Chapter 221 One of a Kind

After Anna figured things out, she happily finished the afternoon tea Colin had ordered for her, and then she went home to catch up on sleep.

At six in the evening, Colin appeared punctually downstairs at Anna's place.

He had also sent her a simple champagne-colored short dress earlier. When Anna saw the price tag, it made her heart race for quite a while.

She hadn't worn such luxurious clothes in a long time. After putting on the dress, she found that the size, waist, and bust fit perfectly, as if it was tailor-made for her. She really liked it.

However, she hid the price tag inside without removing it, fearing she might have to return it later.

When she got downstairs, Colin stared at Anna in a daze for quite a while, with a bit of light slowly flowing in his eyes. Anna's stunning beauty made his heart skip a beat.

Anna's beauty was bright and bold. Tonight, with her light makeup and the champagne-colored dress, she looked perfect. The moment he saw the dress, he knew it would suit her well.

Anna waved her hand in front of his eyes. "What, are you stunned?" Then she confidently got into the passenger seat.

"Do you like the dress?" Colin asked casually while fastening his seatbelt.

Anna nodded happily. "I like it, but it's too expensive, right? Shouldn't I return it?"

Colin smiled without answering her, suddenly saying, "Your lipstick is smudged."

Anna immediately reached out to open the mirror in front of the car.

As soon as the mirror opened, a familiar bracelet slid down from above, hanging behind the mirror and swaying in front of her eyes.

Anna was caught off guard by this surprise and could only cover her mouth and look at Colin.

Colin raised an eyebrow, then took down the bracelet and naturally pulled her hand over, saying, "I spent a lot of time finding this bracelet, so you better appreciate it."

Seeing Colin seriously putting the bracelet on her, Anna suddenly felt her eyes warm. Since Peter passed away, no one had ever prepared a surprise for her.

Although Colin often teased her, she had to admit that he was really good to her.

Ignoring his flirtatious behavior, he was indeed a man who could quickly make someone fall in love with him.

Gentle, wealthy, handsome, and from a good family, Anna looked at Colin, her heart fluttering for a few seconds.

"Have you used this trick on many girls?" Anna asked, her eyes brimming with tears.

Colin glanced at her. "You're ruining the mood."

Anna laughed, raising her hand to admire the starry sky bracelet on her wrist.

"Is this really my old bracelet?" Anna asked, full of joy.

But how did he find it after that explosion?

Colin seemed to read her mind. As he started the car, he explained, "I couldn't find the complete bracelet, but the gems on it are from your old one. I redesigned it, and now it's exclusive to Anna, unique in the world."

Hearing this, Anna looked at the bracelet again in disbelief, realizing it was indeed different from before.

She turned over the small silver disc hanging from the bracelet, which had letters engraved on it: [ANNA.]

Anna looked at Colin, both surprised and touched, not knowing what to say for a moment.

She didn't expect him to design a unique bracelet with her name on it just for her.

"What, are you moved?" Colin smiled slightly.

Anna was in a good mood and didn't want to argue with him, especially since she was genuinely touched.

"I didn't know you could design bracelets. Mr. Rivera, you really are multi-talented." Anna smiled so much that her face almost wrinkled.

Colin glanced at her, humming lightly. "There's a lot you don't know."

"Thank you, Colin. You're the first person to prepare a surprise for me since my dad passed away. I really like it." Anna opened the car window, leaning on it, and suddenly said softly.

The winter night breeze carried Anna's words into Colin's ears.

But half an hour later, Anna couldn't smile anymore. She had been so moved that she forgot to ask where Colin was taking her.

Now she was looking at an estate with a sign that read [The Rivera Mansion.]

"Stop the car." Anna snapped back to reality and shouted.

Colin was about to park and quickly hit the brakes but locked the car doors in time.

Anna's words came through. "Colin, what do you mean? Why did you bring me to your house? Are you taking me to meet your mom?"

Colin had no choice but to tell the truth. "Yes."

Anna felt like she was going crazy. Just thinking about Gia made her extremely nervous.

"No, I don't want to meet your mom. I quit this job. Let me out. Wait, why are you bringing me to meet your mom?" Anna was frantic. What was going on?

Colin sighed and explained, "It's like this. Ever since my mom saw you last time, she thought you were my girlfriend. And with that news incident, you understand, right?"

Anna glared at him. "But I'm not your girlfriend. Didn't you explain to your mom? So, all the gifts and surprises tonight had a purpose. You tricked me again?"

Colin quickly reassured her, "Of course, I explained, but she didn't believe me and insisted on meeting you."

This was true. Gia had been pestering him to bring Anna home, and he was really fed up.

"Why does your mom want to meet me?" Anna was on the verge of a breakdown.

Colin was also helpless. "How would I know? You'll find out if you meet her. For the sake of the bracelet, can you help me out this once?"

Anna looked at Colin in disbelief. "Don't joke with me. Your mom wants to meet me, and you don't know why?"

Colin said, "I really don't know."

Anna thought for a moment and said, "No, I'm not going. I'm afraid of your mom. Open the car door. I want to leave."

Colin pretended to be aggrieved. "But I've already told my mom you're coming for dinner tonight. If you don't go, how am I supposed to explain to her? Just help me out this once. I'll pay you ten times the rate, okay? I'll pay you right after dinner."

Colin suddenly pulled off the price tag Anna had hidden in her collar and said coolly, "This dress is quite expensive. Now it's yours. If you don't go, the cost will be deducted from your salary."

Anna punched him in anger. "Didn't you say you wouldn't harm me?"

It turned out all the previous emotions were fake. She was furious, feeling tricked by him once again.

"Ten thousand dollars for one job. Are you sure you don't want it?" Colin knew only money could persuade her.

Sure enough, Anna instantly lost her temper. She despised herself for being choked by money again.
