I just wanted to make sure you're okay," Mira said, relieved to see Bella unharmed. She knew Debra could be a handful and was worried she might have hurt Bella.

Bella, remembering Anna's words, coldly replied, "You better keep your daughter in check. If she messes with me again, I won't hold back."

With that, Bella hopped into a cab and headed to Windsor Villa.

Mira watched Bella leave and sighed deeply.

What Mira didn't know was that Debra was indeed plotting revenge. She knew Bella still had a place in Sterling's heart, so she wouldn't dare touch her. But Anna? She was fair game.

Driving home, Anna noticed a van tailing her in the rearview mirror. At first, she thought it was just a coincidence, but after making several turns, it was clear she was being followed.

Anna started to get nervous. She might be tough, but she wasn't equipped to handle thugs.

She decided to head to the nearest police station for safety. But the van seemed to catch on and pulled up alongside her, forcing her off the road.

Seeing an intersection ahead, Anna didn't want to risk a crash, so she turned onto a side road. The further she drove, the more remote it got. Worse, her car was running out of gas. Finally, she had no choice but to block the road with her car and jump out, ready to run.

The van was blocked by her car, then five thugs with clubs got out and charged at her.

Luckily, Anna was wearing sneakers. If she'd been in heels, she would've been caught for sure. But even so, she couldn't outrun the men chasing her.

Anna kept trying to call for help, but there was no signal in this area.

Just as her legs were about to give out and she felt a wave of despair, a black Bentley drove up. Anna felt like she'd been saved and immediately waved her arms to stop the Bentley.

The Bentley stopped, and Colin rolled down the window, looking at Anna curiously.

"What's up, beautiful? Did you think I was handsome and want a ride?" Colin teased.

Anna didn't like Colin's tone. Normally, she wouldn't give a playboy like him the time of day, but right now, her life depended on him.

"Someone's trying to kill me. Can you help me?" Anna said, just as the thugs surrounded the Bentley.

Colin raised an eyebrow, looking at the thugs with a hint of mockery but no fear.
